[ When morning comes, there has been a new addition to the room. In fact, the large wheelchair stored next to one of the beds might be more noticeable than the frail girl laying within the sheets. While she is dressed in the white vestments forced on everyone else upon arrival, there's color splashed along her hands. Stirring awake, with widened eyes, she notices the blood covering her hands right away. Shrieking, she holds them out as far away from her body as possible as her thoughts quickly dawn on her. Just moments ago (or so it felt like) she was holding the bleeding corpse of her older brother while the rest of the country joyously chanted for their freedom around the pair. Within moments she's struggling to drag her legs around as she wearily digs through everything around her. The white clothing was frightening and only made her lithe form look sickly, although the color draining from her face may add to that belief.

Upon discovering the letter, she'll shake her head as she mutters how untrue it is for a minute or two before it all sinks in. Judging from the world she "left behind", one where F.L.E.I.J.A. was becoming a common enough weapon in battle, the idea doesn't surprise her. Just what all had happened since the death of Lelouch vi Britannia? Just where did she fail to help out? Placing the first letter down gently, she'll catch up on her reading with the second one. ]

A network? [ It makes sense to her really as she looks towards her wheelchair nearby. If she can get to a terminal, then she can issue a formal apology to any other survivors of the incident and possibly get the answers she needs. ]

☙Dormitories❧
[ In an attempt to familiarize herself (and perhaps find someone), Nunnally will be moving between the floors via the elevator while in her electric wheelchair. She does have a bit of trouble adjusting to areas that are brighter than the rest of the tower, shielding her eyes with an arm. She's still dressed in the white suit though, but at least her hands are bare of the blood they bore when she first woke up. Having found herself uncomfortable with the 'skin tight' part, she's settled for having a blanket draped over her legs, just a couple inches away from the floor. Despite everything though, she'll put on a tiny smile the moment she encounters another being. ]

Hello there. [ Waving a hand as a greeting. ] Do you take residence on this floor or are you visiting a friend?

A pleasure to meat you, Nunnally. My name is Ruler. [She offers the girl a smile.] And I assure you, you will not be a bother. It is a wise plan to stay informed in a place such as this, and I will be happy to assist you.

[ Um. ] I'm not too sure... didn't they tell you about me? I should have a nurse here, but...

No, I'm afraid we weren't told... new arrivals seem to show up without much of a warning.

[She frowns, eying the nearby wheelchair.] I... do not know if nurses are assigned to those that need extended help. I have not heard of such a thing being provided... I'm sorry.

That is... [ Her voice trails off as she doesn't want to bother the woman. ]

I've been without one before, so there's no need to bother yourself on my behalf. If you don't mind answering questions, I do have a few. Is there an elevator on this floor and is there a curfew for this room? I don't want to disturb anyone if they've gone to bed.

There is no elevator on this floor, no, but there is one on the floor below us. I've never been inside of that contraption, so I'm not sure which floors it reaches... but I do know for sure that it goes all the way down to the bottom of the tower. [She smiles.] And it won't be a bother to help you. If you need assistance, I will be more than happy to provide it.

Ah, and as for a curfew... no, we have not set one up. You may come and go as you please here, so long as you are not extremely loud in the later hours of the night.

What a relief. I was worried I'd have trouble navigating the tower. [ And that she would be a nuisance who wouldn't be able to fetch her own food. ] Is there a bathroom nearby too..?

[ Because it doesn't look like there's one in this room. How embarrassing. ]

Yes, there is! There are fully functioning restroom facilities on this floor. They can be quite busy depending on the time, though, as all the residents must share them.

S-Share them?

[ She's no stranger to having someone with her when she bathes, but 'all residents'? ]

With boys too?

Hm? [Oh that sounded awkward didn't it.] Ah! No, no... the facilities are divided into male and female ones. But there are still many women just on this floor alone, so it can be somewhat of a hassle. I find it easy if you go during the early afternoon hours, if you don't wish to wait for long.

I'm not sure if it would be wise for me to go during the day. [ Due to her conditions and all. She's afraid people might stare or feel troubled in helping her. ] Maybe at night. No one goes there late night, do they?

No, not that I'm aware of. But... you might need some company if you decide to go at such an hour. [She frowns. It feels... horrible, having to tell a young girl certain things, but it wouldn't do to keep her uninformed and risk putting her in danger.]

There are monsters roaming the halls at night. Even here in the dormitories.

Monsters... [ There's no fear in her voice as she repeats the word. ]

Are they really monsters? If everyone who comes here arrived from a planet that's been destroyed, then it's not right of us to call them monsters because they're different from us. Even if they hurt or attack others... it must be because they're frightened. Anyone would fight if they were scared, right?

[... Even Jeanne, a true Saint, is a bit surprised at that. She never looked at it that way before...]

Those of us brought here from other worlds all have these- [She reaches up to tap a finger against the metal collar around her neck.] -forced onto us upon our arrival. I have never seen such a thing on any of the creatures that roam the tower's floors.

But... you may be right. I admit, I do not know much about the creatures, so I'm not sure if they were taken alongside us or not. You might have better luck asking someone else who has been in the tower a bit longer about them.

[ Congratulations on finding someone who's softer than yourself, Jeanne. ]

These collars? [ Nunnally had felt it around her neck, finding it more uncomfortable than the usual butterfly choker she wore. ] Maybe they've been unable to get them to hold still long enough to put them on them.

Speaking of, what are the purposes of these collars? I've never worn one like this, so I'm not sure if it's important. Should I get it removed?

That... I don't think anyone in this tower knows. Our captors seem keen on keeping us in the dark. And as far as I know, it is impossible to remove the collars, so asking to have it removed will be futile.

[She smiles.] But rest assured, nothing dangerous has happened due to wearing these. [As far as she knows...] It's... uncomfortable, yes, but I haven't had any bad experiences with mine at all, and I've been here for over two months now.

So these collars are meant to protect more than harm us, right?

[ It's a relief as she trails her fingers along it, giving a frown. ] This feels so...

[ The feeling is indescribable and leaves her at a loss of words, her mouth agape as she struggles to think of how to say it. ]

... That is certainly a valid theory. Though that begs the question of protecting us from what. [Hmmm...

... Ah, she looks upset again. Poor girl.] "Strange" isn't quite the word that can be used to describe this situation, but it is fitting enough.

I wouldn't know. When I ask others of their opinions, I'll be sure to ask them if they have any thoughts related to that.

[ Her life was going to be hectic from this point forward, this much she's sure of. ]
