Let's Rock
Characters: Dante and YOU.
Setting: Dorm Halls (just outside room 2-20,) Cafeteria
Format: Starts prose, can roll with anything.
Summary: Dante wakes up.FINALLY. He's unhappy.
Warnings: None yet, but ... Dante. It could happen. Will update if it does. (Note: "It" could be anything from hitting on any passing by ladies to violently beheadinghis brother any smartass demons.)
* Dorm Halls
The door to Room 2-20 came flying open so hard it collided with the wall it was attached to, making a terrible echoing racket down the halls.
Dante, Son of Sparda, the "Legendary Dark Knight," slayer of Mundus, hero of millions, source of jealousy to men everywhere, and Devil Hunter was kind of pissed.
He was dressed now, with his weapons holstered. Or at least, Rebellion was in two halves on his back. He'd have to take care of that. But first, he needed to figure out where the hell "here" was.
And of all things...
Why did he have to get stuck in a freaking Tower?
====
* Cafeteria
As he exited the elevator, Dante... gave a prompt and loud whistle, to make sure he had people's attention. So that he could be the center of it. Then, as he swaggered walked in he held up his hand as he counted things off.
"Okay, here's what I'm gonna need!" he proclaimed, and held up the first finger. "ONE - a pizza with everything on it... to be ready when I'm done with this oatmeal or whatever."
Second finger. "TWO - A bottle of Jack."
Third finger. "And THREE - ...who do I have to kill to get out of this hellhole?"
He held up his other hand. "NOTE - Not necessarily in that order."

Cafeteria
She skips up to Dante, hands held together behind her back.
"When you say 'everything on it', what is 'everything', exactly?"
no subject
"Y'know, the usual. Meats. Sausage, bacon, anchovies, pepperoni, hamburger. Vegetables, like... onions, peppers-"
He paused a moment as he got to that part of it.
"Hold the olives. But y'know, the works."
no subject
"Hmm...yeah, I can do that. What about mushrooms? Artichokes? You want the crust dipped in chocolate?"
no subject
Pause.
Dante raised an eyebrow, and glanced at her.
"Come again?"

Library
If Dante chose to follow the music to his source, what he'd find is a table in one of the corners of the room, with a couch, two armchairs, and... well... this strange, celestial device. And a man with white hair, red eyes, a very futuristic-looking business suit, staring into said device as if in a trance.
[ OOC: Would you mind tagging this permissions post, as well? Particular in regards to the Compass? Wilhelm might be amused as to what Dante's namesake is, considering Wilhelm is a literature/poetry buff. ]
Re: Library
Neither was what he found at the end of the music, which in and of itself was odd for a library.
Still, the device was curious. So for a moment, Dante just stood there, arms crossed, and seeing if this guy even noticed him.
I just realized how awful my post was. Note to self, never tag at that time of night again.
"A maggior forza e a miglior natura
liberi soggiacete; e quella cria
la mente in voi, che 'l ciel no ha in sua cura.
Però, se 'l mondo presente disvia,
in voi è la cagione, in voi si cheggia."
Italian. Wilhelm doubted that Dante - at least, this Dante - could speak Italian, let alone old Italian, but it was worth a try. Was it a simple coincidence that Wilhelm just read Canto XVI, lines 79-83 of Purgatorio? Or was this some odd way of testing him?
Either way, someone like Wilhelm thought it was just a little too cliche to read Inferno to him. He likely got that all the time.

"Y'don't say."
He observed the book for a second, and then tilted his head up a bit.
"The whole cryptic act ain't as cute as some folks think it is, y'know."

"Somebody's pissed," remarked Yusuke. "Why can't more guys be like that than cry?"
no subject
"Guess you could say I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Wherever the hell I am, I think that's about any side."

He snorted and swung around to face Yusuke in full, crossing his arms.
"Don't suppose you'd know where I can thank our gracious hosts, or would that just be too easy?"

Dorm Halls
Could you keep it down, please?
Re: Dorm Halls
It hadn't ended well.
Dante just sort of continued along his way, striding by the door.]
Might be in a better disposition if I knew where I just got dumped.

[She's trying to be helpful.]

Yeah, tower. Got that.
[Freaking towers, man.
He pauses another second, cocks his head back and forth before considering his next question, but. Well.
One had to be sure, and if anyone knew, maybe it was some random angel.]
This tower doesn't open a gateway to hell that y'know of, right?
[Hey! Better safe than sorry.]

Dorm halls, sorry if I'm late, and sorry for the bad hook. I blanked big time on this one >_<
He opened his mouth to say something as Dante stormed towards him, thinking he could offer comfort, but that instinct was quickly quelled by common sense - he clearly didn't seem like he wanted to talk, but he'd already made that first gesture, not to mention stared quite a bit. It was entirely up to Dante to follow up on that.
[It's cool!]
Dante gave Enoch a two-fingered wave as he began to pass by, though he kept on looking at the man and was eventually walking backwards. He held up his hands, grinning.
"What? I got something on my face, man?"

"Ah...no. You just arrived, didn't you? I'm sorry if I stared, I wasn't certain what to say." This last was accented by a glance at the door to room 2-20 - to say in response to that reaction. "I'm used to offering what comfort I can to the newcomers I meet, but..." He lightly shook his head to make up for the awkward stop, giving Dante an apologetic smile.

late I'm sorry! Room 2-20/corridors
The banging of the door woke him up in a second and he sat up in fear. A moment later Gohran; in the form of a large red wolf was by his side growling at the potential threat.
no subject
Oh. Of course.
That was just typical.
"Huh. They let pets in here? Do you have to put down a deposit, or anything?"

...When...
...He spots a familiar face. Nero smiles for a minute before going back to his regular expression.]
...Even you're here?
no subject
Kid! The hell're you doin' here?
[Not that he knew why HE was there, of course.]
no subject
I could ask you the same. I know about as much as you do, I guess.
