Open! Eridan's intro post

Characters: Eridan Ampora and anyone who feels inclined to encounter him
Setting: Dormitory hallways/Anywhere you need him, really; late night
Format: Anything you want
Summary: Eridan arrives, prepare to deal with a mentally and emotionally unstable troll.
Warnings: Swearing. Like a sailor. Ha ha ha.

Eridan is wandering aimlessly through the Tower halls and floors. There's a part of him that really wants to find someone he knows but then the other part of him is telling him that what he should be doing right now is hiding in his room in the event that the very same thing is an issue.

He's changed into his regular clothing, at least, and he has his longest scarf wrapped around his neck and presumably collar in a slight bundle. He's also not really paying much attention to where he's walking. He seems pretty zoned out.

hallway | why does luke talk to the strangest people

"Oh!"

Luke was still getting used to lacking a curfew as well as a bedtime. It was sort of invigorating, especially with the lights returned! But he'd learned quick that there were still things to beware in the Tower at night. Sadly, this is Luke, so naturally he has to greet everyone he meets first despite this lesson.

"Hello!" And the most awkward of pauses, "...you look really cool!"

hallway | yes, harassing newbies is so gentlemanly

"Wh-what?" Had he said something funny? Maybe he couldn't hear well because of those frilly things on his face.

"I like your scarf!" He spoke a bit louder, like one would use on their grandpa who'd forgotten their hearing aid. His volume dropped back to normal almost immediately after, however, because concern overrides fashion every time. "Are you okay? You seem lost."

hallway | hey, headfins are cool :C Luke wants headfins

...good? Well, that was a weird way to word things. Then again, Luke had been peeking occasionally at the network, so he was already well aware of the gray-skinned aliens being a bit peculiar. Luke is a lurker, oh geez where did I go wrong

"Oh, you're new!" Luke seemed to perk up at that. "I'm sort of new too." In the hadn't-explored-much way. "Do you mind if I join you? At least until you find your friends, anyway."

hallway | ...so rationality comes from gills? :o

"Are you sure? There's a lot of-" What had they been called? "-Trolls? They look like you, only without the gills." Luke wouldn't harp on the language this time, even if he did cringe. "I'm sure there should be a couple people you recognize, anyway!"

Luke nodded and trotted after, seeming quite pleased. "My name's Luke! What's yours?"

hallway | This is the most sensible thing, and I almost sent this comment on Rox's account.

"It's nice to meet you, Eridan!" He even had a cool name, aaah these troll people were neat- wait a second, why was he sulking?

"Huh? Did something happen?" Luke walked ahead of Eridan a bit, turned, and began walking backwards. "They're not going to blame you for your world or what have you, if that's what you mean."

hallway | I'm juggling at least five at any given time B'D LJ what have you done to me

"Your world was already gone? That's terrible!" They'd tried so hard to save London, so an entire world being destroyed is still hard for Luke to grasp. He wanted to ask whenre they were if the world was gone, but it just...didn't seem proper to bring it up.

"...well, why else would they be unfriendly? Because you have gills?" Thus far, Luke hadn't seen any other troll-people with gills...but he'd mostly only been peeking at them, not talking to them. "'Cos that isn't right, if so." A pause, and Luke crossed his arms, indulging in a moment of sulk-itude himself. "Then again, they don't seem very friendly, so I can't say I'd be too surprised."
