Characters: Count Bleck ([personal profile] bleh_heh_heh_bleck), OPEN
Setting: Library
Format: Starting with prose but will switch
Summary: Bleck is just searching through books, seeing if he can find anything interesting.
Warnings: None

The books in the library were all available to him. All but the ones that were removed by the administrators. And Bleck didn't mind that. For now. No, he was focusing on magic, dark magic. Spells that hadn't been available in his dimension before he'd killed his people.

He actually felt a bit guilty about that now, but not guilty enough to regret it. No, Count Bleck regretted nothing but allowing his father to take Timpani from him. So he'll be sitting in the library, a pile of books nearby. And the Dark Prognosticus floating alongside him, as always. As focused as he appeared though, he wasn't. He was thinking of a certain human woman he thought was dead, might not be, but most likely is.

"Timpani..."

Aleph nodded, picking out a few of the books and flipping through them as he spoke. "In a place like this, I want to be able to improve my abilities as much as I can, and be as versatile as I can. I've always wanted to learn a little magic anyway."
alephbet: (Think I'm the only one)

"Are you particularly skilled at magic?" Aleph asked, looking up from the books. He assumed so, given how many books he'd taken a look at. Some of these seemed beyond him.

"Would you tutor someone if they asked for it?" Aleph didn't have anything much to pay with, so he didn't bring that up. "Or at least provide advice - some of these spells don't look like I should be attempting them on my own."
alephbet: (He's going back to war)

"Teaching is a skill of its own - not everybody can do it, but it helps to be an expert at what you're trying to teach." Aleph paused. "I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Aleph."
alephbet: (I'll be here to hold your hand)

"Nice to meet you, Count Bleck. I look forward to working with you." Aleph held out his hand for a shake.

Aleph let go of Count Bleck's hand - no real discomfort at shaking a disembodied hand, he was used to weird shapes - and looked back at his pile of books.

"Where would you recommend a beginner start?"
alephbet: (That's why I don't want to be a Messiah)

"I'll give that a try. Thanks."

Shadows, huh? That kind of magic wasn't what he was used to.
alephbet: (All of those things that I wanted to be)

[personal profile] alephbet 2012-08-09 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Thanks." Aleph took the book and tucked it under his arm. "That's a handy trick."
alephbet: (And they won't wait)

"I hope so. Well, I'll let you get back to your reading for now. It was a pleasure to meet you," Aleph said, inclining his head slightly.

"I'll see you later." With that, Aleph left the library.
