02 - Everyone Has A Purpose
Characters: Kanaya and everyone!
Setting: Room 2-07
Format: I'll follow you
Summary: Kanaya offers to make clothes for people
Warnings: None except perhaps pin pricking for particularly squirmy people.
[When Kanaya's chest was restored she didn't find the sets of clothing she had originally arrived with. Instead she found several bolts of fabric in various colors and sewing supplies. Rather than despairing she turns it into an opportunity to be useful. She had been feeling lost without a purpose in the tower. She makes a makeshift sign that reads in neatly lettered green: "Clothes Made For Those Who Need Them". Underneath this is a lengthy green smudge as if she had elaborated on the statement then realized that an overly long sign would defeat the purpose of advertising to passersby. After hanging the sign, she sits down on her bed to wait.]

My apologies! Are you in need of my services?
no subject
N-not exactly. I was just looking at the sign.
no subject
[She's not entirely certain how to reply to that. It's not a particularly interesting sign and she wishes it looked a little neater. How strange. Are all humans like this? It was hard to judge based on her limited and recent exposure to them.]
Well, if you decide you would like to come in I will leave the door open for you.

[Rosa has fallen silent now that she notices the girl's appearance.]
You...are not human, are you?
[What was she? Some new form of "furniture"? That was what the Witch had called her hellspawn servants.]
no subject
No, I am not. I'm from Alternia, or at least what was Alternia. I'm what humans call a Troll. A jadeblood, to be exact. Not that it particularly matter as I understand that humans do not have the segregated hemospectrum. You are human, aren't you? I'm afraid I haven't met many yet so I do not wish to presume wrongly.
[She cuts herself off, mentally chiding herself for rambling. It's a nervous habit, okay?]
no subject
[The closest thing she has to a weapon is a fountain pen, but Rosa is not going to go down without a fight.]
If you think I'm just going to stand around...
no subject
What is the meaning of this attack?? I can assure you that I am most certainly not a human barkbeast. I am not even from your planet or your universe. I wish you no ill will of any kind!
[Had she seen more human movies she might be tempted to say "I come in peace" but as she hasn't, she isn't even aware of the phrase or its cultural significance.]
no subject
[No, they were so different from humans that on some level, they might have believed their own words.]
...While all you do is kill and torture!
[The pen is held between her index and middle fingers while her hand is balled into a fist. It sticks out like a spiked knuckle. She makes another swing at the girl.]
no subject
I promise I have no wish to kill or torture anyone. As the sign in which you were so interested says, I'm only interested in making clothing at the moment.
no subject
Oh? How come I see no customers?

I see...please forgive me. I have...had a few bad experiences before.
[She's still ready to attack at the drop of a hat, but she'll play along for now.]
no subject
[She relaxes somewhat but still keeps her guard up. Were all humans this jumpy?]
Would you perhaps like to come in for some tea?
[Maybe extending the human-peace branch would help her calm down.]
no subject
And risk being force-fed human body parts again? No thank you.

[Kanaya doesn't understand the concept of sarcasm, whoops.]

[She sighs.]
Everything about that Witch was twisted. I should have kept her away from Maria...
