Summary: Terezi is still wandering the Tower, and gets lost in the maze with Vriska. Joy! Maybe they will run into other people on the way?

[Terezi is going to go insane. She's been stuck in this maze with Vriska for twenty minutes, with no sign of reaching the exit. To make matters worse, Vriska is so annoying and her voice so grating that Terezi can't focus. Every attempt to lose her so far has been completely unsuccessful.]

Jegus, Vriska, shut up.

[Oops, someone heard him, and not doing something he was really supposed to be doing. He swallows and takes a deep breath, then turns around and regards the two young trolls. His irises are a bright candy crimson, but otherwise he's Karkat, just four sweeps older.

He also crooks a wry smile. Another difference]

Oh...hey there. I don't suppose you know a way out of here?

[Then he blinks and looks closer at Terezi, obviously a bit confused. She sure looks like Redglare, but there's no way she'd be old enough to have that name yet, so he's just perplexed.]

[No she doesn't know a way out of here but WHO CARES. Karkat's ancestor! She crosses the distance between them in a few short strides, stands on her tiptoes, and sniffs him.]

Jegus! You smell just like him!

[THIS IS SO COOL?]

[Holy shit his eyes are red. She keeps her distance, maybe even bristles a bit.]

Wow Pyrope, could you be any more of a freak?

[Okay, woah, what is personal space??? He leans back a bit as she sniffs him, then notices the burned out eyes. Definitely not Redglare, huh? Bizarre.

He notices the other one keeping her distance, which is fine. You stay over there, kid, if it makes you feel better.]

I smell just like who?

Karkat! Our leader!

[She grins, wide and shark-like.]

You must be his ancestor!

No waaaaaaaay, no one could have possibly guessed that.

[You bitch, quit ignoring her. She drifts a little closer, but not by much.]

[Signless goes very still for a moment, his crimson eyes darting from Terezi to Vriska and his eyebrows drawing together. A descendent? But he's only ten sweeps old, not exactly ancient, and what does that even mean, anyway? Are they saying that another mutant like him has been born?]

Maybe you'd better start at the beginning...

[Still totally ignoring Vriska, yup.]

You must be from a different point on our timeline! But Karkat Vantas is our leader, and he has the same blood color you have! He also rants forever, like you just were.

[R U D E.]

It's preeeeeeeetty complicated, I doubt you could understand it. Vantas made you.

[He looks from Terezi to Vriska, still frowning.] Is this Karkat Vantas here?

[Terezi nods, still grinning.]

Yup!

Sure is! Two of him, actually.

[He eyes Vriska. He's pretty sure they are pulling his leg, but he doesn't get why they would.]

Take me to him, then.

Okay! As soon as we get out of this maze.

With me leading, we'll be back to the stairs in no time!

[Vriska returns his look with a cocky grin. There's no point in being intimidated just because he's an adult troll. He's Karkat's ancestor, which means he's probably just as harmless as Karkat is.]

Lead the way then, kid. [He shrugs. Wandering around wasn't helping, so he might as well wander around with company] You two can call me Signless, by the way. What are your names?

[NOPE, Terezi will be leading the way this time, Vriska.]

We will be out of here in no time!

[Oh yes, let's let the blind girl lead again. She's just going to walk next to Terezi so she's kind of leading too. It works.]

The great Vriska Serket, at your service!

[Signless laughs quietly, but goodnaturedly.] Good to meet you both.

[Terezi glances over her shoulder needlessly, still grinning.]

Did you know my ancestor? She was a legislacerator named Redglare!

Who cares about her! What about Mindfang? You muuuuuuuust know about the greatest gamblignant ever, right?

Redglare I know. [He grins at Terezi] The resemblance is pretty fucking uncanny, I have to say. But she's taller. [And not blind, but that might be a sensitive subject, so he looks at Vriska curiously] Can't say I know Mindfang, personally. I've heard of her, though. [His expression darkens a bit. He knows of Mindfang through Psiioniic, so it's not exactly a good association.]
