Nanoha had been acting ... odd for the past several days. She still put on a face of acting completely friendly and cheerful to all she met, of course. That hadn't appeared to change in the slightest bit. Yet if anyone spoke with her, she would have come across as ... distracted. It was as if a part of her conscious attention was absent, or dwelling way too hard on other matters.
In truth, she was very well disturbed by matters. Even as she ate breakfast, she barely paid any mind to what it was. An hour later she wouldn't be able to tell you what she ate.
She had died. She was certain of that. The memory was quite vivid - the pain, the loss of blood, the feeling of her own body growing colder by the moment, and then...
She woke up. It had shaken her, and prevented her from continuing to fight even after she was back on her feet again. The simple fact of being so personally disturbed that she couldn't even bring herself to fight bothered her on a whole other level, of course. It felt shameful.
That level of pain was almost familiar, too. It was much like when she had been severely injured, and nearly paralyzed, at the cost of saving her friend Vita years before. That injury had left a lasting impact on her body she'd long fought to overcome...
Yet here she was, having gone through far, far worse. And she was just as she'd been before that fight. What state did that leave her body in now? What did that mean for the rest of her? At the very least, it had put her mind in a mess.
She didn't regret helping the others when she did. She'd have done it again, and would probably continue to do so. She'd heard about people dying and coming back in this Tower, but actually experiencing it was another matter.
As such, she wasn't sure how to even wrap her head around it.

* Library
After awhile, Nanoha really needed to just sit down and think, but she needed to do it and focus on something else besides what happened the week before.
Having seated herself at an empty table on the third floor, she laid out a fully loaded clip of Cartridges. Beside it she set down an empty one she'd dispensed during the battles the previous week.
One thing she'd been taught in the attack was that their belongings were not safe. She should well have known that. It left her with a particular problem, however...
Her ammunition was limited.
She could fight without Cartridges, but with Raising Heart having long ago been upgraded into the Belkan Cartridge System, it would put her at a severe disadvantage.
She knew the principles of creating Cartridges. She had to as an instructor. But the actual act of doing it? That was another matter. Condensing magical energy into them would take awhile, and probably be taxing - she was a combat Mage, and it wasn't really her expertise. She probably could do it...
But the actual shells would be another matter.
Sighing, she tipped the empty Cartridge over with one finger.
This was going to take some thought. Until then, she needed to be more careful with what she flung around.
[OOC - So yeah, for point of reference since that point of the attack is still being threaded - Nanoha does bite it along with Lina, Sayaka, and Jin in the magical nuke squad.]

Cafeteria
Um, hey...?

Hello, there!
[Nice and chipper. Despite the momentary slow start to it there, Nanoha's at least attempting not to let onto her thoughts.]

Is this seat taken?
[One glance around would show that the cafeteria is surprisingly busy around this time, and... well... Yeah.]

No, go right ahead!
[After all, with everything that had happened? In spite of where her thoughts lay, getting to know more people in the Tower was probably on the "good idea" side of things.]
My name's Nanoha. It's nice to meet you.
