001; The saddest tears ever.
Characters: Venezia (North Italy) and you come here.
Setting: Cafeteria.
Format: I'll match you!
Summary: Venezia finds her menu to be less than savory. This is the saddest moment of her life guys.
Warning: Extreme exaggeration.
So she'd gone through the basics of her first day. Wake up in this strange place, the initial freak out, stumble around and eventually find herself sitting down for breakfast in the cafeteria. She'd had moments where she could want to make a fuss, yell at somebody! But who were these people? She didn't know anyone so far and pretty much everything freaked her out. What is this outfit anyway? She could only hope this was a nightmare.
If so, it just got worse. "How horrible," Venezia can be found muttering at the cafeteria table, looking down in despair. They had not allowed her any of the other foods. Just this sticky brown muck in a bowl.
Her face was just full of emotion. "I can't!" Despite her hunger, which is always roaring in the morning, she pushed the bowl away promptly and let her face fall into her hands. It's not too dramatic this is serious. "This dream sucks and I'll die."

[Don't be alarmed by Kanaya, even with her gray skin, yellow eyes, candy corn colored horns, and pointed canines, she's mostly harmless. At least now while she's not threatened.]
Your first meal in the tower has to be oatmeal, I am unsure as of why but that is how it has always been. I regret to inform you that this isn't a dream and is in fact reality. There may be other people that you know here.
[she motions to her food] Tomorrow you are open to all of the other food.

The tower wants me to starve. Is it some initiation test?
[She'll go along with her subconscious though. Maybe it will allow her to skip to the very next morning where this abominable dish is nowhere to be seen.] I don't even know how I got here.
no subject
You may think of it as a test, but eating any other food other than oatmeal on your first day, or as your first meal, here will have nasty consequences. I would suggest just eating it for now and then you can have the better food tomorrow. I believe you can also access the kitchens to make your own meals if you are so inclined.
[she frowns a bit] None of us are positive how we got here.
no subject
being able to make her own food sounded promising! a new hope! and all she had to do was
eat this] Well now I want to leave.
[she turns back to the girl, wondering how her subconscious thought her up.] You're stuck here? What's your name, cara?
no subject
I go by Kanaya Maryam, and you?
no subject
Buongiorno, Kanaya! Venezia or Viviana will do. You sound like you know a lot about this place!
no subject
Which of the names do you prefer to be called? I have been here a few months now.

[Romana jerks at the voice, her mind still haunted by the previous events that occurred, phantoms taking her sister's form, using her sister's form. It's just another trick, she's not here. She refuses to let her hopes grow.
Still, she finds herself slowly turning, her plate of food held tightly in her hand, Romana still trying to tell herself that she's a fool that Venezia's gon-
... sitting right there. Perfectly unharmed. In her shock Romana drops the plate, the crockery shattering as she stares, open mouthed at her younger sister before sprinting over, grabbing the younger woman and clinging tightly to her] Venezia, Viviana, per favore, per favore, be real this time, please, Viviana, oh god I'm going crazy...
no subject
oh.
nope it's just romana.she was kind of jostled by the sudden viper grip which had almost had her elbow in her oatmeal. she just sat there, listening to her sister go on about being crazy. she manages to peek up to her sister, wondering why on earth she was making a face like that.
but she's here! finally, this dream is a bit comforting. maybe once her sister is less crazy this could turn into an adventure dream. or cook for her!]
You might be! I almost feel into the oatmeal, you know.

--Tell me something only Venezia would know!
no subject
[she blinks. wow, she seems really serious about something. why does she have to think of something, anyway? she almost wants to say no! that is ridiculous and too much effort!
but for now she will go with it, if it will stop the tightness of her grip.] Um. When we share the bed you cling a whole lot! Like, it gets kind of uncomfortable.
Kind of like now!
no subject
She's alive. Alive, safe, she hasn't failed, she isn't alone]
I-I thought you were gone... I couldn't... I couldn't feel you...
no subject
she instinctively brings up a hand to hold the back of her sister's head, maybe at an attempt to comforting her. she's really at a a loss right now. her sister can get emotional sometimes, but rarely like this!
and for a dream, this seems realistic to the point that it's heartbreaking. she takes up the role to pat her back and rock a bit, even if she's terribly confused wow.]
Were you taken this morning, too? Is that it?
If you missed me, don't worry, I'm here now!! [isn't she just the most comforting]
no subject
Voice muffled, she shakes her head] No... weeks, months... I don't remember... then they took me back and everything was gone, Naples was destroyed, Rome burning... V-Venice was flooded. I couldn't feel you! [She breaks down into a fresh set of sobs, Romana completely unable to regain her composure]
no subject
[there's a sort of desperate hopefulness in her voice, as teasing as that might sound another time. what on earth could lead her sister to talk of things like that? it was more than unpleasant, the thought was horrific.
she pets her sister's hair a bit more desperately.] What're you going on about, anyway? It's freaking me out.
no subject
[Her shoulder's shake, Romana struggling to keep her emotions in check] I thought I had failed again...
no subject
she has finally decided that this dream more than just blows and that she wants out. but the crying sister still holding her tightly felt really real and the emotions felt really real.]
Stop it, okay? That didn't happen, I was just there yesterday. Yesterday. It couldn't happen!
Who told you something like that? What they?
no subject
[Her face turns steely, Romana closing her eyes and looking like she's pain. It hurts so much to remember the wasteland that was theirs.] I-I don't know... maybe you've been here all along, maybe they just wouldn't let you wake up... but our home is gone. Ask Spagna, she'll confirm it for you...
no subject
she grabs for one of her sister's hands, scared for what sort of terrible possibilities she was mumbling about now. for once she can't say much.]
She's here?
no subject
Si... her, Francia... Canada... Prussia and America were here before but... nobody's seen them for awhile...
[She takes a deep, if shaky breath] There's more. There... there's another world, where we're men and nations like Ungheria, Belgio are women... Some of those nations are here...
no subject
or crazy.] Sorella.
no subject
no subject
It's a cool thought, of course. But, sorella, that is a bit far out there you know.
no subject
And it's true! There's a male America, a male Spain... there's a male version of me... [Frowns] He seems like a child, compared to me though. Very whiny. [Because she never whines at all nope, no way shut up]
no subject
Maybe they're playing tricks on you? There can't be two Italia Romanas, you know! We have enough!
[she falters on that last part romano? preposterous!!]
no subject
They're not! I've seen him, he has... he has my curl. [Hey hey hey the world needs all the Romanas geeze. Romano can get stuffed though]
no subject
Are any cute? [a guy sorella sounds kinda scary actually]
no subject
It's just food North Italy. I promise it won't hurt you--
[She started and glanced over her shoulder at the woman sitting two tables back]
...North Italy, when did you get here?
no subject
[oh, but this is not a strange dream voice. this sounds like a person. she also turns around, mid-pout, to see
who is this.] Hey, you! I think this morning? Or last night?
I don't remember the trip at all.
no subject
[One day. One day she will remember who Canada is.
Today is not that day. Canada can already tell]
Well no one remembers the trip...we were all taken here.
no subject
I won't let them! They almost made me eat this sticky mess!
Where are they? Hiding?
no subject
Perhaps you should calm down a little and eat the oatmeal.

[She smiles crookedly] It will be alright. Food is just food.
no subject
I doubt you'll die. [realizing that was possibly rather harsh, he pauses then decides to offer more of an explanation.] Your first meal in this tower must be oatmeal. Then you may have other food.
no subject
and this is the attitude she receives?]
I will! You'll help me to my grave, like that, you know. Is that how you act courteous, you?
