Characters: Count Bleck ([personal profile] bleh_heh_heh_bleck), OPEN
Setting: Library
Format: Starting with prose but will switch
Summary: Bleck is just searching through books, seeing if he can find anything interesting.
Warnings: None

The books in the library were all available to him. All but the ones that were removed by the administrators. And Bleck didn't mind that. For now. No, he was focusing on magic, dark magic. Spells that hadn't been available in his dimension before he'd killed his people.

He actually felt a bit guilty about that now, but not guilty enough to regret it. No, Count Bleck regretted nothing but allowing his father to take Timpani from him. So he'll be sitting in the library, a pile of books nearby. And the Dark Prognosticus floating alongside him, as always. As focused as he appeared though, he wasn't. He was thinking of a certain human woman he thought was dead, might not be, but most likely is.

"Timpani..."

John has spent pretty much all of his waking hours since he arrived yesterday wandering aimlessly about the tower, lost in his own thoughts and trying to get a feel for his surroundings. He's kind of given up hope of finding his salamander at this point. Though as sad as the thought that she didn't make it here with him is, it's probably for the best. This tower doesn't seem like the place for a child, no sir.

He's been in kind of a weird funk since arriving, unable to really bring himself to be to upset about his new surroundings. Though maybe a ghost story or five will do something to lighten his mood. Which brings him to the library, where he spends quite a bit of time wandering the shelves in an attempt to find something remotely chilling.

So far he's found two books that look somewhat promising, and taking them in his arms he moves to find a table to sit at. And that's when he notices the the Dark Prognosticus. Br, making a beeline for that instead because hot damn there has to be something truly amazing in there.

Hi there Count Bleck, John's just going to stare at your magical floating book for now, okay? Okay.

"Any chance I can look through this when you're finished?"

Yes, apparently he thinks this is a library book...
grislytragedian: (Well that sure is a thing.)

"Oh. Sorry, I hadn't realized it was...my bad, I thought it was just a library book. I mean this place seems weird enough for something like that to be normal." He pauses. Well this is certainly awkward. Good Job, John. "It just looked like an interesting read, that's all."

"Ah, so it's a spellbook then? Some kind of magical tome of dark magic? Interesting."

It's a shame Rose isn't here. She would have a better appreciation for this sort of thing. Magic and wizards are more her thing.
grislytragedian: (Could you repeat that?)

He brings his gaze down from the book and onto the Count himself, giving the other a somewhat appraising look. "And I am guessing this Count Bleck is you?"

"John. John Lalonde." He extends a gloved hand to the Count. Handshake, perhaps?
