Okay, Yamato was half-tempted to scream IMPOSTER at this point. The only thing keeping him sensible was the prickling feeling of energy he could feel from Alcor - nothing could imitate the static sensation so perfectly, and having grown up with the man, well, Yamato knew Alcor's spiritual signature just as well as his own.

Which meant that this was more serious than Yamato realised.

"How could they have taken your powers?" Yamato asked, mostly out of surprise than anything else. His expression became mildly anxious then, "There isn't anything stronger than you."

Ah, Yamato's naivety. But it was true. Alcor had always seemed...invincible to Yamato. The thought of something being strong enough to take away his caretaker's powers was...terrifying.
