Summary: Xue sets out to do what a rogue does best, steal. (Assassinations may occur if things go wrong!)

The first few days of candy collecting had been a breeze for the agile trolless. In fact, she had managed to avoid much of everything as she went along in the cloak of the shadows and simply took whatever candy she wanted without even having to engage everyone. She had been relaxed, no stress whatsoever. Even the female version of the undignified costume that had latched itself to her , reminding her of more sour memories of her world hadn't been cumbersome at all... Having nothing to protect her chest and all, even then it had been actually pretty fun...

This week however, it seemed that just like most things in this tower, it wouldn't be as easy as the previous days. Candy was much more scarcer and she had been hearing death cries all over the place... It seemed that the stakes had gone up and it was time to get in the right mind set. With blades at her back and stalking the shadows, Xue would do whatever she had to in order to gain candy and keep her candy from being taken. She'd usually try to simply sap someone unconscious and take what she needed, but she knew that some wouldn't be keen on losing their life treats and she was ready to take them out or flee if need be.

Live to fight another day as they say, but she wouldn't extend that courtesy to her opponents...

And Xue'Kol would be coming across a boy in a undignified costume of his own. He is also looking for candy, though he wont be stealing any from anyone.

Xue paused, still hidden from the senses by the shadows as she saw a familiar face. Costume or not, she couldn't help but recognize one of the few people she had befriended in the tower.

She let out a small sigh wondering if he had faired well... he must have done decently if he was still around.

A chat wouldn't hurt would it? She would get back to searching for candy afterwards.

With a sharp whistle to catch his attention, Xue stepped out of the shadows, not really bothering to cover herself.

"Ey' Shion, joo be holdin' up alright?"

He had been doing well so far, though today was tougher than the days before. He was trying though and trying to make sure Xion and Reno were alright as well.

He smiled when he saw Xue'Kol, he hadn't seen her in a long time. He blushed at her costume, and looked down. "Hello Xue'Kol, I am alright how are you?"

"Can't be complainin' so far. Annoyed at dis dumb game but gotta do wat ya gotta be doin'..."

She looked him over and chuckled, shaking her head. "Ya seem ta have been dealt an intarestin' costume mon."

Shion nodded, "I'm not sure what they are trying to gain from this one."

He blushed again, "Yours is... um interesting too."

"Probably another one of their meanin'less ones mon. When do any of der experiments make sense?" she shook her head and chuckled, raising an eyebrow at him and smirking.

"Ya tink so?" she presses her breasts together in a teasing fashion and laughs. "It be a bit breezy, but at least it ain't too cumbersome." Cause getting candy and sneaking around would have been horrible in something like full plate.

Not many of them, but at least there did seem to be some scientific basis to them most the time. Even if they were cruel and senseless. He blushed again, "Well... I guess that is good..."

"So joo holdin' up alright?" she shifted a bit in place and looked to see if he had his bucket.

"Joo still got enough candy don't joo?"

Shion nodded, he was holding his bucket, he almost had enough for the day. Though he had to go and check Reno and Xion had enough as well. "I do, how about you? You can fight right?"

Since the monsters dropped candy... Shion had been able to fight a couple of low level ones; he thought it was best, after all there were a lot of kids and people who couldn't fight at all. It was better that he left the candy lying about for them.

Xue nodded, "Aye, it was pretty easy da first week mon. Had more n' nuff candy and such. Dis week I be guessin' dey be makin' it harder since candy be seemin' much harder ta get."

Not that she was about to take from a friend, but he could probably guess what she had to be doing walking around through the shadows.

Actually he didn't... Shion wasn't one to think anything but the best from those he thought of as his friends, even though with friends like Rat and Reno you would think he had learned by now...

"I have some if you need extra, I don't want you to die!"

Xue shook here head, "Naw, yer prolly gonna need em. I can hunt my own kiddo, no probs. Joo howevah, gotta stay safe yanno? People are gonna be startin' ta get loopy in da noggin' if ya know what I mean mon, so keep your alerts up at all times."

Shion nodded, he had seen what had happened to Elena... "I know... we have to be careful..."

He worried about her, about all his friends, hating that once again they were pushed into a situation where they would have to die, and when they returned it would be as monsters... forced to hurt their friends.

Xue hadn't seen the extent of the test as of yet, opting to keep to herself and hidden in the shadows waiting for the right opportunities to strike so her encounters with the changed had been non-existent.

"Joo make sure that once joo got enough you return to a safe place joo hear? Can't be havin' joo walkin' round these halls and gettin' hurt mon."

Shion smiled at her, "I will, you too alright? You're not allowed to get hurt." His voice was serious, he didn't like his friends getting hurt at all, and the last few weeks had been tough on that level.

Xue chuckled and smiled, giving him a thumbs up. "If I be gettin' hit, den I ain't doin' my job right mon. I'll see ya latah den cutie~" She winked and blew him a playful kiss.

Shion blushed again and waved to her, hoping that she would be alright.
