002 - Backdated to Day One

Summary: Heartcatch Precure X Code Geass! Tsubomi finds herself in a WONDERFUL situation
Warnings: Panic. Panic. And more panic. And maybe a heavy dose of Captain Obvious.

[Tsubomi had pretty much handled things here the way she has been for awhile - keep looking for a way out, keep out of trouble and make sure she doesn't run into the Dark Precure. So far, so good. When she fell asleep, things were okay - everything by her side, her partner Chypre with her. Safe and sound.

Waking up the next morning, things seem... different. The light was probably just a BIT too bright for her. Squinting her eyes, she stifled a yawn as she spoke.]

...Chypre? Turn down the lights.

[Nothing.]

Chypre? Can you wake up and... [As she goes to sit up and move around, she realizes something is wrong. TERRIBLY wrong. Everything below her waist had no feeling. And thus, she can only do one thing: panic.]

...I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS! SOMEONE, HELP!

[Granted, this might be a little out there for someone who knows Nunnally, but, well... this technically ISN'T Nunnally.]

[The woman looking down at her is smiling brightly. Maybe a little too brightly.]

Y-Yes, something's wrong! I can't feel my legs! They weren't like this when I went to bed!

[Of course, Tsubomi/Nunnally hasn't realized that she's in someone else's body just yet.]

[She was using a wheelchair when she had first arrived, but had the paralysis somehow spread?]

Hold still.

[She places a hand on the girl's leg and starts to draw a rune before she pauses. Right, this body didn't have that ability.]

Are they just numb, or can you not move them at all?

I can't move them at all! I was perfectly fine yesterday! I don't know what happened!

[She's yet to figure out what's going on.]

Shit. You want me to take you to the infirmary or something?

No! N-Not yet! I-I mean... I don't want Yuri to know!

[...okay, things aren't adding up. Why is she talking about a "Yuri"? Nunnally wouldn't know about a Yuri, right?]

I'm pretty fast. Sure I can get you to the infirmary and back here without this Yuri person knowing.

[ It's only natural that Nunnally would find her way back to her room to see just who it was that might have been stuck with her body. So don't worry, there's someone stumbling right into the bed beside her! ]

Ah! Please don't be upset!

Don't be upset? I-I can't walk, I...

[And now she sees it. Her body. What's going on? It's just now that she starts look at herself and realizing that she's not herself.]

What's going on?

I... I don't know, but I know that you should keep calm. [ Reaching out, she'll try to take her hands into her own. ] Please don't be sad.

My name is Nunnally vi Britannia and you're in my, um, body.

[And Tsubomi does start to calm down as Nunnally takes her hands. Despite all of this, she really was taking it in stride.]

...I-I'm Tsubomi. Tsubomi Hanasaki. I guess... you're in mine.

It's fortunate I was able to find you, right?

[ Squeezing her hands a bit as a calming technique. It was meant to reassure her that she wasn't alone in feeling frightened; even Nunnally herself was scared to be in a body like this. ]

There's no need for you to be alone during all of this, so I'll do what I can to help. [ Even if it's not much. ] Are you uncomfortable as of this moment?
