(no subject)

Characters: "Elvenking" Legolas and YOU, tower!
Setting: Backdated to Oct. 11, throughout the tower (just pick anywhere)
Format: Prose to start but will switch
Summary: Legolas woke up dressed as his father, King Thranduil. Including the crown.
Warnings: Nothing but possible mischief

When the prince had awoken this morning, he was dressed in the slightly confining clothes of a figure he knew quite well, one he had known for a few thousand years, in fact. He attempted to remove them but that moment he shifted his attention to take his own clothes, the costume was on his once more, crown included. The type of crown he'd always refused to wear when at home, opting for a more traditional silver circlet.

Well, this was a battle he wouldn't win so he grabbed his swords and strapped them on to go with his costume and grabbed the ridiculous little bucket, looking at it with obvious distaste and went to scour the tower for candy. None of which he would eat because, wow, what the hell were those things? Nothing like that was in Middle Earth and he's not about to try one.

The Prince of Mirkwood would not be the only one dressed abnormally today. In truth, Haldir felt rather out of place in these dark crimson robes, especially since he wasn't quite fond of the style. However beggars cannot be choosers, and it would seem that Animus has forced all residents to don some sort of strange apparel. Walking along the hall within garbs not his own, Haldir paused once he saw a man dressed in silver approach.

Not quite certain what to think of the fancily dressed fellow, Haldir's eyes widen once he realized just who this person was supposed to be. "The Elvenking, here...?" His brow arched somewhat. "Nay, this cannot be." Drawing nearer with every step, the march warden suddenly came to an abrupt halt once he realized who it truly was. "Legolas?" He just stares at the prince with a baffled gaze.

"What is the meaning of this?"

As fair as Haldir and most of their kind are; crimson is simply not a hue that best suits them. Already well aware of this truth, the march warden had the right to feel rather uncomfortable in such gaudy attire. However, he does feel oddly empowered in such strange garbs. Perhaps there's some sort of reason why the Administrators went through so much trouble to ensure he'll wear it.

"Aaye, Legolas." He greets him with a slight bow. "It would seem that neither of us could easily recognize each other in such lavish attire." Finally noting how much Legolas truly takes after his lord father, Haldir doesn't quite feel up to teasing the poor Elf. Before him stands the Prince of Mirkwood, not the cheeky young wood-elf who tries his patience.

"Is it wise to assume that this is yet another foul trick played upon us?"

*Enoch had encountered candy in Meridian, at least. And it had made him go crazy for three days. So he wasn't eating any of his own.

Should Legolas go to the elevator for any reason, he may see a man dressed as an angel kneeling on the floor with a handful of candy. A glance down into the bucket he's tied to his waist will show he's probably got enough for the day, which might explain some things, like why he simply deposits the handful there and straightens up without it.*

It wasn't in Haldir's intention to look ghoulish, but it would seem that donning such a hue makes him seem just that that. Quite self-conscious regarding his current appearance, the march warden might seem a tad jittery as of now. "I grow weary of these senseless games, Legolas." He muttered in discontent. "I do not understand why they seem to relish in our humiliation, but this must end soon."

Not quite abreast in the reason for this strange costume, Haldir finds himself at a loss as to what to do. He's no mere elfling, therefore why have them play such silly games? This is quite humiliating in his opinion, less so than the party of course. "I take it that we should be off searching, yes?" How utterly ridiculous it is for two grown Elves to be prancing about in search of treats? This is another strike against Haldir's pride.

Well, at least Kankuro wasn't the only one among the residents of room 3-06 that had awakened looking rather ridiculous.

"Well, ain't this cute?" he commented, once Legolas had given up on trying to get changed, examining the plastic pumpkin with a grimace of distaste. Ugly thing it was, and no doubt it'd just get in the way of just about anything he actually wanted to do. "Someone must be bored out of their mind."

Taiki was also in a costume and was in the meadow hunting for candy. Sanshi and Gohran were both with him and he knew Lord Gyousou was close by, though Taiki was glad that Gyousou felt he could do other things and not be with Taiki all the time. Taiki was worried that the dangers of this place would make him even more of a burden on his king.

He blinked at Legolas not recognising him for a moment in the costume, but once he realised who it was he smiled. "Hello Legolas!"

Taiki grinned running closer, the giraffe head bobbing as he ran. "Are you alright, Legolas?" He tilted his head looking at his costume. "Is that... sorry did you wake up in a costume?" He hoped it was and that Legolas wouldn't be insulted. After all it wasn't Legolas' normal wear and much more formal than anything Taiki had seen him in before, he looked like a king.

"Tch, we actually get to make complaints here?" That was a change. "Can't imagine they get listened to, if this place is still the way it is." Back where he had been -- the place he could only now remember -- making complaints just made their captors laugh and make insulting notes for everyone to see.

He raised a hand as though to pull off the mask -- hell, this thing wasn't any good, he got basically no peripheral out of that side now, how was he supposed to fight like that? But let it fall again. If these things could stay off, he was pretty sure his roommate wouldn't be still wearing that red crown. "I've sure as hell got a few things I'd like to say to 'em, given the chance," he added.

Shudder. "Th- thanks for telling me," Kankuro muttered, fighting the urge to clasp his hands protectively against his stomach. Scalpels in the... uggh. His mind could conjure it up only all too well, and it was sickening.

"I'll keep it in mind," he added, struggling for the ease he'd had a moment before. "Cause when it comes down to it, un-crippled limbs are better than getting to bitch and moan."

You cut quite a dashing figure like that Legolas. Of course, considering the costumes of most of those here for the season it seems quite unlikely it's meant to compliment you all that well. He has to wonder what the meaning of your costume is, both as to what it means in your world and what it means to you. And if it does have negative connotations for you.

There's a little boy dressed in a large red suit following you Legolas. Well, suit wouldn't be entirely appropriate; with the horns and the tail it wouldn't be hard to see him as impish in appearance. It would help perhaps if the boy smiled, but it doesn't appear as if smiling is something the boy does very much of.

"That's quite a grand costume they've given you."

*Enoch blinked at the unfamiliar words, his first instinct to try and make sense of them because he rarely failed to understand things.*

Ah...what was that?

"I am!" He gave a tiny smile, "I'm just collecting candy." He liked Legolas' costume, even if it was a little bit intimidating; like Lord Gyousou in full regalia.

He gave a tiny smile, "It's a kirin," he wasn't sure if Legolas had giraffe's in his world but the Twelve Kingdoms didn't have them so Taiki thought they might just be on earth.

"Not the kirin like I am, but an earth kirin, it's the same word in my language... Well my earth language..."

At first, this armored man was surprised and thought he caught a glimpse of the Elvenking in the tower... However, he would not approach the Elf to verify that it was really him, all things considered this could only be a disguise. And he didn't want for anyone to see him like that. However, Legolas could probably have no difficulty seeing the armored man..

And lo, it is in a hallway leading to the cafeteria that the Prince would meet... The Dark Lord of Middle-Earth, Sauron? The costume was perfectly identical to the real one, even a copy of the accursed one ring was on the man's finger. Little could he know it was actually Gandalf under that costume.

And the truth? Gandalf didn't want anyone to see him in that costume.

Despite how noble a deed would be, the march warden would never accept the Elvenking's garbs as his own. He is an Elf of Lothlórien and the former leader of the Galadhrim. His heritage and pride alone would forsake such a gift with frigid ease.

"How true." He replied with a bear hint of relief in his tone. "You are quite right considering that we have come under Jason's tyrannical rule." Haldir nearly shuttered at the mention of the man who ruled a month ago. "Who is it that sovereigns us now? If not Jason, then it be Dax?" He sighs softly. "I know naught of the news as of late. My mind lingers elsewhere." True enough of a statement since Haldir's been more focused on other matters than that involving the tower.

"I take it we should at least play along, yes?"
