Not the most dignified entrance, but it'll do.
Characters: AU Kyuubey, open to all.
Setting: Room 2-03, Cafeteria, and then Floors 22-24. Yep.
Format: Starting with action brackets, but I'll match you.
Summary: An incubator with emotions arrives in the Tower. Shenanigans ensue, including but not limited to getting stuck on floor freaking 23.
Warnings: Possible death because ha ha incubator.
[Room 2-03]
[Kyuubey was not expecting this outcome. Ze could never have; the world was being destroyed and rewritten, and ze as well was to be rewritten. That had been all right. That had been acceptable.
Waking up with sleep paralysis was not all right. Waking up in an unknown place was not acceptable. After recovering enough to move, ze pads over to the notes in order to read them. Information is power, after all.
Your world has been destroyed. I saved you. Let's all be happy here.
This was unacceptable, and in a show of extreme maturity and calculation, Kyuubey began poking at the letter with a paw, as if trying to break it - or somehow make it not exist. It was an irrational reaction, ze knew that. What was done was done, and yet those feelings remained.]
[Cafeteria]
[S'up all. There is a tiny catlike critter with a violet collar sitting on the table and consuming the oatmeal daintily, licking at it bit by bit. The critter doesn't seem to be perturbed by the taste at all. In fact, it seems to be intent on finishing as much of the oatmeal as it can.
Waste not want not, after all. Ze learned a long time ago how important that was to people.]
[Floor 22< - >Floor 24]
[Having decided to enter human form for a change, Kyuubey is now exploring the tower. The only problem, however, is that this tower doesn't make sense.
Long story short, there is what looks like a violet-collared, white-jumpsuit-wearing kid in the art room, looking at the stairway up in utter confusion. There is a missing floor, and that is something ze simply cannot comprehend. What is going on here?
So ze walks up to Floor 24 again.
...And back.
...There was something there, right?...]

The administrators are, I've heard, eccentric.
no subject
And they're in charge of this tower?]
That would explain it.
no subject
["Eccentric" doesn't even begin to cover it, but the Fierce Deity doesn't know that yet.]
no subject
[There's a pause as ze mulls it over.]
... I do not need to continue my duty here. I could very well make that sign myself.
[Yes, this is good. Strange, ze feels a little warm from making that decision. ...Ah, happiness, right. Ze finds pleasure in doing something like this. This is acceptable.]
no subject
His expression remains neutral.] You could. Surely supplies could be found, if you are resourceful.
no subject
[...Oh, ze is smiling. Right, the human form is useful for expressing emotions like this.]
I am... [Zir voice falters for a second, trying to word it right. Emotions are hard okay.] ...all right with this. My duty prior to entering this world was...
[You know those cold, sad colors at the edges of Kyuu's aura, Deity? They're leeching in a bit more, if he's looking at it; regret and remorse for past actions.]
...unpleasant.
[At this point, ze looks up at the Deity, head tilted.]
Is it...a normal reaction for creatures with emotions, to be all right with the end of an unpleasant duty?
no subject
It has been a very long time since someone asked the Deity questions in this way. The child is not asking him for guidance, not quite, but it is nostalgic enough that something in Acala can't help but relax.]
It is, in my observations.
no subject
That is good. Emotions are very complicated, especially when one is not born with them.
[...No change, by the way. Ze feels completely neutral on this subject.]
no subject
[hi you're talking to a god of war if you don't know something obviously you should train in it! ... somehow]
no subject
Emotions, I've found, don't follow simple logic like that. Still, I will make the attempt.
[There's that smiling thing...]
...Thank...you for talking with me about this. I am aware that this situation likely sounds very unusual.
no subject
Stranger things have happened.
no subject
Indeed. For example, running into another version of yourself - that's a thing that has happened here.
[Just this morning in fact. :u]
