Setting: Cafeteria as a start, then around the floors.
Format: Action
Summary: Lezard picked at random a few test subjects, it's to say the nine characters mentioned above. Only to see if his potion that transforms people into demons works in the tower. And it does work! Party time? You can meet them while they are under the potion's effect.
Warnings: Good people growing stronger, getting more resistant and going totally mad/feral. Or even worse, turning into full-fledged blood-thirsty demoniac creatures. Lots of pain before, during and after the transformation. Deadly random encounters if you happen to meet them. Heart-wrenching mercy kills. Aside from that? Nothing really.


OOC Information
Lezard will barely appear in this log, only to provide his potion to the victims. He will disappear immediately afterward and his involvement in this horror will remain secret. The nine characters are going to drink Ghoul Powder; a special potion used by Necromancers. It drives those who drink it crazy and turn them into either a Demon or an Undead. There are no known cure to Ghoul Powder, hence the only way for characters to be released from the potion's effect is for them to die. Because it's mostly a pre-plotted log, the threads where the characters are meant to die will be closed; but the threads where you can have a random encounter with the demon-ified / undead-ified characters will be open.

Characters under Ghoul Powder's effect are much stronger than usual, much more resistant and merciless for the most part. The threads where they transform, the players will chose whether to keep them open or closed.

There are two kinds of transformation that will happen in this log, the Demon Transformation and the Undead Transformation as mentioned before. Demon Transformation is the worse by far as the characters not only go mad but turns intoa true, complete demons as shown here. Undead Transformation has the same effect, but the characters can keep their normal form as shown here.

How it works: Basically, right after drinking it the characters will feel very uncomfortable and painful for both version of the potion. The pain will keep growing for a couple minutes inside of them, up to the point it is unbearable. They can also feel like something demonic/evil is growing inside of them and taking over, so to say. The pain remains but becomes barely noticeable once the potion takes full effects, since the characters go mad/feral/etc. They become a lot stronger and more resistant to attacks. And of course, they attack whoever they happen to see.

A few seconds before dying, they may regain their sanity and/or human appearance. Like, to say thank you to the one(s) who killed them.

[ No need to look around boy, you won't see a necromancer lurking around the cafeteria. Of course, Lezard has nothing against this poor boy quietly eating his meal, he just happens to need someone to test his potion. And the boy so happens to be the first person he has seen in the cafeteria today.

So whatever drink he has for his meal, gets replaced by Ghoul Powder whenever he looks away would it be only for a few seconds. From now on he will observe how events unfold from the shadows. It'll take a couple minutes for the potion to take effect and destroy his mind. On the other hand, the pain should be felt instantly after drinking it. ]

[ Much like Kidou, Mami is probably out of luck today and she won't see a necromancer either, even if she pays attention. Her godly friend may feel him though, even if only very faintly... Yet again, he has nothing against the poor woman, he just happens to need some more people to test his potion and she so happens to be the next person he has seen.

So whatever drink she has for her meal, it gets replaced by the wonderful Ghoul Powder whenever she looks away, even if only for a couple seconds. The beverage tastes like mere water, at first of course. But that's before the pain, and eventually the changes kick in. ]

[ This time, it's before the next victim can even go get his meal that Lezard strikes. The drink served with the meal is traded for this wonderful potion they call Ghoul Powder. Who gets the meal at the cafeteria is random, so that would really be bad luck that Ryuunosuke happens to get that one, right? Yet again that's part of what is so fun about living in this tower. All the uncertainty.

Not to mention, the results will help Lezard's research so that can't be that bad. This version of the Ghoul Powder should taste like Apple Juice at first- Good luck with that one. Hopefully he didn't get the bad version of Ghoul Powder that turns people into complete demon. If he did the transformation should happen within a couple minutes at worse. ]

[ Reno's favorite bottle of booze- Be it one he made or he found at the cafeteria, got traded for a dose of Ghoul Powder, the worse kind of Ghoul Powder, the one that makes people into full-fledged demons. Sorry Reno. At first of course, it shall taste like the booze he expected, Lezard is very good at covering his potion with fake tastes. And then the pain will kick in.

No matter what, there is nothing that can be done to stop it. Only a few minutes after the pain begins, the transformation will happen. Of course he could attempt to kill himself to prevent whatever's about to happen, but the pain is paralyzing enough to prevent this kind of extreme tentative. ]

[ Well now that's different. Who knows if it'll work on that one? He doesn't look quite human, to say the least. If Lezard had to guess, he'd say he's probably already a demon, by the look of it? You can be thankful, that's what the undead version of the potion is here for. No matter what manner of being he is, that shouldn't be much of a problem.

And lo, Momotaros' drink shall be, purposefully, replaced by Ghoul Powder before he gets in the cafeteria to take his meal. Worry not; it tastes exactly the same than what Momotaros usually drinks. The difference will kick in when he'll feel an unbearable pain shortly after drinking the potion. On the bright side, the pain becomes barely noticeable once the mind 'deteriorates' and the 'madness' takes over. ]

[ This one felt kind of different of the others. Lezard couldn't exactly say why- He'd have to study the man to find out what it is. So hopefully the potion will do the trick and provide him with the information he seeks. So the drink in his plate of food? Been replaced with the lovely potion. In spite of what one could think, it tastes very good!

Until he feels an unbearable pain that is. Considering what he got inside of him, the potion may have some regrettable unintended side effects. But fortunately, this is only the Undead Version. So that can't be that bad right? ]

[ That's probably Kairi's unlucky day. Alas, not that the necromancer got anything against her either, but the poor girl will have her drink replaced with the worse and most dangerous kind of Ghoul Powder available- The one that makes people into complete and utter demon, as much on the inside than on the outside.

He's felt she has some kind of special power as well, so he'll observe this closely. The worse part in these transformations is really the pain people feel before the transformation happens. At least once it's done, they're considered to be mad and devoid of their previous self, so the pain matters less. Supposedly, of course. ]

Elena [OU] || Final Fantasy VII || Demon Transformation

[ Much like Reno, Ryuunosuke and Kairi, and everyone else so far, Elena is getting whatever it is she drinks replace by Ghoul powder. What she has in common with these three though, is the brand of Ghoul Powder she's getting. The worse brand, the one that makes people into demon. On the inside of course, and on the outside too.

Though, lezard notices she looks similar, at least her clothes, to a previous victim Reno. So he'll observe from the shadow of the cafeteria as she gets her ghoul powder and drink it. Nothing against her really, that's strictly business, and at least Reno won't feel lonely. ]

[ It's a very nice thing that Doc repaired the coffee maker. In these hard times, people could use coffee, especially following the whale crash. Unfortunately, it's less good when a certain necromancer replaced the content of the coffee maker with Ghoul Powder. Only the Undead Version, but that's bad enough as it is.

Allen certainly doesn't feel exactly human, yet at the same time he does. Lezard got his little idea on the matter, but if the Ghoul Powder can affect him, it's all good isn't it? So don't expect to see or even sense a Necromancer around, but Lezard will be watching this all with attention. The effects should start after only a few minutes. ]
