009 | ❝We are the champions...!❞

Characters: Anyone and everyone!
Setting: Floor Four, September 25th.
Format: Go wild with whatever!
Summary: EVERYBOOOOOOOOOOOOODY, YEAH, ROCK YOUR REAL BODIES OUT~
Warnings: Do we need warnings for partying? ...Naaaaaaaaaaaah.

So that last week had been hell, and they really should have seen it coming, but it's as they all say...

It was just another Tuesday in Tower What The Helsinki is Going On Here.

Unlike the private party, there are definitely plenty of decorations courtesy of the Amagi Inn heiress, and plenty of food thanks to those who offered to hunt for the event and the ones who could prepare what was caught and gathered. Really, everything's set. Even some alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were clearly labeled (so please, don't spike the normal punch. There are kids here!).

So why was this all set up? Why, because they had succeeded in pissing in Jason's cornflakes and got him maaaaad figuring out the cure for the madness of the previous week with the clues that had been given. But wait, was there a birthday or two this month that had otherwise gone unnoticed? Well, why not celebrate them while celebrating their hard-earned victory? There's cards on a table for people to write down the lucky people who survived another year of this craziness, just waiting for well wishes (or not so, depending on if you like them or not).

Enjoy the night!

Feel free to tag into this however you please, whether it's something already on here, or you want to do something else. It's your party, guys... let loose and have fun with it!
As this goes on, we'll add them to the list. Enjoy the spoils of victory, people of the Animoo!
Mingle!
Birthday Silliness!
Games!

Learn? [ Oh! She seems delighted at that. ]

That's great. Maybe there's something I can do to help you understand. Do you have any questions I can answer?

[ Oh yes good, a willing to help human! ]

Many. What is the fascination with self-poisoning and auditory damage?

[ AKA why do you guys drink alcohol and listen to super loud music? ]

Bwuh?

[ It takes a moment for her to think on it. Self-poisoning? A glance around the room is unnecessary as she can smell the liquor on the breath of those around them. Auditory damage? That had to do with ears, so it must have meant the loud television. Fortunately her cleverness pays off as she gives a light laugh. ]

Recreational purposes. [ Moving a hand as she speaks, Nunnally continues. ] Alcohol lowers inhibitions so that people might be willing to do things they normally wouldn't consider. This is a good and bad thing. People can take advantage of it, but in public setting like this, it would be a poor idea for anyone.

As for the loud television, it's so we can hear it over the music. [ Not even able to register the music as a distraction. ]

[ Hmmm. It's... still confused, though. :c ]

Then self-poisoning is a means of taking off their limiter functions. Geth often do this in situations where overclocking becomes necessary, but if damage is sustained as a result of frequent use, or overuse, we can repair it.

Why would organics desire to damage that which they cannot repair? Organic bodies cannot be replaced in the same manner.

Often people don't think through the consequences of their actions.

[ It's such a plain statement, but one she thinks is true. People rarely thought what would happen if they did x or x, which is why there's so much pain and suffering in the world. ]

If it's enjoyable now, why concern yourself with the results decades later? I think that's why they don't care.

[ ... It looks somewhat disappointed at that statement. ]

... Carelessness. Geth are programmed to run efficiently and make sure we are in working order. We have trouble understanding why a human would deliberately damage themselves without first assessing the risk factors involved. Perhaps this is because we communicate at the speed of light--there is no need for pause to "think" something over unless consensus cannot be reached in a timely manner.

You can communicate at the speed of light? [ Nunnally sounds impressed with this. ] If only we had the same ability. Our lives aren't very long, so any shortcuts in our lifespan would be met with great appreciation.

As for the topic at hand, I'm afraid I'm not very well versed on it. I've only had a couple of glasses of wine with my older brother.
