Everyone was dead, there weren't even any stars anymore. No blue sky over Milano anymore. Romeo had wandered Milano and the path to Sonogno over the twenty days he had been here. He didn't know why he was here, he had disappeared. Just like Molly had but he didn't know why. At least he was a human here but with no friends around; no people at all, only bones littering the streets.
[Room 1-02] When Romeo woke up, not in the dark dead world he had been walking for so long, but the bright white room he had long come to think of as his own he jumped to his feet. He had been scared that he would never return. He worried about Molly, she had been away forever, alone on her world. The only person left.
He had also been scared that if he did come back he would still be a strange rocking thing. But he looked down at his hands and grinned. "Human again." He looked around to see if his roommates were in, he was especially worried about Gamzee, he had been hurt lots by mister Jason.
"I'm back!"
[Around the tower] Romeo left his room and started down the tower, he wanted to find all his friends. Check that they were okay, that they were all back to normal too. That even though really bad things had happened they had managed to keep their spirits up. When he saw any of his friends he ran up to them, hugging them or clasping their hand.
Of course he had another reason for going to every single floor, Piccolo hadn't been in his room. He had jumped out of Romeo's pocket when Romeo had been taken a month and a half ago, and he hadn't seen him since. "Piccolo?" He called, looking under things. "Have you seen my friend Piccolo? He is a small white weasel!"
[Floor 35] After his reunion with Piccolo Romeo returned to his room, now that he had checked on everyone he actually noticed the note on his bed. On top of a book; another reward for the horrible things that had happened... The book was Moby Dick, Romeo smiled sadly. But it was a story he had wanted to perform with puppets and he had promised to teach mister Russia how to use a puppet theatre.
Except looking round his room his theater was no where to be seen. Romeo frowned and set off again to search.
He stumbled upon it on floor 35, he hadn't seen it before because he had known Piccolo would be inside or in the nice forest. He ran towards it, his face crumpling when he saw how damaged it was. All the paint was pealing off, the curtains were soaked through and torn from the constant storms. It didn't look pretty anymore, but sad and broken.
Romeo burst into tears, it was such a silly thing to cry about. After everything that had happened, seeing all his friends turning into scary things, being turned into a scary thing himself, being trapped in a rocking toy, witnessing his lifeless world. That it was seeing his destroyed toy that finally made him cry.
He knew it wasn't mister Jason or one of the other bad people who had done this, it wasn't the sort of thing they would do. He didn't know who it had been, but someone had put it out here and now it was ruined. He scrubbed his eyes and tried to stop his tears.

RNG says Floor 15
What he hadn't expected was to suddenly see someone he hadn't seen in almost two months, much less being suddenly assaulted with small child hugs. Not that he was complaining! In fact it brought quite a grin to his face as he gave the kid a quick hug in return. "Romeo! Geez, I haven't seen you in forever!"
When he released Romeo however, he crossed his arms and looked almost comically contemplative as he held his chin and spoke in an over-exaggerated fashion. "Piccolo? What's that? Some kind of instrument? I don't think I've ever heard of anything like that..."

"No... he's my weasel. Can you remember him? He's been gone for ages..." Romeo bit his lip. What if one of the monsters had found him before he could find any of Romeo's friends?

"--Oh!" And then something dawned on him.
"Could it be you're talking about..." Ven reached into the folds of his vest(s), digging around for a bit as something else seemed to be shifting around. After a moment though, his face grew into a wider grin, and he pulled out one curled up Piccolo, who unfurled himself and looked at Romeo once he was brought out. "...this guy?"

But when Ven brought out Piccolo Romeo's face broke into a grin. "Piccolo!" He reached out to take Piccolo, letting him run all over him. "I missed you so much! Were you good for mister Ven?"

He frowned for a moment, "I was in the stupid competition between the bad people and then they made me go back to my world for a bit but I'm back now!"

Hey...
[... A puppet theater? Huh. It must be his... but how did it get here? It looked like it was in kind of bad shape... maybe that's what he was crying about.]
Hey... we can fix it. It'll be okay.
no subject
He blinked up at the man, hope returning at his words. He rubbed at his eyes again.] Do you think we can sir?
no subject
Sure. A little paint, some new fabric... maybe replace some of the parts that are broken... it'll look better than ever.
[He smiled, trying to be encouraging.]
I'm Ryoji. What's your name?
no subject
Romeo sir, my name's Romeo.

[He held out a hand to the boy.]
What do you say we take this to the workshop and start seeing what we can do?

[Tan is curled up on his shoulder, breathing quietly. Every so often Ken looks over at him and smiles softly.]

R... Romeo? Don't do that!
[Seriously, if he had been less distracted his first instinct would have been to stab whatever was 'attacking' him with his spear.]
no subject
[He looked down, he should have been more careful, he didn't want to scare his friend.]
no subject
[Tan peeks out of Ken's hood and climbs back on his shoulder, staring at Romeo.]
Who's your friend?

And they do! When Romeo passes by this floor he could see a set of seven fountains, emitting showers of sparks- All of different colors. Gold, silver, red, pink, green, blue and white. Gandalf was near of them preparing rockets, though at a distance. You have to be careful with fireworks. ]
