[ She wants to ask why didn't he ask for help, but Yukiko's smarter than that. She knows that their leader could never do anything of that nature or else he risks looking weak. Glancing down at the pumpkin in her opposite hand, it's almost worth throwing away in order to join alongside him as penance for failing to protect him.

Pushing out that selfish thought (she won't be caged by her own faults), she lowers the shield that stands between his visage and her eyes, resting it along her nearly bare leg. ]

I should have forced myself to show up sooner. [ There's a bit of self-loathing along with her fear of failing him and it shows in every word she speaks. ] I allowed my fears to hold me back and now you're...

[ What is he? Not even Yukiko can answer that question and it leaves her more frightened than the sight before her. ]

[Not to mention part of him wanted to die so that whenever this event was over he would be free from that little suggestion... Odd how it's that order that is what ultimately led to his falling victim to this sick and twisted game in the first place. (Also if he knew what she were thinking, he would be verbally scolding her because it was his mistakes, not hers.)

The d-dead! [ It bursts out of her once the mental dam has been breached, leaving the horror to flow out into her features fully. ] Just what are you saying? That you're dead?

[ Remember, she hasn't quite had the pleasure of seeing the dead return to life 'normal' as can be, save for the scars of the incident on their mind. So when he says that, it's a scenario she wishes desperately to undo. ]

That's not fair! They can't just kill you and force you into this state! I can't sit here and allow that to be the way your life ends!

[ It's rare, this side of her, but once her conviction wins her over? There's no going back. She's angry, rightfully so, at an unknown source for inflicting this upon someone so dear to her. ]

[He knows. He knows and it almost physically hurts him to see her like this when there was nothing he could do to change it. Nothing but fight the insanity that was tearing him apart inside, which is a feat in and of itself. He'd been gone for two days now, and it was quite literally all thanks to being able to once hear others' Personas that he was able to even withstand this long.
