October 21st (locked to Commander Shepard and possibly a sleepy Nanako)...
Yu had done his best to gather the materials necessary, to meet the quota and stop his costume from crushing him like it had for so many already. He truly did place the effort in it, yet in his frantic search and how much his head was throbbing from Izanagi's voice screaming at him to save everyone he could from the fate others had fallen victim to...
It was an order neither of them could follow. Not even for themselves.
So before it would inevitably crush him, he quietly placed what was left of his own (not enough.... it wasn't enough...) into Nanako's pumpkin. As long as he could do it, he would keep his promise to Dojima-san.... to his uncle. Lightly brushing the bangs from her face before turning around, he turned to the other person in the room he trusted... even if vaguely and mostly due to the word of a certain Geth.
"...I only have an hour left. After that, there's no telling what she'll cause to happen..." He hesitated, before looking to the commander a friend trusted and idolized. "Before that happens, I need to tell you something."
I'm sorry, Nanako...
Soon after he left Room 3-15, he is killed. On the plus side, he's no longer affected by Lelouch's absolute order! ...Oh wait, that could potentially be a bad... thing...

He awakened as usual for when someone died in this place. He could breathe fine, nothing seemed out of the ordinary as he waited for the paralysis to wear off...
That's when he noticed his face was no longer his. The mask was permanently attached to his face. He tried to rip it off, but that soon became less of an issue compared to what was in his chest. He knew the blade well; he'd been using it as a sort of walking stick and to fight with when he could not reach something with the bus stop sign. Yu gasped, realizing he was still... and his feet...

October 22nd - 28th...
He ran from the room, not daunted at all by the blades in his feet... he didn't know if it was actual running or if he was beginning to glide. Yu didn't care. He just wanted to be away from everyone, from this insatiable desire... he didn't want to kill. He'd continue running until someone stopped him or he reached the meadow and fell to his knees, the naginata still sheathed in his chest like a certain Shadow-Persona he recalled helping another tame... how he remembered his Magatsu Izanagi stabbing his Izanagi.
No... I can't. I won't-!
He held his head in his clawed hands for a brief moment before screaming. He couldn't... he wouldn't kill to satisfy this need-!
But he wanted to...
He's scared of himself, of how Thanatos warned him... yet he couldn't stop it from happening in a far-too-literal sense.

October 29th - 31st...
He's no longer hiding from the others. In fact, he's wandering freely as the others scatter and try to either keep themselves alive or have already succumbed. Yellow eyes stare at each and every one of them, and on the surface, he's given in... but internally, there is but one small voice still crying out as he's forced to watch.
Don't come near me...
Don't come closer...
I can't control myself...
Save yourselves...
Kill me...
Don't come near me...
Don't come closer...
I can't control myself...
Save yourselves...
Kill me...

Okay. He had to face the truth. Even if it meant putting on a confident act again, he... he would.]
Because I lost the game.
[And there was hell to pay. Yet if he could help it, Ruana would be one of those who ended up being one of them soon enough. They had only just been reunited... It wasn't fair...
'I don't want to hurt you, too... To let you see me fight what she'll do to me.']
But I'll come back once it's settled... I promise.

['No one else needs to know what I've been through. No one else deserves to go through this heartbreak.'
Little else is said, even as she gets up to take her guns and what little thermal clips she has left.]

Promise...

I promise.
[Never has he meant those words more, and quietly he whispers a song that he barely remembered from that party that seems so long ago. It's almost funny, how glad he is to remember something like this when he's so close to death...]
Set all your fears aside
Reveal what has grown through time
The Overcast falls behind
Then you'll find
'We're not alone,' softly she whispers
As out of control as this world seems to be
We're not alone...
[He pulls away slightly, gently placing a hand to her cheek.]
Even if she doesn't let you see me for a while... if you need help, I'll be there.
[Just so she isn't frightened by any sudden lightning bolts. He looks to Shepard, a certain look in his eye.
'Don't waste what little you have for me.']

I love you, onii-chan.

If he couldn't keep himself from dying, then he damn well will be sure to fight with everything his soul has against what they'll do to his body and mind.]
I love you too, imouto-chan.
[...It's time to let go.]

The mask comes off one last time, so she can see his smile. There's nothing but warmth behind it. Even with all the mistakes he's made and the horrors he's survived thus far, it hasn't dimmed the light coming from his soul by much. he only wishes that he could stay by her side for just a while longer.
'I'll come back. I promise.'
With one last grateful look to the commander, he stands again. Even though it was hard, Yu walked out the door with the mask firmly clutched in his hand.
The fact his sister was safe for one more day was the only thing that kept his head held high as he faded from view.]

So he gets a quiet shake of the head from the commander even as he starts to turn away, her eyes all but saying what she has on her mind.
'I wouldn't be a good soldier, if I didn't care for everyone that I could.'
She honestly wishes she could have been of better help, but...at this point, it's probably better if she doesn't try to make it any worse...so that leaves Nanako. She'll go over to the poor girl now to stay by her, watchful of the other two occupants.]

...stay safe, onii-chan...

Whatever happens to him... he really hopes and prays she'll never have to see that horror. Yet knowing his luck so far, she more than likely will.
... ... ...
So many thoughts are circulating in his mind as he takes the elevator down, then finds himself pausing on the 22nd floor. How odd, that he finds himself stopping to stare at the artwork as his grip tightens around the metal in his hand.
The kotodo... Most of his class remembered that story well, but now he feels it; the pain those words of separation caused.
How ironic that it was in front of this painting where words of forgiveness were shared.
He fell to his knees as it grew harder and harder for him to breathe. Yet as he did, he remembered something their grandmother had mentioned when one of the stray cats he'd been taking care of suddenly went missing: When cats perceive that their life is nearly over... they leave on their own and wait for the end.
After looking over so many of them before in various places, it's almost funny how he picked up a few habits from them all. This just happened to be one of them.
He already knew what it was like to die. Frankly, the question of "does it hurt" can't even come to mind right now. What did come to mind was "What's going to happen to me, now?"
Would they be able to handle whatever became of him? Would he be able to stop himself from following whatever desire would be 'programmed' into him this time? What consequences would there be for those actions, and could he deal with them?
Once again, his fear for the (somewhat/mostly) innocent souls of this place outweighed the fear of his own mortality...yet as he waited for the moment he was unable to breathe, he could feel the coils of Kohryu wrapping around him tight. Part of him wishes he didn't as he knelt there in the gallery, isolated and alone in the quiet.
'I'm sorry, oji-san... I couldn't keep my promise.'
A tear fell as he felt the presence grow silent. One by one, the eleven other voices in his mind quieted down as the costume of Izanagi crushed him more and more. He couldn't move, could barely breathe...
Nanako... Izanami... everyone... forgive me...
He died where the twin gods reunited. There, in his god's fading arms.]
