Summary: A small, adorable creature wakes up in the tower of souls and decides to go exploring~. Nothing could possibly go wrong in this situation.
Warnings: Possible Inevitable spoilers for Madoka Magica.

[First scenario: in room 1-13] The immobility? That wasn't really a big deal. The strange bed? Nope. Comfy, kinda. It could have done with some more cushions, but that was personal taste and easily dismissed. Kyuubey sat up and stretched the moment it sensed a response from its body, and looked around with a few quick turns of its fluffy head. Its tail lashed back and forth absently, and it just. Sat there. Unblinking, thoughtful. It didn't need to check the trunk, and it had seen the note from the bed. Rescued, huh? Is this what the new universe looked like, or was this some remnant of the old one? Did it still have a job to do? Hmm, it sure was a puzzler! About two hours later, it scrambled to its feet and darted out of the door.

[Second scenario: in the tower] A white flash darted to and fro, slipping between shadows and stone, red eyes flashing out at anything noteworthy. When it spotted someone promising, it would run out, slower, easier to see, and either accidentally wind up in their path, or just pattering alongside them with little cat-like steps for a couple of metres. Testing, observing.

[Kidou was just walking by when a cat...thing decided to follow him. What a strange little creature...

He stops walking and crouches down to stare at Kyuubey.]

What are you, little guy? [He hesitantly reaches out to pet Kyuubey, to see if it was hostile or not.]

[ It stops when he does, then half-sits up to push its head into the palm of the boy's hand to encourage him. It's soft! ]

I'm Kyuubey!

[There was a cat in the tower, how cute.

Well. Close enough to a cat. And Katusya's allergies weren't acting up just yet, so he thought it might be safe enough to kneel down to get a better look at it.]

I haven't seen an animal like you before.

[ Oh wow y'all are really friendly. ] That's 'cause I'm not an animal, of course! I'm Kyuubey.

2nd scenario

[Akihiko jogs down the hallway as part of his exercise routine, coming to a stop to check his pulse when he starts to tire. He's not particularly looking in any specific direction, so he doesn't notice right away that there might be something close by during his stop.]

[It talked! :O]

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were intelligent.

[He's a little surprised when it talks, but smiles and scratches it's head]

It's nice to meet you, Kyuubey. My name is Kidou Yuuto. Did you just arrive here?

[vertrag]

Aw, that's okay. [ It fluffs its tail fastidiously ] Pleased to meet you.

[Kanaya has both bad judgment and very good survival instincts. Sometimes they clash, like when she used to deal with Jack Noir. Sometimes she has to pick which one to listen to.

Fortunately, bad judgment doesn't factor into being followed! That is straight-up survival instinct. As soon as another presence starts shadowing her steps, she turns to face it.

Oh, in addition to bad judgment and good survival instincts, she also has a chainsaw. This is not a very good combination of things.

She holds the weapon at the ready, but doesn't rev it. Eventually she finds the other being in the vicinity.

[ This place sure is full of interesting people! Kyuubey, not quite visible, scampers in front of the guy to get a better look. ]

[ Whoops, the jig is up. Kyuubey casually steps out into plain sight, as is polite. ] Hey there!

[ you know what're good? Tummy rubs. ]

Yeah. It sure is a big place, huh? I've never seen anything like it.

[Once Kyuubey crosses his line of sight, he freezes and watches the creature's movements, ready to defend himself should it attack. Sure Akihiko, like it would do that. Look at how cute it is. There have been so many monsters attacking in the last few days, and he wonders if this one was forgotten.]

[Well then Kyuubey's gonna get a nice tummy rub]

It's a lot bigger when it's not broken like it is now, too.

[ entirely unhesitant nuzzle back! ] What's your name?


[ It probably already knows but hey human customs amirite ]

[ other than the tilted head, it looks pretty chill right now. Tummy rubs and info. Perfect combo. ]

[It looks harmless, but the same can be said about shadows. Some of them are small and cute, but deadly. He's not sure whether to call it over, or carefully inch around it and hope it doesn't bite him or something.

He opts for the second, slowly stepping around it while watching its movements.]

[ The strange creature appears to have lost interest and started grooming itself!

[Lambda opens the door to her shared room, thinking to root in her trunk for some more candy, when she notices Kyuubey sitting there.]

Ooh! I love cats, come here, kitty~☆
