So that last week had been hell, and they really should have seen it coming, but it's as they all say...

It was just another Tuesday in Tower What The Helsinki is Going On Here.

Unlike the private party, there are definitely plenty of decorations courtesy of the Amagi Inn heiress, and plenty of food thanks to those who offered to hunt for the event and the ones who could prepare what was caught and gathered. Really, everything's set. Even some alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were clearly labeled (so please, don't spike the normal punch. There are kids here!).

So why was this all set up? Why, because they had succeeded in pissing in Jason's cornflakes and got him maaaaad figuring out the cure for the madness of the previous week with the clues that had been given. But wait, was there a birthday or two this month that had otherwise gone unnoticed? Well, why not celebrate them while celebrating their hard-earned victory? There's cards on a table for people to write down the lucky people who survived another year of this craziness, just waiting for well wishes (or not so, depending on if you like them or not).

[Yes, and it's very frustrating that someone knows her name without her telling them first >(!! Bluh bluh...

Ah, but that question does distract her from any possible outbursts....]

You mean the one in black armor? I have seen him, yes, but only once. I approached him and his Master when they first arrived.

[She is very aware of just how Saber is watching her, but she doesn't worry at all. No reason to worry if there's nothing to worry about, right?]

There were no hostilities from him, his Master, or myself. I simply wished to exchange greetings, and we did just that.

That is good to know. And your thoughts on them?

[Did Ruler notice the similarities between Saber and them? Saber wanted to know.]

I am not sure what to think of them, to be quite honest. I will need to approach them again to reach any sort of conclusion, but I need to be careful when doing so. I do not wish to be seen as an enemy.

... You have some sort of connection to them, don't you? The aura about you is near-identical to theirs.

I will not pry if you do not wish me to, so I will not question the familiarity about you. But if you are not connected to them at all, why as me about my feelings towards them?

Curiosity. I wanted to know your thoughts because of those similarities. Whereas we are from different realities, mine and theirs have one thing in common. And that is what produced the aura you sense.

It is... something I do not know about, for sure, so I cannot say I have many feelings on it, outside of curiosity. I cannot tell if it is a common or uncommon occurrence for Servants - and their Masters - to have such an aura.

But... the ones who keep us here brought all of us from vastly different worlds, correct? Perhaps some worlds are more similar than we thought.

It seems some worlds are shadows or... reflections of others. Such as mine and Rin's.

"Reflections" is a good word, I think. I've never heard of such an occurrence... but I don't see how it couldn't be possible, with the similarities and differences of our worlds compared to others.

How familiar are you with the concept of True Magic? Not magecraft, but actual magic. The usage of the one explains the parallel realities that are similar yet different.

I... have never heard of such a concept, to be quite honest. My Master... does not inform me of the workings of magi and their abilities. [All the information and memories she's been given are just pertaining to the Holy Grail War. And even then, there are some gaps...]

I am not surprised that magi have discovered and theorized on such a subject, though. And it most certainly sounds exactly like what is going on here.

Magic is not the way of a king, so my personal knowledge is not very thorough. I have, however, paid attention to the Rin from my reality speak of it before to my former master.

I do believe I paid more attention than he did. [Yes, that was a shade of disgust in her voice there.]

[Oh yeah, she can definitely pick up on that disgust.] ... It sounds like you had a frustrating Master. I'm sorry to hear that.

He was idealistic yet incompetent and unable to provide me prana. His dedication was admirable, but his manner infuriated me.

He decided to place himself between Berserker and I because he saw me as a woman to protect and not his sword.

[Jeanne manages to scowl at that. She tries not to be too judgmental of people, but that.... that was kind of a sore spot for her. In her first life she might have had similar views, that it was not a woman's place to fight in the army, but she still felt insulted whenever she was left out of meetings or a fellow soldier would call her out on that. She also realizes that times have changed, that there were many women - Heroic Spirit and normal human - that took part in battle, and she can accept that.

And of course, there was the matter of how obvious it was that this was a great insult to Saber's pride. That's just not cool at all.]

If he wished to fight beside you, that would be an entirely different matter. There would be a certain admirable quality about a desire like that. But attempting to fight against a Berserker in your place...? Did he not know that the Servants battling is the entire point of the Grail War's setup?

He ignored it. His foolishness almost cost me the War in that encounter.

[She crossed her arms and shifted her weight to the other side of her chair, propping her chin up. Yes, she is pouting. A little.]

[Pouting is never a good thing. She knows how much it sucks having bad memories brought up again - oh boy, don't even get her started on the dream shenanigans when she first arrived - so she doesn't prod anymore.]

Something light, perhaps. I believe we've had enough serious discussion for one night. [Hmm...]

Have your adventures in the tower wielded anything positive? We've only spoken a few times, so I'm a bit curious to see how you've been settling in.

Nothing positive. I have learned more of the beasts that roam the nights. One type, very large - like the Berserker from my War - is completely immune to magic. I do not know if a Noble Phantasm will kill them or not, but the blade alone is effective.

Some of these floors make little sense.
