playing catch-up with one catch-all post
Characters: One catch-call post for Aya Brea, Link (to the Past), Maya Amano, and Eriko Kirishima. Oh, and you can join in. If you want. (Please.)
Setting: Various.
Format: Action
Summary: Four people are wandering about the Tower, doing various things. Pick a prompt, any prompt, and any character, any character, and let the shenanigans begin!
Warnings: The mun is crazy. But you already knew that.

[Aya flips through some of pages in vain - all of the things that looked even remotely promising were missing huge chunks of text. Tossing yet another useless text onto the floor, Aya decides to take a break at a table and breathe a bit - this Tower was difficult to deal with, especially considering that some of her mitochondrial powers refused to work on certain floors. She'd have to make a note as to which these were, so she could avoid them.]

[Okay, this was annoying. Mazes were not Aya's thing, and she decided to take the path of least resistance. Seeing as she was alone, she decided to ask her mitochondria for help.]
Pyrokinesis!
[... and with that, a pathway was cleared by burning through some hedges.]
Sorry, Smokey, but these things deserved it.

Wow, it's like being in an item shop that specializes in music!
[Link excitedly runs about touching everything. Because he can.]
I wonder if these instruments do anything...?
[Link decided to add to the noise by playing a ditty on his Ocarina. Because Heroes wield Ocarinas. It's Hero Law.]

[Yeah, Link came on that one bad time when he got transported to the far end of the room and IS NOW FACING A FUCKING GIANT SHADOW-MONSTER HE'S NEVER SEEN BEFORE why oh why does this always happen to him?]
Stay away!
[Link backs up, and hopes that his Lantern will do something. Oh, wait, Fire Rod.]
EAT FLAME, YOU SON OF A BEACH BALL!
[And now Link has torched the entire floor.]

[Who has morbid curiosity? Eriko has morbid curiosity. Ever since she heard of the existence of the morgue, well. Let's face it, Elly's a sucker for horror, and what's more fun than seeing the dead bodies of what may or may not be victims of the tower's many perils? Well, if anything, Eriko wasn't exactly squeamish - she came here on a mission, and that mission was to find any clues. The bodies of the deceased were very telling - she didn't exactly go to medical school, but perhaps something was around that would tip her off as to what to do next.]
I don't recognize any of these people...
[That's a good thing, Eriko]
Such frantic, visceral wounds...!
[Eriko studies the bodies some more.]

[Eriko had never even stepped foot onto a farm before, being the upper-middle-class woman that she is. However, it seemed like fun! She just had to get of a slight pest issue...]
Touche!
[In prime fighting form, Eriko parried a monster's attack as she brandished her fencing foil. Michael or her other Personas wouldn't be able to help her, but her abilities were not limited to her Personas!]

[Maya happily whistles as she sets down a blanket, and sits down to enjoy the garden. The party was exciting, but this was good, too! The kids were really something, weren't they? Banding together, sticking together, doing everything within their power to help each other out - and her.]
...
[... And her. Of course. She knew what they did for her on an intellectual level. She saw the images of it, too. Touching her chest, the bruise and scar weren't there anymore, but... perhaps it was psychological. In any case, it was difficult to take in. Did they regret forfeiting everything? Was she that much of a hindrance to their happiness that she made them do that? Perhaps she wasn't as good of a big sister as they held her up to be.]
...!
[Maya shakes her head, and slaps her cheeks gently. She came here to enjoy herself, not to be angsty! Let's Positive Thinking! Pumping her arms, Maya puts on a smile again - if you were watching her, it may be like seeing the stages of acceptance all in quick time.]

[Wow, what was with all of these computers? Still, as anybody who knows Maya will know, Maya will not stop touching everythinggawd what is it with my characters and touching things, until she finally gets bored with it and decides to find a computer that's more to her speed and time.]
Huh, this isn't too different from the computers we used at Kismet...
[As if it were habit, Maya begins typing frantically. A newsletter. About Gas Chamber and it's publicity shenanigans and why everybody in the Tower should listen to them.]
[ooc: If you really want to, feel free to make up your own prompt. I can go with whatever. Feel free to fight/kill anyone :P bwahahahahaha]

Floor 19 - Unfriendly Library
[Aya flips through some of pages in vain - all of the things that looked even remotely promising were missing huge chunks of text. Floor 28 - Music Room
Floor 24 - Oops, Got Unlucky
[Yeah, Link came on that one bad time when he got transported to the far end of the room and IS NOW FACING A FUCKING GIANT SHADOW-MONSTER HE'S NEVER SEEN BEFORE why oh why does this always happen to him?]
Stay away!

Floor 26 - The Morgue
[Who has morbid curiosity? Eriko has morbid curiosity. Ever since she heard of the existence of the morgue, well. Floor 33 - The Farm...?
[Eriko had never even stepped foot onto a farm before, being the upper-middle-class woman that she is. However, it seemed like fun! She just had to get of a slight pest issue...]
Touche!
[In prime fighting form, Eriko parried a monster's attack as she brandished her fencing foil. Michael or her other Personas wouldn't be able to help her, but her abilities were not limited to her Personas!]
Floor 29 - The Garden of Innocence (?)
[Maya happily whistles as she sets down a blanket, and sits down to enjoy the garden. The party was exciting, but this was good, too! The kids were really something, weren't they? Banding together, sticking together, doing everything within their power to help each other out - and her.]

Floor 27 - Technology an Individual from the 90's Wouldn't Understand
[Wow, what was with all of these computers? Still, as anybody who knows Maya will know, Maya will not stop touching everything

Bumping into Maya!
Ronald saunters up behind her though and peers over her shoulder, arms folded behind his back as he watches her both type and the thing that's coming up on the screen. The only indication she'd finally get of his presence would be an impressed little whistle. ]
...Cor, looks like you're pretty fired up there. Taking it you're a stringer then?
no subject
Oh, hey there!
[Maya stops what she's doing and faces Ronald, beaming]
I've never seen these kinds of toys before, so I thought I'd play with them!~
[... yes, that is her entire reasoning]
I mean, this one blinks whenever I press this red button! Isn't that totally exciting?
no subject
[ But have a smile back as he straightens himself up. ]
S'good to see someone with a healthy sense of curiosity, specially somewhere like this.
[ Pausing though just to grin. ]
Though I think I would've remembered a curious little bird like you if we've met before so I wager we haven't. The name's Ronald, by the way. You are...?

At times I'm a beautiful connoisseur of canned crab, and at other times I'm a mysterious reporter investigating the truth! But my true form in...!
[Pose!]
Maya Amano, at your service!
[Maya politely bows]
Nice to meet you!
no subject
[ there's a grin though. No denying he likes your spunk, Ma~ya. ]
Canned crab, eh? Got to hand it to you. Not a fan though. So...
[ Pausing to jam his hands into his jacket pockets. ]
Found anything useful about this place, Miss Ace Reporter?

Hope you don't mind! I'm finally back.
i don't mind! i'm a notoriously slow tagger, so no biggee!
XD That makes us both.
Aya, Floor 29 - it was not an easy choice
She looks around wildly until, from her slightly elevated vantage point, she spots Aya standing there.] Um...is, is there any reason you just tried t-to kill me?
why choose? DO THEM ALL
I'm so sorry...!
[Aya rushes over to try to help Tara]
Are you all right?
[Stupid question, but it had to be asked.]
I wish I could!
no subject
[Just in case, Aya took out a few pain=killers (which somehow work as HP-restoration items in her world?) and hands Tara a few]
This will help take some of the edge off, if you need it.
[Aya sighs relief, looking Tara up and down to make sure she didn't have any burn injuries]
I saw you floating - it seems like there are a lot of "gifted" people in this tower.

Floor 19 - Aya
[Don't mind Hei. He had just been walking through this floor when he noticed Aya reading.]

I guess I'm used to having all sorts of clues strewn about in the most obvious of places.
[This is true. Parasite Eve 2 had an ungodly amount of flavor text]

[And superhuman mitochondrial powers, but she'd leave that out for now]
So, you know the futility of finding these alleged "scientists" firsthand?

Eriko: Floor 33
The sounds of battle are the last thing he needed. But it sounds like someone may or may not need help. Even without his armor and with his Arch not functioning, he's an athletic man, and capable of delivering a powerful punch. Here's hoping Eriko doesn't mind some random shirtless dude rushing in to help, aiming a punch at the monster's head.*
no subject
[No, Eriko wasn't expecting this, but it was welcomed! The zombie monster she had encountered wasn't going down with standard fencing moves, but knowing zombies, getting in close-range within their biting capacity wasn't a good idea, either]
Careful! Don't get bitten!
[With that, Eriko decided against her better judgment to do her best in slicing off the monster's head with her rapier. Not the most elegance use of her weaponry, but somehow it worked]
Thank you so much for your help!
no subject
It wasn't any trouble. Are you all right?
no subject
A bit surprised, but otherwise unharmed. It's not the first zombie I've defeated, this world or another.
[Eriko brushes some dust off of her shoulder before bowing politely]
Thank you for coming to my aid. My name is Eriko Kirishima.

Eriko, Floor 26!
Ja, they're wonderful, aren't they?
[Whoops. She wasn't talking to him, but he answered her anyway. Ah, well. What better way to initiate a conversation than this? He takes a few steps into the room, glancing at the corpse the woman had been fawning over.]
no subject
I've never been in a morgue before, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to see for myself what it was like. I don't care much for the smell, but the opportunities for learning are more than enough to offset it.
[Eriko politely bows]
My name is Eriko Kirishima - may I ask your name?
no subject
He stands with a rigid, straight-backed posture, hands clasped behind his back.]
I am Doctor Richtofen. You may address me as "the doctor," if you like.
[Truth be told, he doesn't much care what people call him, but "the doctor" has such a nice ring to it. Short, simple, and easy for acquaintances and victims alike to remember.]
no subject
[Eriko says it a bit uneasily - this man was the spitting image of some mad doctor in some horror film. While Eriko enjoyed seeing such things from behind a television screen, seeing one right in front of her was another issue altogether.]
Do you frequent the morgue often?

Wink-- Floor 28
[Oh hey Link, there's an answer to a question you probably didn't actually expect to get answered. From a guy who looked like a twelve year old kid, standing near the staircase of the floor.]
no subject
A habit? You speak as if they had a mind of their own.
no subject
[And then he grinned a bit more.. silly.]
Although this ones in particular seem to be a bit haunted.
