002 Tavros Nitram
Characters: [OU] Tavros Nitram and you.
Time: October 19th, evening
Setting: Anywhere in the halls
Format:I'll match you.
Summary: Not enough candy. At least he tried!
Warnings: Violence. Maybe character death with mun permission, of course.
[ The pain is excruciating.
It's no surprised since the tower decided to rip off his horns, leaving one forced through his skull and the other pierced in the center of his chest. He can only assume the logic behind such unnecessary cruelty is to keep his costume glued to his body, but he didn't care at this point. He didn't even care about the pain or the amount of blood he is losing with every slight movement. It didn't matter. Tavros had greater interests to attend to. You see- he is in desperate need to find someone to talk to. Anyone! Yeah, he felt like having a nice, long discussion involving the things he liked the most, and he'll be positively delighted if someone was kind enough to offer him their time.
Oh, and don't mind the fairly large lance he's dragging around. Tavros paid little attention to it, but it might come in handy in certain situations. Who knows?
Whatever.
He continues his search, getting a little restless at this point. ]

[Except... Tavros didn't really look the same as the last time Gamzee had seen him! He was wearing his Pupa Pan outfit, for one - something he wasn't aware the boy had been supplied with by the Tower. Not that he was complaining. The thought sent a stupid grin spreading all the way across his face. ...Until he finally got around to noticing a few more things. The boy had his own horns jutting out of his skull and chest - places Gamzee was... well, pretty sure they weren't supposed to be sticking out all crooked-like from.]
[So he paused, mid-wiggle, twisting his face into a supremely confused expression, trying to make sense of the whole sight - and failing miserably due to the copious amounts of toxins running through his veins and dribbling from his mouth and chin.]
Think you all were fucking to miss while being cuttin' that motherfuckin' nug fur yours, motherfucker! Maybe call up on a brother to get his help on out of you the next fuckin' time, yeah!? Hahahahahonk honk honk!
[He sputtered and honked through his teeth, now clenched to suppress the giggles trying desperately to escape. Yeah, he was so blown.]
no subject
Of all people, Gamzee is the last person he wanted to see for many reasons, and listing them all in his head was a total pain he didn't need right now. Speaking of pain, let's discuss the 'honking'. Too fucking loud! He could almost feel his head throbbing in agony with every little 'honk', making Tavros cringe visibly as the noise kept on coming like it's being drilled into his eardrums and- fuck! Has it always been this annoying? He couldn't tell, but damn ... he didn't want to hear it right now.
At least, Gamzee was trying to keep his mouth shut, something Tavros appreciated, but he's still a bit resentful of the highblood. Whatever, he could ignore it for now. And with a bright, yet questionable smile, he made his way closer. ]
Hey, Gamzee. It's been a while.
[ There's a bit of gruffness in his voice, it might have to do with all the blood filling up his lungs and the lack of oxygen. Seriously, how is he still alive? He shrugs it off, giving his brother a hopeful stare. ]
We should ... talk. [ Another step closer. ] Yeah, catch up and stuff. It's been a while, right? It's only fair we get to spend some time together. Heh. You seem well so we can totally skip the part where we ask how we've been, because it's kinda boring to be honest, and I have a more interesting topic we can discuss!
What you say, bro?
no subject
[He chuckled again, rocking on the balls of his feet. Well, sort of. One foot rocked away, the other one barely touched the ground in its attempts. Still sore as a motherfucking pair of freshly-squeezed tits, it all was. Right now, though, it didn't matter a bit. Curiosity gnawed away at him, sharp as ever.]
A brother be all fucking down to be getting our overlook on of some boring-ass motherfuckin' formalities in favor of what's to be being all up and fuckin' described by one hornless Pupa as things that are fucking more interesting, probably!
[The face-splitting grin is back, and he throws his arms open wide.]
But firstly, how's a motherfucker supposed to be gettin' his obligatory mother fucking brohug on when you all went to stick your fuckin' horn right there, bro!?
no subject
He stares down at chest, back to Gamzee and then down to his chest again. It's going to hurt like fuck, but he really couldn't deny a brother something as simple as a hug, not when he is still standing there with his arms hanging in the air. He mutters 'gimme a sec' before his hand reached to the grasp into the horn, gripping firmly, and then- he tried to move the fucking thing. Maybe try to rip it off his chest, but that didn't work for two reasons.
1. He didn't have enough energy and strength to support him.
2. Haha, it hurts like a motherfucker!
Okay, time for plan B. He takes a minute to catch his breath before looking at Gamzee. ]
You can do it, right? You're pretty strong, after all. Just ... make it quick and then we can get those brohugs started!
Gamzee x2 combo
He isn't any less homicidal, though. It's just the opposite, in fact. His eyes are dark and vacant and the way he limps and favors one leg only serves to raise the overall creep factor.
Then he catches sight of a familiar face, and some of that earlier confusion resurfaces - but is just as soon drowned out by anger at Tavros's appearance.
He'd spared the troll. How had he then allowed himself to die? And who was responsible for the maiming, so that he could return it double to them?
Gamzee stops and stares, swaying ever so slightly, rhythmically.]
doki doki
Out of impulse, his lips break into a wide grin, but- it didn't last since he was quick to remember how things went down between them last time, and the amusement is completely wiped out of his features. Gamzee allowed him to get out of it alive, but Tavros also remembered that he wanted to hurt him too. He didn't know what to feel about that, but- there's a part of him wanted to stop thinking about it, turn and just ... fucking walk away.
It would be nice if he took his own advice.
Instead, he's getting into a staring match with the other kid for an awkwardly long time. He then shrugged his shoulders slowly. ]
I couldn't find enough candy ...
no subject
He almost reaches out to touch him in curiosity, but stops himself. His touch would probably still stop the other from being able to speak and he'd rather hear Tavros for a bit first.
Then he stops in front of him and just glares. He isn't happy with you, bloody Pan.]
no subject
So, he really didn't need to feel this way, not when his mind is all fucked up, itching to have an excuse to start hurting others. ]
I tried!
[ It came out louder than expected because, for some reason, he couldn't stand the way Gamzee is looking at him right now. It made him angry, sad and ... a lot of other gross feelings. ]
I worked really hard ...
no subject
He can ignore the irritation caused by a regular speaking voice, though some are worse than others, but the moment they start raising it things get painful. It doesn't help that he was standing closer, either.
The boy winces and backs away, almost raising his hands to his ears but stopping himself part way.]
no subject
For now, he offers an apologetic smile- whether it was sincere or not, you can't tell. ]
... Sorry.
[ He keeps his voice low, and close to a whisper. ]
You can't tolerate loud noises, yeah?
no subject
Rather than give a straight answer, since it's kind of obvious really, he just shrugs his shoulders as if it isn't that big of a deal.
It is that big of a deal, but not everyone needs to know that. Having his head explode or something from too much of a cacophony would be a real mess.]
no subject
He figured now its an appropriate time to lighten the mood between them, and perhaps move into happier topics! There is no point in whining about their miserable situation, no good will come out of it, right? ]
Hey, bro. [ His smile couldn't get any bigger. ] Have you ever heard of fairies?
no subject
Though somewhat surprised by the question, Gamzee nods his head. He might as well play along for the time being.
He might try later anyway, but right now making an attempt to injure someone who was already fatally wounded and maimed didn't seem very productive.]
no subject
[ He looks horribly smitten, and if he had enough blood in his body, he would probably be blushing like a lovestruck fool! So he settled for a lazy grin for now, keeping his focus on the boy before him. ]
When I find their hiding spot, I will take you there. That's a promise, bro. I'm sure it will be all kinds of fun.
no subject
He gives his monster-bro two thumbs up. It's a date or something.
For the hell of it, he puts a hand to his brow and mock-scans the room, shrugging afterward. Nope, no fairies!]
no subject
Tavros scowls a little and shakes his head, waving a hand at the other. ]
No no, brother. I'm sure they are here. I know it. [ For reasons beyond his comprehension, he was getting pretty defensive and irritated. ]
Yeah, okay, I haven't seen one yet. But they're here. You ... believe me, don't you?
no subject
He gives a shrug, then nods his head. Yeah, okay. He believes you.]
no subject
Haha, I knew you'd agree with me. Human or not, you're still my best friend.
[ And then his smile turns somewhat bitter. ] ... I really hope you'd win this game, bro.
no subject
He tilts his head at the mention of a game, though. Is that what they're calling this? He lets out a silent sigh. He would have liked to have had a chance at winning it too, whatever that might entail.
Then he grins, for a moment forgetting himself, and holds out his fist for a fistbump.]
no subject
So, he goes for it, pressing their fists together and half-grinning at his friend. Suddenly, his body felt heavy and that weapon was slowly slipping from his fingers. Tavros let out a soft exhale, he then decided to settle on the ground, back pressed against the wall; blood everywhere.
He smiled up to Gamzee, patting the empty space next to him. ]
no subject
Of course there's still the whole matter of how he's living in the first place, but he's sure that's complicated.
He sits down, despite feeling the need to wander off and terrorize someone else.]
no subject
Shadow gives a hitched gasp and a flick of his ears in his direction, the look on his face nothing short of horrified... but then he freezes. This thing, whatever it is... it doesn't seem to be human. It's humanoid, natch, but it isn't quite like any human he has ever crossed in his life. There is no way it is human, this thing with the horns jutting out of some gruesome wounds.
He stands his guard as he sees the thing draw near, ears folding back against his skull, a sign of prepared aggression, should it be required. ]
no subject
A few easy steps brought him closer, and he crouched before him. ]
Woah! [ His lips curled up, muttering to himself. ] ... What are you?
no subject
A big ol' smile? Are you kidding me? The only times he ever smiles are when he's watching a plot unfold according to plan with the most sinister look a cute little hedgehog can muster. Yeah, it is kind of freaky, let alone unfitting for the situation at hand.
Instead, Shadow reacted with something more apt to his personality and less blatantly terrible, his expression characteristically stoic. ]
Another one who can't recognize a hedgehog when he sees one, I take it.
[ Yes, much better. No smiles to be had. ]
no subject
He talks !!!
Wait, he didn't even have to commune with him! Tavros' eyes snapped wide open, lips slightly parted, but thankfully, he didn't keep such a retarded expression for so long. He settles with a very skeptical scowl for now. ]
You're too big to be a hedgehog! And you, uh, talk and shit. [ Guess who spent some quality hours in a library studying the animal kingdom? This nerd right here.
He points an accusing finger at Shadow. ]
Don't lie to me. It's not nice, you know!
no subject
You are mistaken. You clearly have not done enough research to realize that there are two kinds of hedgehogs: smaller domestics and larger, humanoid wilds. Those are capable of speech and bipedal movement.
[ His lower eyelid twitched. He really didn't like being pointed at. ]
... Stop that.

" Heh, sorry about that, sis. I don't mind going to a ... bathtub. Whatever that is! Only if you promise that you'd stay long enough to have a decent conversation. You know, give and take. "
no subject
"Sure. If you'll hop in the swimming pool and stay there, I'll talk with you."
no subject
In the beginning it had been so easy to find himself the daily quota of candy, but it had become increasingly harder to managed as the days progressed. It was no doubt to him that in order to survive he needed to find candy, but being without a weapon and a painful stride in his step, stealing was a open he needed to consider. However, how could he? If he succumbed to such actions then he would be no better then the rage that harbored within him years in the future. Simply put he would not submit to such harsh actions.
In his trek he came across the younger troll and managed a soft smile at his presence. However something was off, Tavros didn't appear to be in good fortunes and the fact that their was ahorn through his chest only proved truth. ]
Tavros, are...are you alright?
[He managed to say as he inches closer to the troll.]
no subject
I mean- in normal circumstances, he would be utterly excited to be in the company of a troll he admired so highly. He was the first adult troll he ever spoke to, and he was so ... kind and gentle. Hell, it's no surprise that Tavros felt that he could trust him almost immediately, and all he ever wanted to do is to burden him with his pitiful problems. It was okay. Signless made it so easy to talk to him. It meant a lot to Tavros, and that's why he was seriously loathing himself when the older troll moved closer.
Why did he have to see him like this? Fuck.
He guides his free hand up; all pressed up against his face, and shoulders hunched forward- almost in shame. He then shook his head slowly in response to Signless' concern. ]
no subject
Tavros, we must...tend to your wound. It is fatal.
[Sure his statement was obvious and the possible internal bleeding that was a cause of his own dilemma was more dire, but Signless did not wish to focus on that. Tavros was in need more then he. Perhaps he could do something to help out the younger troll, even if it was hopeless he had to try.]
no subject
He shakes his head again, but forced himself to speak to time. ]
We can't ... fix this. It's okay, though! It, uh, hurts less now .... yeah.
[ A total lie. It hurts like fuck, but there is nothing he can do about it. Remove the horn and bleed to death, leave it and ... continue bleeding to death, but slower? He's not even sure, but Tavros hoped he'd die sooner than later, the pain was truly agonizing. He tries to forget about it for now, placing a hand over the one on his shoulder, smiling a little. ]
Don't worry about me! I'm okay ... well, I will be alright. It's just ... one of the tower's stupid games. Haha ...ha. [ He swallows, eyes on the ground now. ] It ... will end soon, right?
no subject
That is not a reason to give up Tavros. Even if the end is near, you should never give up and assume that is nothing left you can do. You want to try your hardest until the end. Do not tell me it will be over soon that is not the reality I wish to accept.
[A beat.]
Now, come. We must see what we can do for your situation.
no subject
Yo, broseph, you got something through your shirt.
no subject
You're that girl! [ Go ahead, make his day and mention you're another Strider. He won't flip out. Promise! He glanced down at his chest then back to Jade. ]
Uh, yeah. [ He shrugs. ] ... You wanna' touch it?
no subject
...Sure.
[And then she shifted her pumpkin and her fake shield to reach out one hand and poke at the giant horn going through Tavros' torso
and came to the conclusion that wow that sure was a fucking horn in his torso.]
In my professional opinion, you might wanna get that removed.
no subject
[The first thing Lancer notices is the lance...the second thing are the horns jammed in the child's body.]
Woah, kid, you alright?
no subject
But as foul as the sight is, he doesn't flee or attack. This is the Tower, and things are strange here, right? So instead he watches from behind that opaque mask of his and forces his voice calm to call out.*
Are you...still alive?
