Summary: Nepeta is hunting for candy in some of the oddest of places, if only to hand them out to people she doesn't know.
Warnings: Possible language, violence, and unknown amounts of cute.

Around the Tower - Wherever You'd Like!
[Having finally decided to come to her senses about this whole place, Nepeta feels it necessary to walk around the Tower, picking up candy as she goes and handing them out to the people in need. She wasn't stuck in a costume after all, and as such, didn't need to fear being suffocated to death. That sure had to be unpleasant.]

[Room 2-11 - October 16th Only.]
[Nepeta quietly idles in her room for a while, changing out of her wet clothes. Where the hell did she disappear to for a month? And why hadn't she ever met her roommates? Oh, right. Whale.]

[Floor 10]
[At first she thought this floor was hardly visited, which to her meant that there would likely be candy up and about. Picking up the few the saw, she stopped to look at the fish in the aquarium, wondering why she herself never really came to this floor before. Oh well! First time for everything, right?]

[Floor 7]
[And no one would be surprised to find this little troll wondering on this floor. It was the swimming pool after all, and that's one thing this troll loves to do, is swim. Was this where she was the whole time she was missing?]

[She found a few candies laying about in the pool, which she quickly tossed into her basket before jumping out, shaking off the water. Her hat fell off in this process, exposing her sopping wet hat hair.]

[Cafeteria]
[Wandering the Tower for candy sure takes a lot out of a girl, so she frequents the cafeteria for food or something to drink.]

[Sitting at an abandoned table, the little troll has a bowl of oatmeal sitting in front of her, which she's hardly picked at. She actually looks like she's lost in thought most of the time.]

[Nepeta is not the only young troll that requires nutrition. Kanaya herself is feeling a little worn-out -- she carries her chainsaw with her, and from the blood crusted on the surface of it, she's been using it quite a bit.

She looks worse for wear, but then, when does Kanaya not?

She spots the hat before anything else, almost as soon as she crosses the threshold of the cafeteria.]

Nepeta?

[Nepeta's head popped up when she heard her name. Looking around, she noticed Kanaya at the other end of the cafeteria and jumped in excitement.]

Kanaya!

[Quickly, she grabbed the pumpkin basket and ran up to troll, completely ignoring the fact that she was eating just now.

She was glad too, noticing that it was her Kanaya, not some other blood-swapped Kanaya.]

[Nepeta's reaction causes some mixed emotions. At first, Kanaya smiles in relief -- Nepeta is a good friend, without quadrant-related drama or complicated circumstances -- but then her face falls a little as doubt and panic wriggle their way in.

What if it's a Tower trick? Everyone is dressed strangely and even the people in the Tower look like monsters...

And Nepeta is barrelling towards her so fast that Kanaya thinks she's about to be attacked, not greeted.

She takes a few steps back out of reflex, but as soon as Nepeta stops in front of her, she feels bad for it. Her mouth twists into a frown.] Um. I'm sorry-- [Instead, she offers another smile, but it looks a little strange having just been taken out of a frown.] It's good to see you again.

[Nepeta noticed Kanaya's reactions, frowning a bit. She knew Kanaya had her troubles in the past. It made her wonder how long she'd been here, not to mention what she may have gone through in the process.

Regardless, she was more excited than anything to see a familiar face.]

I'm reely glad to see you too!

[She glanced down to Kanaya's chainsaw, noticing the blood caked along its blade...]

Busy killing monsters?

[Nepeta didn't bring it up. That's good. Kanaya's smile takes on an apologetic color, but she doesn't comment further on her own paranoid behavior.

She also takes a peek down at her weapon. It's due for another cleaning, that's for sure.] Yes. I've become much more proficient at it in my time here. Though I sometimes wish I had a less cumbersome weapon.

[Kanaya's own increased proficiency makes her wonder, actually:] How long have you been here?

[She notices that smile, Kanaya, but lucky for you, she's learned to keep herself from prying, at least immediately. If Kanaya didn't mention it, it was best she didn't, right? Rather keep the air pleasant then bring up unwanted thoughts or memories.

Her own trident was a chore to carry, so she knew Kanaya's pain. No, instead she left the weapon in her room, figuring she was either quick enough to escape or strong enough to fight whatever attacked her. But, she wasn't going to say that out loud! That'd be rude, and she didn't want to make Kanaya feel bad.]

Do you remember when that flying whale attacked the Tower?

[Lucky Nepeta. Kanaya isn't strong or fast enough to manage something like that, nor is she stupid enough to chance it (anymore, at least).

Oh, that...thing.]

Yes, I recall this occurrence. Is that when you arrived?

[ Amalia was taking some time to explore some of the floors she didn't spend much time on. She hadn't realized there was a pool on this one and she drops down at the edge of it, amazed at how deep it is. ]

Wow...

[Nepeta glanced over her shoulder at the sound of the newcomer having arrived on the floor. Grinning, she picked up her hat from the ground, throwing it back on before approaching the girl.

This one looked different to her. She'd seen the humans and of course other trolls, but never anyone with green hair. Well, at least, not like Amalia's.]

It's purrty big, isn't it?

[ Amalia looks up at Nepeta and smiles widely. She seems to have no reaction at all to the other girl's appearance. ]

It is! I had no idea... it's like a whole lake.

It is! And it's reely deep too!

[Nepeta analyzed the girl, amused by her curiosity.]

Have you never come to this floor befur?

No, not really. I've gone up the staircase through it, but I've never stopped and looked around. I guess that what I saw from the stairs didn't look familiar to me.

I'm Amalia. What's your name?

I used to walk by it all the time too, until recently.

My name is Nepeta. It's nice to meet you Amalia!

Do you go swimming there? Isn't it a little bit frightening, being so far down?

Not at all! It actually reminds me of home!

[Nepeta pointed to her gills.]

I used to live in an ocean a lot bigger than this! And my gills helped me live underwater fur as long as I needed!

[ Amalia's eyes widen. ]

You can breathe water?

That's... that's so amazing!

Thank you! But I'm not the only one that can do that. Other trolls that were born with a blood color similar to mine can also breath underwater.

[Wow, that actually reminded her that she needed to find her friends sometime soon, let them know she was alright. But! There was time for that later. She was making a new friend after all!]

You don't look like any of the humans I've seen around. Can you do something special too?

[ she blushes a little ]

Well, sort of. I can control plants.

Whoa! That's purrty amazing!

Think you can show me sometime?

[It was amazing what some of the people in the Tower could do.]

Ah, sure! Maybe after this strange thing with the candy is over though...

[Nepeta nodded in agreement.]

Sounds like a plan. Did you need any candy? I have some left!

[ Amalia hesitates. ]

Are... are you sure? I know it's important for everyone to get some...

[Nepeta holds out her bucket, kindly saying:]

Go ahead! I don't have to wear a costume, so I'm just collecting it to help other people!

[ Amalia looks quite touched. ]

Thank you Nepeta... that's really nice of you. Is there anything I can do in return?

Well, there is one thing.

Just stay alive, ok?
