#1 -- It's Not The End Of The World, And I Sure Can't See It From Here
Characters: Commander Shepard and YOU CRAZY KIDS.
Setting: Room 3-15, then anywhere around the dorm, I guess. October 13th.
Format: Prose for the post itself, but I'll match you.
Summary: Shepard would like to put a cap in the admins' asses. :|
Warnings: Foul language, but other than that, IDEK. I'll edit as necessary.
Room 3-15
Something didn't sit well this fine morning. Actually, two things.
One, she wasn't in her cabin on the Normandy. She was pretty damn sure she didn't have any ryncol at the Citadel during her brief shore leave...nor did she do anything else that would amount to having a huge hangover when she woke up. What the hell was going on? How did she get sucked into this place? The second thing that was a bother--quite obviously--was the note. Her world was 'destroyed'? Someone 'saved' her? From what, saving her galaxy from the damnable Reaper threat at large?
Well, she isn't having any of that.
"'Let's be happy here', my ass."
Said note was handily crushed and thrown aside.
Bullshit. Pure bullshit.
That was the main thought that was running through her head after only two readings. No, she wasn't going to believe it--she wasn't going to let herself be deceived by this. She was going to go over to whoever 'rescued' her and punch them. This was nonsense of the highest degree. This was like waking up and finding you were brought back to the land of the living by a terrorist organization. It was not pleasant, nor was it her idea of a good time. Suffice to say--she needed answers, and she was going to get them by any means necessary--diplomacy or otherwise. Shepard stands up after a moment, taking some time to cradle the headache that she'd gotten from going over the note. For all intents and purposes, her life was cosmic hell--and she knew it.
No use sitting around here like a stump. I better get a move on.
...It's only then that she notices the trunk her belongings were in; she puts on her uniform, takes out the Phalanx inside, and sets off out of her room--though depending on who's there, she might not get further than a few steps before she runs into someone.
Anywhere else in said Dorms
There is a woman clad in a black Cerberus Officer Uniform with a pistol at her hip passing through the halls. To say she doesn't look happy about her situation is an understatement--maybe she's one of the newcomers? It sounds like it, judging by the occasional muttering of curses towards her 'saviors'...
Approach her?

Oh, sweet! That's good at least. But just in case - take the oatmeal stuff seriously, alright? It's not fun seeing someone get sick all over the place just because they tried to out-stubborn the system.
no subject
I don't see just how bad it could get, but alright. Better safe than sorry, as they say.
[And since she's already introduced herself to Yu...] I'm Commander Shepard. And you are?
no subject
Yosuke Hanamura. Sorry, I didn't realize you were military, or I would have saluted, or something. Crap, what's the proper thing for a commander?
no subject
Easy, Yosuke. It's not like I uphold army manners at all times.
no subject
Well, that's good for me! Still, looks like the army took care of you well. [He can't help but cast a glance at her pistol] I'm not exactly a gun person, but that one looks like some serious hardware.
no subject
Would you have preferred Renegade Shepard instead, Yosuke? She could have been a militaristic bitch... >8DBut yeah, she's as relaxed as can be. Formalities aren't her thing, anyway. 8U]
That's an understatement if I ever heard one. [Don't think she isn't aware of that leer at her Phalanx, too. She holds it up for him for a sec so he can get a better look, before putting it back--pretty easy for her to notice he isn't exactly in the same time period as her.] This? This is pretty standard issue where I'm from.

Hey, Renegade Shepard has her moments. She can be totally awesome in really badass bitchy ways!][He watches with appreciation, because damn that is some crazy shit]
I wonder how far ahead of me you are? Wait, that's assuming we're even from the same world - or hell, the same planet. Do Earth and Japan ring any bells for you?
no subject
This is true! Unfortunately the majority of the time, it seems to backfire more often than not. Just look at Wrex. 8|Crazy shit, indeed, regardless. 8U]
Earth does. [For what little she knew of it, she does know about it! ...Just not well enough because lol, colonist...] If it's any indicator, I'd say I'm about a hundred years ahead.

Man, I was hoping with the sentient robot girls and all the future wouldn't be that far off.
no subject
It could be a lot further away than a century, you know.

[Shrug. Considering that she came from a world where mono-eyed synthetics, big death machines, weapons that compress themselves for easier carrying, and (apparently) blue-skinned mono-gender people who act as 'entertainment' are the norm, she doesn't quite see what's so special.
Then again, considering that he's from a world where that isn't the case, she'll cut him some slack.] It still depends, though--what're they like? Are they sentient, like the ones I'm thinking of?
no subject
Yeah, the one I know is pretty sentient. And... surprisingly cute, for a robot.
no subject
...But really, that gets her attention--a timeline that doesn't look all that advanced, yet has the capacity for sentient machines? Huh.]
You've got me curious now. What's she look like?
[It'll make it easier for her to identify on sight if she knew her appearance.]
no subject
She's about my height, long silver hair, red eyes, and like I said, surprisingly cute. She won't be hard to spot if you see her wandering around.
Oh damn, sorry for lateness.
I'll keep an eye out for her. [More allies to rely on is always a plus. :|a]
Any other warnings you'd like to pass out?
It's all good!
If you meet someone named Izanami, don't make her mad. She's kind of a god.
Woohoo! @_@

Re: \o/
[And besides, what could possibly be worse than Reapers? 8|]

Well, let me give you the short version. She makes fog appear. When fog appears? Things go a little crazy.
Your double shows up. They look like you, talk like you - they're you in every single way because it's literally you. Well, your dark half anyway. It's called your shadow. It shows up and starts poking and prodding at all your weak spots and every secret that you've ever held. It says anything it can with any hint of truth to try and get under your skin and make you deny it.
If you accept it? You get stronger, literally and not so literally. If you deny it?
Your shadow turns into a monster and tries to murder you.
no subject
Psychology used against you, huh. Just peachy. Yet, something's telling me this isn't even the worst of it.
no subject
We, uh... we fixed that though, so it's fine?
[What has the world come to where he's defending Izamommy...]
