Summary: Sou is looking around and he's not happy.
Warnings: A terribly ill tempered "prince"...violence, pretty much anything can happen.

Dorms
Sou's awakening was nothing more than graceful. He rolled out of bed with a terrible headache. He didn't take a look at his surroundings as he leaned over to rub the pain from his temples.

He stood and immediately he knew something was definitely wrong. He was alive. He felt the heavy hit to the back of his head before everything had gone black. The sniper's hit was on target. Why is he here?

He didn't bother to look in his trunk. He didn't bother to give a damn about who was in here or not. He needed answers and he certainly wasn't going to be someone's prisoner. He didn't notice his indigo collar either.

Tower Floors
Still not satisfied with what he learned, he took it upon himself to explore. He didn't care about the warnings, if he ever got any. He didn't care about the opinions others had of him. That came with territory. He didn't bother with the system to ask stupid questions. He already knew that he wasn't in Japan and even worse he was on the hunt.

Nineteen and hot headed, he had no interest in anyone's personal lives and it showed on his face. There was no time for idle chit-chat when he had his own agenda. Any monsters in his way were faced with a very angry fire Alter user.

"Who's in charge?" He shouted out.

"It could have been a lot of things, not just something inside the earth." He wasn't sure if he believed that their world is gone, but there were a number of things that might have destroyed the world.

"Elian thinks that alters are from another dimension, and that I went there before I lost my memory."

"You mean the Other Side. I've heard that theory too and Mujo killed hundreds to prove that point." His fist tightened his jaw clinched. "That guy...yeah, I killed him and destroyed that lab of his. Ever since...."

He trailed off and closed his eyes. He really didn't want to think about those deaths and how he witnessed countless children born and sacrificed just for the sake of science.

"Mujo? Elian mentioned that name to me. He said I was fighting him with Kazuma."

Even now, there's a tinge of acidity when he says the name Kazuma. He can't even remember the man's face, but he's angry when he thinks of his name.

"I guess the constant is Mujo in this equation. Kazuma is of little concern to me. He's reckless and a hazard to be around. I don't see why you obsess over him." Sou sighed as if he was a bit jealous. He wasn't even remembered and he did more damage but Kazuma got more of a reaction than his own name.

"Tch, like I care anyway."

"Do I obsess over him?" That was a fact to tuck away for later, since he didn't know one way or another.

"About what?" He wasn't sure if that was directed towards him or someone else in Sou's head.

"From what I've seen, maybe. Then again, you never thought of me so fondly either." He shrugged lazily.

"I don't really care about it anymore. It used to piss me off so much that you cared more about that guy than you did your own."

Ryuho furrowed his brow. He was fairly certain he didn't like whomever 'Kazuma' was, but Elian had said they were working together, and Sou made it sound like it was romantic, but he was not going to ask, because that would be simply too bizarre.

The naked confusion on his face was evident however.

"I see."

Sou's own brow raised at the expression on Ryuho's face before he snickered and broke out into laughter. "You thought...Oh my goodness!"

He started laughing so hard that he fell backward onto the ground. "Oh, that's precious!"

Not only was Ryuho lacking an alter currently, he was lacking a large portion of his coveted ability to deadpan properly, so his expression was rather like the one a dog might give after someone has given a fake through.

"You are a strange person."

"Hey, that wasn't my fault. You did that all on your own. You assumed I meant that the two of you...that's rich!" His smile and mirth was wiped away instantly. "No really, you two couldn't stand each other. The fact that even your flickering memories can recall his name still pisses me off."

"I didn't say anything." And he was actually relieved that it wasn't the case, so he wasn't going to make it a point of being laughed at.

"Your jealous at how much I apparently hated him?" That was strange.

It was true, he did hate him. He didn't remember why, or even him, but the hate was there every time the name came up.

"You didn't have to. I can see it. I wasn't jealous of your hatred toward him. I'm jealous that you remembered him first and said his name. To remember that hatred and attach a name to it, yes, as much as I want that, I'll never get it so what's the point? It's the impact I want." Sou doesn't seem to be as upset as he used to be. The thoughts of his death was triggered again that made him laugh darkly again.

"It's funny. They hated me, I had the attention of the media en mass and no one still remembers my name. Even in death...I'm forgotten." It almost was enough to make his eyes water again, yet he managed to choke that bitter pill down. "It's not worth it anymore."

"So, you want to be remember, even if it is hatefully?" He mulled that over, and maybe that made a bit of sense.

"Elian might remember you. I don't remember much of anything. It doesn't matter if the world is gone though."

"Elian remembers everything. He's, it, whatever, is a computer." He rolled his eyes with a sigh. "Destroyed or not, it just doesn't matter."

Ryuho shook his head. "You're thinking of something else. He's a child."

"If it doesn't matter, then working to help people here would be something constructive to do."

"Helping people?" Another dark laugh bursts from Sou. "Who would want my help? I've done enough damage as it stands."

"As you've pointed out. No one here knows about that, so why not start over?"

Sou's head looked up for a moment, then to the side as if he was listening to someone. He then rolled his eyes, looked straight ahead for a moment then back to Ryuho.

"I hate when you're right." He stood up and dusted himself off. "Fine, I'll call it a truce. This doesn't mean that I'm a boyscout. Got that?"

"I wouldn't think that." Just that line, and meant in an entirely serious way.

"So, the first thing would be to go back and read your letters."

He acted like he wasn't interested but in fact he was listening. "I got it."

He makes his way toward the door. "Anything else?"

"I can give you a tour later. You might want to change though."

He gave a soft scoff at the suggestion to change his clothes. He had forgotten about that god awful white body suit until it was pointed out.

"Right." He laughed softly. "Until later, then." He turned to leave. He didn't need an escort back down. He was more than capable of taking care of himself.

Ryuho watched him leave, then continued on his way himself.
