Format: Prose or action is fine!
Summary: Sasuke, partially transformed into a bright-orange youko, is slowly giving into his animal instincts to feed on human energy. Feel free to volunteer to be attacked or killed!
Warnings: Violence, most likely.

[He had to stop. He had to... he had to isolate himself. He had to get himself away from people... He had to...]

[...He had to feed. He was hungry. Fuck, he was hungry, and people had the food he needed, he was sure of it.]

[ooc: Hey guys! Things have been hectic this week; sorry about lack of tag-backs and the lateness of this post! Tags are coming soon, I promise!

Sasuke was killed by his costume last week. Per the mods:
[[[Sasuke's skin has been replaced with fox fur. It appears he once had a tail that was cut off; however, anyone who can see energy or magic will see he has at least one tail at all times, sometimes more.

Sasuke will want to gather and absorb energy--as he does so, his number of tails will increase, until he has nine. Unfortunately, he needs to gather energy from those around him, and doing so will kill them. He will have to drain a person fully to gain a new tail. Once he has nine tails he will have the urge to burn off all the energy by attacking anyone or anything who draws near until he returns to having only one tail.]]]

If anyone wants to die or at least be hurt by him, he's going to be stalking every floor of the tower trying to quell his hunger. He's not at all in his right mind, even if he is trying to fight the need to kill. I'm also happy to backdate any attacks to earlier in the week or postdate them to next week!]

I wonder if this is what Naruto feels like half the time.

[A pause, and the voice changes just slightly, losing just a bit of growl, gaining a hint of sadness.]

[And that's one eyebrow going up. Kankuro's not too familiar with Naruto, but he knows how Gaara would feel about a similar comparison, and the answer is 'not too good.' Those sad last words do mollify him, though.]

I doubt Naruto spends much time at all running around with fur, so you're probably safe on that count. Think this is all you.

[Sasuke scoffs, the sound laced with a fox's hiss.]

Not that.

[He eyes the other, stepping slowly, cautiously closer. Gauging.]

...I don't feel at all like myself. [The admission is low, quiet. After a beat, he adds,] Inside. I don't... I don't feel.

[He looks at Kankuro more closely, and something glints in his eyes.]

Sane.

[Wow. This is so many levels of not good Kankuro can't even begin to enumerate them all. But the glint in Sasuke's eye, the hiss in his voice, and the threat and tension gathering around him feel, in a crazy way, all too familiar -- too much like the Old Gaara, the one from before the invasion of Konoha.

He takes a step back, giving ground; he doesn't dare look over his shoulder for the best avenue of retreat, not yet -- that kind of gesture is too submissive, in a purely animal sense. He keeps his gaze on Sasuke, carefully not quite his eyes.]

Maybe you should have a medic check that out, then.

[The words are more flippant than anything else.]

Or at least a date with a razor.
