If he'd had any of his wits left, Allen would have noticed something powerful and not quite human coming his way. Unfortunately, he didn't, so when he heard footsteps and smelled some sort of living creature, he dashed to meet it. His tail lashed out behind him, scoring the walls with the blade on the end of it, and the glowing quills on his back stiffened, puffing up like an angry porcupine.
