pull out the third cord
Characters: Gamzee and you.
Setting: Forward dated to October 17th, in the hall on any floor.
Format: Will match any.
Summary: He's only a harmless mime...
Warnings: Possibility of character death.
There's a mime performing in the hall. It isn't a very complicated routine, just the usual cliched performance you might see in any movie that threw in a mime for comedic value.
Despite the relative harmlessness of the act, however, there's something... off about the one performing it. Perhaps it's the lifeless eyes, or that smile that stretches just past the point of being friendly. Maybe it's the way he tilts his head when you look his way in a manner that's so falsely innocent that it appears to be anything but.
At least he's not after anyone's candy. No, he doesn't need that anymore. He's not performing for your charity. ...And perhaps that's the thing that should worry passers-by the most.
((Gamzee's mime form basically fits this image, though the marks on his face are scratched into his skin and there are more of them. He is unable to speak, and if he touches someone they will also be mute for the next ten minutes. His mimed actions can produce actual results, meaning he can trap someone in an invisible box, push them in front of an invisible train, or anything else he can think of. His main weakness is noise, which can cause him physical pain (or even kill him if it's loud enough).
I will always allow an out for his actions, so how much damage they cause is up to you.))

He had seen some of the people who had died... He had been expecting this to be as awful as all the other experiments and games but still. It was not a good thing to see.
When he saw the boy (he had never learned his name) who had tried to help him... "Are... are you alright there?"
no subject
Unable to speak, he just smiled that same creepy smile and gave a little wave and a nod. Perhaps the man would stay and watch? He was only getting started, after all.
Oh look. Now he's going to read an invisible newspaper.

Oh! Now he had an idea! He began to gesture for Suzaku to come closer. He wanted to impart this new discovery upon him.
no subject
Because this silence was unnerving.
no subject
After all, if Suzaku wanted to help him they should probably start with the basics.

Hey man - what're you up to?
[Starting out friendly, but tense.]

He begins performing the old "trapped in a box" routine, and if that doesn't let the puppet master know what he is, then nothing will.]
no subject
And that's.... weird. That this guy is doing this, and the slightly unsettling look he has about him.]
Having fun, are you?
no subject
Then he beckons at the other teen to come closer.]
no subject
If it's all the same to you, I'll appreciate your performance from back here, I think.

Gamzee frowns and sighs. Then he mimes taking something heavy and round out of his pocket. One, then two, then three, then four. Heavy balls of lead that are difficult to handle - two in each hand.
But then he starts juggling these invisible lead spheres, despite their "weight" making this a little more difficult.]
no subject
You did say you do a bit of that. Looks like it's more than a bit, right now.
no subject
Gamzee catches one of the balls in each hand and, while there's no sound, Kankuro might feel the other two hit the floor hard as though they were solid objects. He should probably process this fast as the boy will be throwing the next two in his direction.]

Ok, he's been standing there for a while maybe he should ... say something? ]
That was, uh, impressive!
no subject
Because this is Tavros - horns and all. In all his time staying there he'd yet to run into him. Or perhaps he'd been avoiding him without really thinking about it.
It's just awkward, and made worse by the fact that he's not a troll himself and his friend doesn't even seem to recognize him. For a moment, he's less the creepy mime and more his old self.
But then the creepy smile is back, and he gives a little bow.]
no subject
His lips curled up slightly, and he tilts his head to the side. ]
Hey, have we met before?
no subject
He's met some version of Tavros, certainly. But that Tavros is technically just as human as he is, and still strapped into the machine last he'd seen. If his world was gone, then that boy is too.
He hasn't met this Tavros, though. Not this troll that belongs to some other version of himself where all of that was real.
And suddenly he's irrationally angry that this is the case, though his expression doesn't change.
He shrugs his shoulders, because what other answer can he give?]
no subject
[ Tavros didn't even bother to hide the slight disappointment in his gaze, being brutally honest for his own good. He couldn't help it; he wears his heart on his sleeve. He keeps that smile, though. Somewhat apologetic at this point. ]
Sorry, I guess. You, uh, kinda look like someone I know? And I thought ... [ Well shit. He shrugs his shoulders, staring down at his bag of sweets. ]
Anyway, you should return to the search soon! We need to, uh, collect as much as we can to make it through this game. It's not really ... that easy anymore. Heh.
no subject
The emotional flip-flops Gamzee is experiencing right now are killer, and the only way he can think of to fix this at the moment is to get the troll to stop talking.
So he holds out his hand, beckoning the other closer to take it.]
no subject
He looks like Gamzee! Like- a weird, human version of the highblood. Holy shit this is the most amazing thing he ever witnessed in this tower so far! Excited, Tavros opened his mouth, ready to start asking him all sorts of questions, but for some reason- no words came out.
He tries speaking again, but it didn't work.
What the actual fuck? ]
no subject
Gamzee's smile widens, if that's even possible. See? Now they're two of a kind.
He puts a finger to his lips, not that Tavros can be anything but silent now anyway.]
