☙ROOM 02-05❧
[ It's a lot to take in and at first, Yukiko Amagi is absolutely horrified. While it had always been a desire of her's to leave that town, to find out that the entire world was destroyed could be shattering to anyone's normally unyielding resolve. Not only that, but she's stuck wearing this horrendous suit and what's up with this collar? Yellow liquid? Not that she has any problem with the color yellow, but it's still a lot to take in. For the rest of the morning she can be found doing a variety of newbie-related tasks: reading the letters, sobbing quietly into her pillow, changing into more familiar attire, and shoving the white body suit she woke up in a far corner of her chest only to cover it up with whatever she can find. ]
☙Dormitories❧
[ Yukiko's under the belief that she couldn't have been the only person from her world to arrive here. Wouldn't they pick out a human boy just in case of things-that-should-not-be-said-out-loud first of all? With renewed vigor, Yukiko will be snooping around in the other rooms. Don't worry, she's at least pleasant about it; giving out apologies when they are needed, she does what she can to not give the impression of a thief. When she runs into someone though, she's quick to speak up. ]
S-Sorry there, I was just looking for people I might know. [ Quickly adding on: ] I'm Yukiko Amagi, by the way!
[ Or maybe she's discovered at one of the many terminals on this level. She'll look away from the screen long enough to give a polite nod of her head. The language on the computer screen? Japanese. It seems she just got done recording herself though. ]

Though the lack of her flailing at something like this was a sign that something was bothering her. It automatically took precedence.
Ah. The letters. He shakes his head slightly, turning further to face her completely.]
...It's alright. I was the same when I first showed up and ran into Yosuke. [It's almost funny, thinking back that far...] We don't really have any evidence to point out that it's true.
[There's something unspoken there, but he'll address it later. The fact that she's here and not... gone...
... He's going to eventually dislike this place more than humanly possible, he swears to the god in his head.]

So there's a chance that everything is normal back home. [ Leaning against the frame of the door to steady her beating heart, she begins to calm down. ] Everyone else is here too, yeah? We should meet up somewhere and get our thoughts sorted. I [ Um. ] wouldn't want to trouble anyone with my sudden appearance.
no subject
Though the mention of everyone else...]
...Of our team, Chie-san and Rise-chan are missing, Konishi-senpai arrived around a month ago. You just missed Dojima-san and Adachi... [There is a grimace at the last one.] And don't worry.I think the others will be glad to know you're alright.
['Though, I wouldn't wish this place on anyone...' Despite the thought, he smiles.] You could try getting a hold of them through the terminals, by the way. oh!
[Shoot, he almost forgot.] Hey, what date was it for you back home?
no subject
T-This is your room! [ She could just die over this. ] S-Sorry!
[ Has she apologized enough because it doesn't feel like she has. Her gaze leaves him to focus instead at her feet and the floor underneath them. ]
I'll try that then. Thank you.

[Yukiko, you don't know just how much he's missed your derp moments and mental flailing. You really, truly don't. His smile remains, even if it's just a mask right now as he he steps a little closer, now fully dressed. And by "a little" we mean "close enough to place a hand on her shoulder".]
I'm just glad to see you're alright, even though I'd rather it be anywhere than this tower. ['I'm sorry.']

[ 'Rotting away on a destroyed planet?' ]
I know that I wanted to get away for so long, but I was... umm, I was starting to acknowledge that I wanted to stay there.
no subject
Because he had been home, had walked along those train tracks of the destroyed world back to the only true home he had-]
Yeah. I know.
[No. He would have to be honest and frank about it, even though the others had been here for even longer than himself. He sighs.]
This tower's run by four of five administrators. Two of which... do not know the meaning of the word "humane."
['I don't want to see any of you get hurt... or be part of why you are hurt by them again.']
no subject
Four of five? What happened to the fifth one? [ Did the other two have something to do with that, she's left to wonder. ] Umm, sorry, I can just find all of this out from someone else.
[ Because there are things more important to her. While their relationship never really developed much back home, all she's been able to think about since reading that letter was that she lost him. Losing Chie, her family, all of that hurt. But that selfish part of her, the part she tries to not let show often, was devastated with his death. ]
Have they done anything to you? [ Realizing how forward that is, she rubs the back of her neck as a nervous gesture. ] You just sound so certain with your evaluation of them.
no subject
The fifth's a sixteen month old.
[Obviously too young to take a turn with 'babysitting duty' as he's heard it called before. So no, nothing happened to him. Though that question... It brings him back to the horrors he's experienced here, watching the others suffer and suffering along with them. Knowing he lost his friends... his family.]
Not just me. ['Yes.'] Everyone else who've been here for a few months, too.
no subject
We have our Persona here though. [ It doesn't seem like anything can harm them when they're like this. They're strong together, so she'll linger in even closer towards his form to draw off the strength he radiates. ] I'd... I'd like to be able to protect you if I could, but...
[ But could she? It's a bold statement to make out of nowhere and even she realizes that as her cheeks flush. Waving a hand, she's quick to try to repair the 'damage'. ]
I'm new here, so I don't know what everyone else does. With a bit of time, I hope to be less of an inconvenience and more like someone you can rely on.
1/2
Hast thou forgotten? ...Do not hesitate. She hast the right to know what thou ist up against.
...He'll tell her, but first he should address what she's said. No doubt she's hurting because of losing her family, everyone at the inn, and Chie. And wanting to protect them even without knowing everything the others do...]
no subject
[...He slowly closes the distance, wrapping his arms around her. Yes, it was likely out of nowhere. No, he has no idea what all she remembers from home- but it felt right
shut up Izanagi stop applauding in his head.]We've always relied on you. [Their voice of wisdom, of inner strength... She has no idea just how much they relied on one another, herself included.] You'll never be an inconvenience... We'll protect each other, like we have since we first started the investigation team.
no subject
That's... that's right. [ Steadily her courage begins to burn due to the spark of heat between them. ] I just want to really protect you. If I couldn't help those we've left behind, maybe I can make up for it by helping those who are here.
no subject
That's all we can do right now, but don't lose hope.
[He smiles faintly, so faint that it barely even exists. Yet it's still there as he pulls away slightly to look her in the eye. Yu had to make this perfectly clear.]
Others have come and gone from Inaba and other places of our world. All of them were safe and sound.
no subject
[ Or better yet, the alternative. Her eyes widen as it dawns on her soon enough. ]
We could return home, right?
no subject
Not willingly. [Would he even be here now if that were possible? Short answer: hell no. He'd drag everyone back home and that would be the end of it.]
