Setting: Throughout the tower, October 10th-13th.
Format: Starting off with action, but I’ll follow you.
Summary: Haruhi is not pleased about being in a Queen of Hearts costume. Shenanigans occur.
Warnings: Abuse of language, violence. If anything more specific occurs, this will be edited.

✖ FLOOR THREE;

[When Haruhi Suzumiya wakes up in the morning, she notices that she’s definitely not in her usual North High uniform. Of course, she’s mad. But it’s not just the costume she’s mad about, no. If it were just that, she would have went out and mess around with all the tower’s inhabitants.

But instead, she’s going to huff and stomp right on out of her room, yelling angrily. Don’t mind her, she’s just venting.]

What kind of idiot brings Halloween early? It’s on October 31st, you dimwits! Thirty-first! Argh!

[And she’ll stomp off, heading to her next destination. She isn’t necessarily paying attention as she roams around, so she might as well bump into someone.]

✖ CAFETERIA;

[Haruhi is eating a huge meal today. It’s not that she’s a fatty or anything like that. To be honest, she usually doesn’t eat all that much. But she’s too irritated. And she needs to get her mind off of things.

Especially when those things include ‘the Tower’, ‘her brigade’, and ‘Halloween’.

Do you dare attempt to bother her?]

✖ MONSTERS;

[Haruhi may not have any supernatural abilities (or so she thinks), but she’s raking up the candy by doing several things. One of them includes jumping out of nowhere, kicking monsters in the shins, and doing the Hare Hare Yukai to distract them. And it’s surprising that she can actually manage any of these things in the dress that she’s wearing.

She might also be yelling “Off with their head!” before she charges at a monster.

Each and every time that Haruhi beats a monster though, she gives a sly grin, laughing triumphantly.

At least you’re not Haruhi’s target, right?]

While Tohko was mortified to be stuck in an embarrassing costume , she knew that she had to make a few friends around here. After all, it'd be a little lonely if Saber was her only friend. Besides, the more people she knew, the more people could help her out with getting candy.

So, when she saw a girl with short brown hair wearing a Queen of Hearts costume in the cafeteria, she couldn't pass up the opportunity to talk with her.

"Hello! How are you? I love your costume! It's a lot better than mine.."

"Seriously?" Haruhi rolled her eyes, completely unimpressed. Honestly, she's speaking while still eating. Of course, a compliment on the costume was hardly a compliment.

Flipping her hair, she continued to speak, not really in the best of moods. "It's not like I chose this outfit."

The girl was..rude, to put it bluntly. However, Tohko was used to rudeness on a much higher level. This was just rudeness on a different level that reminded her of the typical snobby teen you'd seen in young adult books. Which was weird, but it made Tohko hunger for some of those old stories.

So, she just scratched her head and chuckled. "That's true, but at least it looks a lot better than some of the ones here. And it's a lot more modest than mine." As a small joke, she pulled out some red tarts that were lying in a pantry. "Would you like these tarts, Highness?"

"No, it's okay," she replies, flipping her her hair as she finished eating the sandwich that she had. Rolling her eyes, she was certainly unamused by the situation as a whole. She didn't like being mocked, especially by a girl such as... this.

It annoyed her.

Tohko chuckled as she replied. She could tell by the girl's reaction that she didn't get the reference, but to her, it was still funny. She'd have to show her Alice in Wonderland sometime.

"Bad jokes aside, I'm Tohko Amano, the book girl. Who are you?"

Unfortunately for her, Haruhi has actually read the Alice and Wonderland books. She just wasn't in the mood for jokes, especially at this time.

"Suzumiya Haruhi."

"Nice to meet you, Haruhi." Tohko, trying to think of something else to say, started talking about the candy event.

"By the way, have you managed to find any candy? If you're having trouble, I'll help you out." Tohko put down the plate of tarts, and then ate one. It tasted like sand, but Tohko did her best to make a face that showed that these tarts were delicious. It was best to do something like this from time to time. It usually helped her make friends.

"I already got enough."

She didn't have too many problems finding candy this week, especially since she was an abled fighter. Sure, she didn't have to fight that often (considering the circumstances), but she was able to take on the monsters.

It wasn't difficult at all.

"Ah. Alright then." Tohko smiled nervously, and suddenly, a thought popped into her head. Tohko was a book girl..but what kind of girl was Haruhi?

"So, what are you interested in? Books? Movies? The occult?" Tohko asked, using the last suggestion a bit jokingly.

Haruhi's eyes lit up when she suggested 'the occult'. Of course, she didn't like occult fanatics, since they were completely and utterly boring. But the occult was the closest to the things that she liked.

"The occult is boring. But what I really like is anything supernatural! Aliens! Time travelers! Espers!"

Tohko grinned, happy to see that Haruhi was actually being interested in the conversation. She had read plenty of stories with things like that in them, but she had never seen them.

"Those things are pretty interesting. However..while Aliens are probably real, and while time traveling can probably be done, I'm not sure if espers exist." Tohko sighed. However, a thought came to her head. "You know..since the people in the tower here all come from different countries and places, it's possible that the person or people who brought us all to the tower are excellent sliders."

[ It could be worse, Haruhi. You could be stuck as Beautiful Protector Mariner Moonlight, which Link is currently stuck as. They're still embarrassed by the outfit, but not about to let that stop them from running around killing monsters to take their frustration out.

It's a good thing "he" has the legs for it, but really, it's a pain. Setting that aside, though, the Hero of Time happens to notice Haruhi's got a monster coming up behind her, so they take the Master Sword and use it to slice the creature approaching her while her back is turned in two.

Oh, hey, look, it dropped a piece of candy. Cool. Link will gladly take that! ]

Do not underestimate your opponents. Always watch your back.

[ Of course, the seriousness of Link's point might be a bit lost due to this stupid outfit, but... ]

Who said anything about underestimating them?

[She sure wasn't. After all, she isn't a complete imbecile, after all.]
