Setting: 2nd Floor Dorms bathroom, after the Fellowship Meeting

Summary: Rusty and Sparky get drunk, take a bath and talk about the things.
Warnings: Renos, drinking, nakedness, angst, etc.

Rusty, after a few swigs from one of the bottles in his trunk made his way to the aforementioned bathroom with the advised towels.

"Yo. Sparky?" He spoke, slipping in to the room.

"That. Is the worst name for a bar." Rusty replied, stripping his shirt off and revealing the mess of scars that his upper body was. "I think... Sergei's II might work better. It was the bar on the Elegante."

He all but beamed at the sight of the cabinet and the cigarettes. "Damn I haven't had a smoke in forever."

"Thought ya might like it." He tossed a bar of soap at the other's head, then shuffled over to the cabinet and prepared a few glasses full of different stuff. "Try this one. It's latest, made it out of berries, along with some herbs. It ain't bad... but here."

"Sergei's II, huh? Good memories there?' There were still things he was fuzzy on, with what happened to Reno on the Elegante. "Sure, we could name it that."

He took a sip, mulling it over again. "Mint's good."

There was a little smile at that, "Yeah, only one bad one but Sergei's was the place to be really. Marco tended bar, an' there was always someone cooking in the back. It was better than Goblin's."

Sparky didn't want to talk about back home, instead he just took his share of alcohol and set it next to his tub. "So whatcha think about the meeting? It was all I could do tryin' not to burst out laughin' at some of the things they said about alliances."

"Eh." A shrug, "it wasn't a completely stupid idea, but they see things as too cut and dry to make it work."

"...I probably shouldn't have worn the suit though." He mused, stripping further.

[midgarhorizon]

"Yeah... got to say some of the people are bad as the people on the other side like that. And screw the suit, nobody takes us seriously enough anyway." Perhaps that had been Sparky's fault, but it did seem to be a trend with the people he'd been speaking with lately.

Once he had his alcohol and other things sorted, he pulled off his shorts and flopped into his tub, sinking up to his chin. "Oh yeah, should do this more often."

There was a hum of agreement as Rusty sank in to the water as well.

"Tseng included." He replied bitterly to the comment about not being taking seriously. "He... ordered me to step down."

[midgarhorizon]

"I'm not really surprised. He got pissed off at me about the whole you know what bit." Sparky sank even a little bit more, almost up to his mouth and ears, and sighed. "This is the stuff, man.

"He's just... not seeing that we've changed." Rusty sighed, eyes closing. "And you know what? Fuck him."

[midgarhorizon]

"He's still new here, I'm givin' him a chance to realize it, but if he still can't figure it out... I'll talk to him." Sparky just shook his head. "What happened when you talked to him?"

"...I told him I had things under control and that he didn't need to worry about it right off the bat and he just... Tseng'd at me." A sigh, "'Your input would be helpful but I will be handling things from now on'." He rattled in a fairly good impression of the man.

"He just... Odin He doesn't listen."

"Yeah, I'm not surprised. He's used to being the talker. Or takin' things from Veld. It'd probably take Veld at this point." The heat was starting to get to the tired turk, his body starting to really ache as stress points released.
