Summary: Axel and a W Series walk into the bar- I mean, Axel finds someone he recognizes but supposedly died in the jump across dimensions.

[Today's daily ration wasn't so bad. Axel could pop pumpkin seeds into his mouth and watch people as they came in. Despite his awful Lamia outfit, he didn't really have much in the way of shame so sitting in plain sight wasn't an issue. And the fact that he had loads of candy meant that he was surviving just fine for the moment.

Everyone here, though, was someone new to him. What he had hoped was that someone he knew would stop by for their meal and he would see them. Hopefully Alfimi, for that was whom he wanted to see. He'd also settled for his former enemy, Kyosuke, or his partner in crime, Excellen. And maybe, JUST MAYBE AND ONLY A LITTLE, seeing Lamia would be welcome. But not all that welcome.

All that was left was to watch, really....]

[ It's not like Lamia or anything can possibly be in this place. For one, that might say that Axel has pretty good luck or that he was significant enough in this tower to troll. Although it was becoming increasingly obvious that the tower thrives off the suffering of it's residents.

Which is why there might be a familiar green-haired woman of just about the height give or take a few W-series modifications lingering around. Don't worry, she won't waste any time in crossing the room and: ]

You there. [ What's being polite? Not in her programming. ]

[It was probably the trolling option. Mostly likely that one, yep.

Because, at first, he didn't care to notice the girl but something niggled in the back of his head. As she got closer, that niggling got even more insistent. The fact was, he knew this person. Her name was on the tip of his tongue, something that annoyed him to no end. And then when he saw the robotics, it hit him. A not physical hit that caused him to jump to his feet.]

You-! You're W-07! [Pronounced Oh-Seven, of course.]

[ Raising an eyebrow at the sudden outburst, Aschen hesitates only to draw a likely conclusion from it. After weighing the options, she speaks. ]

Correct. [ Much like a typical android, she gives the kind of answer that can only be infuriating to hear. ] Are you an administrator of this tower?

[ Because really how would anyone from her world that she's never met before know that. ]

[Wat.

No wait, shouldn't her memory banks have knowledge of him? No, it should. He was the superior officer, third in charge of the Shadow Mirror forces. Much like W-17, something must have scrambled in her systems during the jump. That was the only thing he could think of.]

No, I am Captain Axel Almer, your superior officer. You and the rest of your forsaken W series fall under my command.

[Mostly because Lemon and Vindel were dead.]

[ There's no recollection of the name to be found in her memory, Aschen's arms folding over her chest. Being at 'ease' in front of a supposed captain is probably in poor taste in some part of the world, but in a tower where rank is thrown out the window? No fucks are to be given. ]

Under what jurisdiction? [ Humoring him with a monotone voice, she'll inquire about that much. ]

[He gritted his teeth to hold back his anger. Being questioned by a doll wasn't exactly his idea of 'fun'.]

I was there when you were created. I was the last person to make the jump to make sure every other ship got out. There is only one person left out of everyone in the original army and she calls me captain. That's the jurisdiction.

[ashtoash]

[ Noting the anger. Returning it with another raised brow. ] So all I have in this place is your word and no physical proof, correct?

[ Just confirming that. It'd suck if she had some kind of switch he could flip or something. ]

Go on and ask for it. But I guarantee you won't like it at all.

[Not one bit.]

[ Implying an android is capable of feeling things. Okay, so maybe the W-Series is a bit different, but still!! ]

Who is the one person that calls you captain? [ May as well begin the interrogation somewhere. ]

W-17, codenamed Lamia Loveless.

[A shrug and a smirk.]

Since you seem to be bereft of your memory, she would be considered your overachieving little sister.

[ashtoash]

Unlikely. [ Abruptly spoken. ] Younger siblings don't fit that personality.

[ Overachieving? Seriously? Aschen will remain the best in her eyes. This W-17 sounds interesting enough to file away for later. ]

Besides, W-17 is in no position to give complete rights of the full W-Series to a single person. You may own her, but I have my own goals.

No, she can't. I don't care much about her in the first place. [A partial lie. Just for Lemon's sake, he'd care enough to keep whatever W series that still existed safe.]

Your creator does and she has entrusted her creations to me.

That's what you say, but without physical proof of that, you can't honestly expect me to abide by it.

[ This was starting to put her in an uncomfortable position. If this Axel knew more about her that she didn't know of herself, then there's no telling what he might do. ]

I know your self-destruct codes. And the codes to stop it. Those are there to keep you from going rogue...or in the other case, to stop someone from hijacking your programming. They're inerasable and, more importantly, none of the W-Series actually know the code themselves.

So right now, we're caught in one of the most dangerous games. You can choose to not believe me but, in the back of whatever you puppets call a mind, it'll worry you. Or you can choose to believe me and accept who I am.

I will say one thing. I won't be using those codes to prove a thing. [Not only does he not want to do it ever but...] You have things I need to know, such as where the rest of you are. W-00, W-05, W-06, W-10; where are they?

[ A shame she's not programmed well to know if someone is bluffing or not. While she could just call him out for it, the idea of self-destructing when she's only just arrived keeps her tame enough for the conversation. ]

How do you know about W-00? [ A tactic to buy time with, but she has to confirm that he knows what she knows. ]

Because I was there when he was 'born'. He's the only W-Series that wasn't programmed, like you lot. W-00, codename Haken Browning. That last name comes from his creator and probably his biological mother.

[He isn't sure if test tube babies count but he was sure Lemon used her gene code to make him. And probably some of Axel's as some kind of 'THIS IS OUR KID' joke but he wasn't putting any stock in that.]

Don't know much else about him. He was just a little thing when we made the jump and lost you guys.

I am under direct orders to protect W-00 at all costs so understand that I can't just give information about W-00 freely.

[ Even referring to Haken as that is unsettling, but the details he has of him are too identical to what they uncovered as a group. Well, the 'captain' here has earned enough to get some in return. ]

I've not been able to locate him in this tower due to my sensors being blocked for the most part. I can't scan every floor, so it's difficult to determine if he's arrived here.

[ A pause due to the nature of the order imprinted on her. ] Do you intend to harm him if he arrives?

[This face is entirely innocent. He only harms robots, okay.]

No, I wouldn't harm him unless he wanted a fight. I wouldn't harm the rest of you either and it hurts me to say that.

[Because Lemon would gut him in the afterlife or something.]

Understood Captain. [ There's a bit of snark to that. ] Then I'll continue to inflict mental turmoil upon you by answering your earlier inquiries.

I never encountered W-05 in the Endless Frontier. A brief encounter with W-06 is what led to the discovery of W-00's true identity. [ Her fist clenches with her agitation at admitting this, but she continues. ] My memory was damaged in the crash, so I held no recollection of W-00 beyond the orders to protect him.

[ Even without realizing it, she fought at Haken's side without any concern for her own well-being. While, she had realized it. She just thought it a natural instinct of loyalty due to raising him since he was a child. ]

He's all grown up now.

W-06's orders were supposed to be to keep W-00 safe too. [So many memory wipes errywhere. The 6 part of the series were supposed to be super loyal though...] W-05...good. You don't want to encounter him. If he's missing certain things, he'd probably go berserk. He was already a bit off kilter to begin with.

Grown up?? It's only been a couple years at most. Unless whatever happened to your ship sent you back in time a bit along with being in a whole new dimension.

If we were all on the same ship, then there's no doubt that he's in the Endless Frontier. [ Obviously, but spoken out loud almost to aid her in keeping that logged. ]

As for that latter remark, it's impossible. We crash landed twenty years ago. [ Time traveling too? Let's not get into that. ]

[Yeah, well, he just casually accepts it.]

When I jumped, I ended up in a later time period than everyone else. Twenty years is a long time but I could believe it.

But that settles it. I haven't seen W-00 around. Even if I wouldn't recognize him completely after twenty years, he's got a hair color and eyes that I'd never miss. Looks like you're stuck with me.

[ashtoash]

[ ... ] Stuck with you?

So you're reclaiming full ownership over me until Haken arrives in this place? [ Axel, you sure you want to be held responsible for Aschen?? ] Very well. What are your orders for now?

Haken and you were both made to be soldiers in the Shadow-Mirror army. You'll both answer to me.

Obvious thing is first. I shouldn't have to order you to be careful since you're a combat android. You could probably handle whatever is around here.

Yeah, I got one. Show me what a doll can do when it comes to getting allies. Some person told me that we'd need them and I'm not exactly personable.

Understood. [ Without skipping a beat: ] I'll fetch appropriate ladies to build your harem with.

[ That was Haken's tactic, so it's safe to assume that Axel's will be the same. ]

...are you sure you didn't have any scrambled programming along with that memory loss?

Correct. [ That's all she's going to say on that because HDU assume otherwise. ]

[Is that even an acceptable answer? Staring at her like she's got a screw loose. Literally.]
