[At first, Sakuma's not sure what's happening but suddenly he's able to breathe again. Not breathe fully but small gasping breaths that are shallow and frantic because he doesn't dare to waste the chance. As the oxygen returns to his brain, so does his ability to think.
It's then that he realizes that the reason he's able to breathe again is because Kidou's somehow able to fight past whatever's controlling him. He allows himself to let out a choked sob of relief. For a moment, he allows himself to believe that everything's going to be okay. As long as this is over, as long as he has Kidou back...
But then something is pressed into his hand and a quick glance down tells him that it's a knife and it doesn't take much for him to realize what Kidou intends. Even as he shakes his head 'no', Kidou's hand is returning to its previous place around his neck. He lets the knife sit in his palm but he doesn't dare close his fingers around it. He stares up at Kidou and his crazed expression and the tears that have somehow gotten past his mad state and he feels a heavy pain in his chest as his own tears fall.
He can't kill Kidou but... while he still doesn't care what happens to himself, seeing Kidou's struggle is more than he can bear. No matter what he did, his friend would still be hurting. Maybe it is better to end it now.
His vision starts blurring again from the lack of air and Kidou's face swims before him. Sakuma closes his eye and at the same time finally closes his fingers around the knife's handle. Quickly, before he grew too weak, Sakuma brings the knife up and thrusts it into Kidou's side.]
