[ Because she's waiting and already is starting to lose her patience. ] Grr... where are they?

Guess they got scared and ran off?
[He pushes further into the hedge maze. Though he can't see the speaker, he's got a bit of a idea about the situation. She's young, and probably more than a bit warped by her costume. Going by her voice and the scant drifts of scent he can catch, he's definitely met her before, though he's not sure as to where. She's most likely alone...and scared.]
You're alone in there, aren't you?
[He places a hand on his stomach, suddenly not sure if he should continue pushing forward. His costume-related death had left him with a horrible case of hunger. In his state, he might see the girl as prey more than anything else.]

Why? Are you going to suddenly feel sorry for me? [ A scoff. ] I recognize your voice, you know. That man who wants to kill me.
I won't let you.

[It's true. He does feel a certain amount of pity for her. He would with anyone who had been warped and tied to life by their costume; not even death could be their release. And this girl especially reminds him of Misaya.]
Even if I felt it for you, you won't want it, right?
[If it was Misaya, then she would've started to throw rocks at him by now.]
And no, I don't want to kill you. Not anymore. All I want to know is...
[Any pity he felt was already being buried under anger. Anger at the Servant who had failed to protect his Master. Anger at the Servant who, in the light of his failure, was now off in some unknown location instead of doubling his efforts. Even worse, Rin had said that her Servant was very much like Lancer himself. Therefore, Lancer couldn't forgive a man who chose this course of action.]
Where your incompetent fucker of a Servant is!
[He was going to find Rin's Lancer, break his limbs, and drag him back to his Master's side.]
