[OPEN] Mad Genius at Work

Summary: Szayel has discovered the 27th floor. Mad science is about to commence!
Warnings: Um... evil laughter?

You know the 27th floor; the room with all that techno science stuff? You probably pass it by on the way up, because lets face it, with people like Jason around, who wants to stick around there. Today, if you come up to the 27th floor, you will hear someone cackling in what sounds like evil glee.

People that choose to look into it will find one pink haired shinigami genius hard at work, bent over a table that has some smoking beakers full of... something.

Bother? Run away?

Szayel paused his work at the voice, sparing a glance over his shoulder. He thought for sure there would be very few mundane creatures that would enter a place such as this. Perhaps he underestimated the stupidity of the people of this world.

"Nothing so ridiculous as that, I can assure you," he replied, his tone all bu saying get the hell out.

Sadly, Szayel's tone is completely lost on John. He just doesn't quite recognize it for what it is and make the connection that he should probably leave and go bother somebody else for a while.

"Hehe, not a fan of necroscience?" That's totally a word. "Well what is your not-so-ridiculous experiment then?"

Szayel raised a test tube, giving it a slight shake, before dumping the contents into a beaker. It instantly started to smoke, throwing off massive plumes of white, until the formerly green contents turned clear.

He picked up the beaker, looking extraordinarily pleased with himself.

"Oh... merely insuring that I won't run into any problems in the future."

John has no idea what Szayel's doing but damn if it doesn't look cool. That's really all that matters here.

"Sooo it is some kind of weapon then? Or something to use on yourself perhaps?"

"Hmph..."

Szayel poured the contents into a small vial, corking it and slipping it under his robes.

"Depends on how often I am irritated by others."

Oh...okay hold on. Hold on....he's thinking maybe that was a hint. Was that a hint?

"Am I bothering you? I am really not trying to, I was just curious."

Szayel sloooooowly turned toward the little pale faced creature. There was a smile on his face that was all together unsettling, and probably would have sent someone such as Nnoitra running for the hills.

"Are you familiar with the phrase, 'Curiosity killed the cat'?"

John remains unfazed, kids just a little too desensitized for his own good. Unable to keep himself from looking a little proud, he chuckles.

"Sir, you are talking to a Master of the Horror Genre." This is 100% self-proclaimed titled and should not be taken seriously. John, watching a lot of horror movies does not make you a master. "Of course I am familiar with it. Though like the other saying goes 'Nothing ventured, nothing gained'. Without curiosity, we would never learn anything wouldn't you agree?"

If Szayel could have looked any less impressed, he probably would have. If he was in a sadistic mood, he probably would have unleashed his Bankai and see how quickly he could maintain that title. Then again, there was always the possibility the idiot would like it.

"Of course," Szayel replied dryly, rolling his eyes in exasperation, before turning his focus back to his work.

That is definitely a possibility. Big flashy sword technique? Kind of awesome and definitely merits more questions. So Szayel definitely made the right call here, because now it's definitely sunk in that John should probably leave.

"Ah...right. The best of luck with your mad science, don't blow the tower up because that would kind of suck, and good day."

Heading towards the door now.
