Setting: Eighth floor.
Format: Action!
Summary: Terezi is still wandering the Tower, and gets lost in the maze with Vriska. Joy! Maybe they will run into other people on the way?

[Terezi is going to go insane. She's been stuck in this maze with Vriska for twenty minutes, with no sign of reaching the exit. To make matters worse, Vriska is so annoying and her voice so grating that Terezi can't focus. Every attempt to lose her so far has been completely unsuccessful.]

Jegus, Vriska, shut up.

He tries to back up out of the way, but Terezi's and Vriska's hands make it first. Karkat pales considerably.]

What the fuck--are you actually serious??? Back off!!

[Vriska plucks the book from his hands and flutters out of reach, grinning victoriously as she dangles it in front of him. Then she flips it open and scans a few pages.

........Cracking. Up.]

Oh my god, you can't be serious, Vantas. Pyrope, come get a look at this.

[Deadpan:] I can't.

WHO'S SIDE ARE YOU ON, TEREZI???

[Trying to jerk his arm out of Terezi's grip to snatch the book back, baring tiny fangs.]

[Rolling her eyes.]

Look, lick, whatever! You know what I mean, Terezi.

[She drifts further out of reach, grinning.]

I can't believe you read crap like this. This is soooooooo embarrassing!

[Terezi seems to realize, suddenly, that she is acting like she's on Vriska's side, and her expression hardens. She drops Karkat's arm and plants her hands on her hips.]

My side. Stop being so smug, Vriska. No one is impressed!

[Promptly darting from Terezi's grip to dive at Vriska in the air -- he'll grab whatever he can reach and proceed to try and claw his way up to the book.]

Drop it, Serket!

[Too short lived. That feeling of the Scourge Sisters being back in action. Just like old times, for just a moment they'd actually been a team again. The way Terezi recoils from it reminds her of how badly she fucked up. Terezi just can't let it go. Just like Tavros can't let it go.

Her expression hardens minutely for moment before it twists into a wider grin to hide the momentary weakness she felt at being rejected.]

Wow, Pyrope. You sure changed your tune quickly! Gog forbid you could have a little fun with your sister again, huh?? Oh noooooooo, that just won't do!

[She dodges Karkat's attempt, tossing the book aside, interest lost.]

[Terezi's eyes narrow, and she scoffs.]

You're not my sister.

[That was supposed to sound sharp and biting. It came out strained and tired. She shakes her head and tries again.]

You never, ever stop lying. Did you ever even apologize to Tavros? Or Aradia? Do you even feel sorry? I cannot believe I ever even trusted you!

[Oh. Awkward. He'll just go and retrieve that book and look on awkwardly, seething very slightly.

But at least it took their attention off him -- god he never thought he'd think that. Why is he having a conversation with himself in his own head?

Focus, Karkat. Focus. Black drama happening right in front of you. Take notes.]

[She grits her teeth, eyes narrowing dangerously. She doesn't like having Tavros and Aradia thrown in her face like that. Especially when they're the two trolls she did feel remorse over. And she can't even admit because it's weak.]

Since when was any of that even your business? I don't recall you being my keeper! You want to be a legislacerator so bad but your sense of justice is so much like a human's it's pathetic. You think you're so much better than me, but not a single adult would have faulted me for killing Nitram or Megido.

[Terezi prevents herself from flinching by lashing out, instead. The words come out fast and cruel as she takes a step forward.]

But I killed you, didn't I? We were all going to die because of you! Were you trying to finish what Gamzee and Eridan started, or were you just so arrogant that you couldn't see you didn't stand a chance against Jack?

[Scribbling notes in the back of his book...casually. He really does want to say something, but what the hell does he say?]

[She's fed up with this. They idea of dying at Terezi's hand is not one that sets easy with her. She couldn't possible be that weak-

She lunges forward without warning, fist aimed at Terezi's jaw.]

Bullshit! There's no way you could possibly have worked up the nerve to kill me. And I'm the only one out of our sad excuse for a group that could have beaten Jack.

[The force of the hit snaps her head to the side, and when she tastes blood, she realizes that stupid Vriska has split her lip. It takes every ounce of willpower Terezi has not to punch her back. She doesn't have enough to keep herself from shoving Vriska backwards.]

Don't touch me!

[Oh. Physical contact. That's not good. This will be the part where Karkat bites his lip uncomfortably and slips himself inbetween the two females, holding his arms out and looking between both of them.]

Ok so, I have no idea what the fuck either of you are talking about, but considering we're all trapped here in Tower of Things Looking To Murder Us Slowly, maybe we should hold off on the killing each other until further notice.

Get me?

[That's a dangerous place to be, between Vriska and the person she's angriest with. Her pupils dilate for a moment. Is he auspisticing her again? This isn't black.

She glares.]

Right, you don't know what we're talking about. So you should just stay out of it!

[She scoffs, rubbing at her cheek and stepping away from Karkat.]

Whatever.

[Annnd she moves to head down one of the branching paths.]

[Glaring at Vriska a bit.]

Or you can calm your shameglobes for two seconds and stop bickering.

[But he's distracted by Terezi's walking away and turns his head away from Vriska to watch her go.]

Oi!

This isn't any of your business, Karkat.

[Her eyes flick to watch Terezi walk away. Part of her is dying to dart after her and continue this argument because she's still so frustrated.]

Running away, Pyrope? That's so like you.

[She stops, turns, and smiles. She's got enough control now to at least feign that Vriska's comments aren't pissing her off.]

Ooooh, you're baiting me! That will most certainly work.

[Then she grabs for Karkat's wrist.]

Come on, Karkat. You can find the way out, can't you?

You made it my fucking business by shrieking like dying featherbeasts in front of me!

[Grabbed, but he doesn't trust Vriska enough to fully turn his back on her.]

Can we all move on and just get the fuck out of here?
