You Hide Your Sorrow Behind Smiles
Characters: Ishtar, Shadow Ishtar, and OPEN
Setting: Art Gallery Floor, September 8
Format: Prose or Action. I'll match
Summary: Ishtar is having a couple of problems accepting her Shadow, and it's going to be a little bit of fighting.
Warnings: violence, language, sadistic shadow, will add as more comes

Ishtar was standing in corner of the Art Gallery, her hands balled up into fists, as she bit her lips. She didn't want to deal with this anymore. She didn't want to hear any of this anymore.
"Cut it out, you almost killed someone," she mused, her tone was tired and exhausted. She was losing this mental battle pretty easily.

"He was asking for it, agreeing so easily to play by my rules. I only tested him, just like you always tested...Darres' loyalty to us" the Shadow replied, her glowing eyes fixed on the painting that resembled something like Pheliosta. She touched it, "We miss it, but we no longer have a place in it, right... Ish?" she chuckled, her hands slowly sliding down the painting, nails digging into it.

Ishtar bit her lip. The Shadow was right. Everything she said was right. She didn't have a place anymore, and she didn't know how to make of it even if she did get to go home and their world wasn't destroyed. She was still worried about What Duzell would have made of her.

"Yes, Duzell. He seemed really angry at me, because he didn't believe we were one in the same. Tell me, Ish will he accept us, knowing that we have such a disoriented story in the past three years? You've even considered killing others for the sake of the ones you loved. You even got your hands dirtied here, even though it went against everything we've believed in. It was time for a change right? So, are you still the gentle and kind princess that everyone loves and adores, or have you become someone who will be hated?"
The Shadow waltzed over to Ishtar who was cornering herself and backing as far away she could from him, but it didn't seem like it would matter now, since the Shadow was so close to her, dangling her cold arms around the princess, putting their faces inches apart.

"Back off," Ishtar almost hissed, putting her hands up and pushing the Shadow off, "I don't want to talk about this right now...I---"

"want to be alone?" The Shadow finished, "but we hate being alone...We were scared when we we lost, Zero...because what if the Consortium took Yujinn next?" she mused in a sing song voice, "Gaara and Yusuke are here, what if they disappear too, we'll be alone...we don't want to be alone?" the Shadow cooed, still keeping her iron grip on Ishtar.

"Stop it, I don't want to hear anymore of it!" she shouted finally shoving the Shadow away. There was a twisted look to the Shadow as she stood back up.

"Princess Ishtar, we are one in the same, but will you be like the others, and reject my existence? You know very well that these are your thoughts, your pain...that you've pushed away. How could you forget them, hmm?"

"Don't call me princess here, dammit!"
