001 { howling in the dead of night }

Characters: Koromaru and you, good sirs and madams!
Setting: All around the tower, starting in room 3-04.
Format: Starting in prose, but I'll match your preference.
Summary: Puppy did not have a good few weeks in the tower. Why all his friends either not here or acting strangely? :(
Warnings: Possible omg cute while everything else goes to hell pfffffffffffffffft.

The last three weeks have been very confusing for the humans he's seen, and even more so for the canine that awakened in a strange room with three strange people he didn't know. Though, they did seem to be okay... and running into Chie-san wasn't too bad, either!

But... where were his friends?

He couldn't really put his own collar on by himself (we do not count the one he awoke with, it doesn't do the same thing), so he carried it in his mouth for a while, unless someone was kind enough to put it on him. Really, he looked kind of down about it as he began searching every floor for any sign of them being alright.

Probably didn't help that the last thing he saw was one of his closest friends flying up to the moon on his own as they cried out for him...

How strange. Well, all he really knew to do was to get this thing out of this dog's mouth, but he knew to proceed with caution. He could easily overpower any average dog, but for one, he didn't want to deal with the minor annoyance of a bite wound. Secondly, there may be more to this canine than meets the eye.

Shadow slowly reached a hand down and wrapped a thumb and forefinger around the collar in Koromaru's mouth, dangling it loosely between his fingertips. He'll use that to gauge the pup's reaction, and then he'll go from there.

He had to wonder... Would the dog mind wearing two collars at once? Hm. It seemed to want it if he was still carrying it around, so maybe so. He'd just have to find out.

Well Shadow, be glad that he is a kinder and more gentle dog (also very curious about how a hedgehog got to be so big and could speak the same language as humans. Seriously, how do you do that?). He opened his mouth a little, letting him take it. Though, it would be a headache having to try and call him on his own should he just up and steal it. But then, who else would have a use for it? It was just another collar to most.

Apparently not minding the thought, really. He barked, curious still. Do you like the collar his friends gave him, Mr. Hedgehog?

Ah, good, so the dog wasn't about to get vicious. Shadow smirked, silently slipping it from the dog's jaws and reaching around his neck with what seemed to be just an average accessory. Normally, he didn't behave so pleasantly, but this was just a domestic creature, an innocent and uncommunicative (in English speaking, of course) puppy dog. He had little reason to hide his small caramel center unless someone decided to come around the corner and notice them, something he sincerely doubted. This tower was huge. They'd likely not be seen.

He fastened the collar perfectly around Koromaru's neck, not too tight at all. It was still a bit strange to see a dog with two collars on, but it was also oddly... cute.

"There."

He reached his hand back up to ruffle at the fur on his head. What a pleasant and docile little guy. He kind of reminded him of a Chao with his gentler demeanor.

Well, there could be moments of that happening, but his nose didn't pick up any other scents in close vicinity other than ones that had been here before and left. ...Why does he smell several Death, anyway?

He barked a thank you that would likely not be understood, and Cerberus really wasn't someone who could speak for him except via a very skilled 'commlink' (he tried). He 'smiled' at the fur ruffle. A little rougher than what the team had given him, but he didn't mind it.
