So that last week had been hell, and they really should have seen it coming, but it's as they all say...

It was just another Tuesday in Tower What The Helsinki is Going On Here.

Unlike the private party, there are definitely plenty of decorations courtesy of the Amagi Inn heiress, and plenty of food thanks to those who offered to hunt for the event and the ones who could prepare what was caught and gathered. Really, everything's set. Even some alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were clearly labeled (so please, don't spike the normal punch. There are kids here!).

So why was this all set up? Why, because they had succeeded in pissing in Jason's cornflakes and got him maaaaad figuring out the cure for the madness of the previous week with the clues that had been given. But wait, was there a birthday or two this month that had otherwise gone unnoticed? Well, why not celebrate them while celebrating their hard-earned victory? There's cards on a table for people to write down the lucky people who survived another year of this craziness, just waiting for well wishes (or not so, depending on if you like them or not).

"I'm glad you're not a clown." Maniacal clowns... Romeo shares a room with one and though they were friends (in Romeo's eyes, though he knew his friendship wasn't welcome) it was still scary.

Aw, but Jade thought Gamzee was kind of cool!

"Trust me, so am I. I wouldn't be able to pull off the make-up. It'd cramp my style."

So did Romeo! Cool but terrifying, and only the latter when he was mad. But it was scary and Romeo was glad there was only one of them.

He grinned, "The makeup looks silly."

"Yeah it does. Their mothers would be pretty fucking ashamed if they knew they were leaving the house looking like that."

"They would? Why?" Blinking in confusion. Jade nothing you ever say makes sense, please teach him.

She's a Strider. It's not supposed to make sense.

"Because they're a motherfucking fashion disaster. I mean one look and you go 'goddamn, you look fucking ridiculous, what are you even doing with that pattern.'"

"And that would make their mums ashamed?" Did parents care what their kids wore and looked like? Romeo's mum had always been mad if he came back covered in mud, but Romeo had thought that was because he got the house dirty.

"'Course. Moms never want their kids going around looking like buffoons, it's like some kind of social faux pas. Or something."

"Isn't a buffoon like a monkey?" Romeo blinked at her in confusion.

[reddeadvirtuoso]

"Yep. It's a dumb human that acts like a monkey. Feces flinging optional."

"Oh so it's not really a monkey?" Romeo blinked.

[reddeadvirtuoso]

"No. But a baboon is similar to both, and is indeed a kind of monkey."

"Oh a baboon." Romeo nodded, "I knew it began with a ba sound." He grinned, "So bafoon's paint their faces and their mums don't like it when their kids copy them." He understood that.

"Exactly." And she nodded with a cross of her arms. She was pretty sure this entire conclusion was bullshit by this point, but then she never said that she was a very good teacher.

He grinned, "So is Gamzee a baboon?"

"Yep, Gamzee's a baboon." She's grinning and trying not to laugh right now. Sorry Gambro??

"He is." He nodded and grinned even wider. "We probably shouldn't tell him."

Jade's even going so far as to make the zipping motion over her mouth.

"Hey man, my lips are sealed if you are. Trade secret."

Romeo grinned and copied the zipping motion. "Mine are too! I wont tell anyone!"
