Summary: Amalia decides to throw a dorm party for her roommates! Make new girlfrands y/n?

It had come as quite a shock when Amalia realized that despite having been in the Tower for a few months, she really hadn't had a chance to sit down and get to know those who shared her dorm. That made her feel like she was taking advantage of their hospitality since they'd been nothing but good roommates for her. Plus she wanted to learn more about them and this seemed like the best way to put everyone at ease.

So she spent a few days growing and trimming all the necessary things she thought she'd need, and when the dorm was empty, set up long garlands of flowering vines around everywhere which bloomed specially bright and fragrant at her touch. She also had grown a large variety of fruits from her homeland and so there were citronanas, jute berries, apiz and jollyflower fruits.

Now all she had to do was get everyone to come home! So she sent messages to her roommates: I have a surprise for you! Please come back to our dorm. Thank you! -Amalia

Nunnally may not be the first person to return, but she had tried her best to arrive in a timely fashion. All things considered she could only move at one speed in her wheelchair, but she didn't mind it. Only when she entered did she stop and that was to gaze around at the sight around her.

"They're so bright." Almost as though she had never seen colors like this before in her life. At least for a long time, that was. "Did you do this?"

Amalia clasped her hands behind her. "Welcome back!" she greeted. "And yes, I did. I wanted to surprise all of you. I hope that's all right..."

"I think it ought to be." Alright, that is. She couldn't speak for the others so freely (those days of politics were gone now), but she felt a gesture as pleasant as this couldn't be unwanted. "It's really beautiful. I've never seen anything like this in my life before."

Amalia smiled, glad that Nunnally thought it was lovely. "I'm so glad you like it," she said. She held out a small platter of royal blue fruits that looked like fist-sized raspberries.

"Would you like a jollyflower?"

"A jollyflower?" Nunnally's certainly never heard of that before, so she'll give it a cautious look over before giving a polite nod of the head. "Yes please."

"I'm afraid I've never held one before. Is there anything I need to be concerned about in handling it? I, I wouldn't want to damage something so beautiful."

Amalia smiled kindly and shook her head. "No, it's for eating. But you can pull it apart into sections," she places her hands over Nunnally's and demonstrated. "And it's easier to eat this way."

See, the thing about V/V's world? It had no plants on it naturally. It was, after all, dead. So, to see so many fruits, so many wonderful colors of nature...

Excuse her, she's just going to tear up a little. "This is so beautiful."

That was definitely not the reaction that Amalia had been expecting and seeing tears (and not realizing they were good ones) she looks a little panicked.

"O-Oh, what's wrong? Is something wrong? Are you all right?"

"I-it's okay, I just haven't seen this many living plants before..." She wipes her eyes. "They're wonderful."

Amalia couldn't help it; she was moved to put her arms around V/V in a hug. Even if they were happy tears, she still worried.

"It's okay..." she said. "Do you want to sit down? How about we have some jollyflowers?"

V/V hugged Amalia back gently. "That sounds nice. Okay."

Amalia sat down and patted the cushion next to her, then she held out a small platter of royal blue fruits that looked like fist-sized raspberries.

"I hope you like it, they're one of my favourites."

After sitting down, V/V picked one up and took a small bite. "Oh, they're really juicy."

Amalia nodded. "They're sour in the spring but really sweet in the fall. I grew them like it was autumn because of that, even though the sour ones make a good drink. What's your favourite fruit, V/V? I can give that a try too!"

"I don't... have one. I don't think we still have much fruit," she answered, shaking her head.

"You don't?" That seemed like a horrible thing, but the princess recovered quickly. "Then I'll make lots and lots of different kinds until you find one that you really like and that can be your new favourite! Does that sound good?"

"Mmhm, that sounds great!" A smile, though a little shaky.

Amalia beams and picked up a second fruit, pulling it apart. "So how have you been?"

"Um, okay." V/V thought over what had happened to her since last they talked. "I've met some new people... Mostly, I've been trying not to get hurt, and looking for people who seem like they need help."

"You haven't had any reason to go into the floors that are dangerous, have you?" Amalia asked worriedly.

"Nuh-uh." She shook her head. "I try to stay as safe as I can."

"Ah, that's good," Amalia said with obvious relief. "I'd be worried for you, V/V."

"Thank you. I'll worry about you too," V/V answered, smiling a little.

"How is it that you help people, if I can ask? Is it something that I can do too?"

Amalia was very keen on making herself useful in the Tower.

"Well, if they look lost, I talk to them and see if they're new, and if they are I can tell them about the Tower. And if they're stuck somewhere dangerous I could pick them up and carry them out." She flutters her wings. "You could do the first one."

The princess nodded. "That's a really important task. It helped me when I arrived, so it would be wonderful to be able to pass those on."

"You can do it! I believe in you," V/V answered with a smile.
