Musical Interlude [Closed]
Who: Sona Buvelle and Kyoko Sakura
Where: Sona's room!
What: Looking for candy to pilfer, Kyoko ends up finding a musician and the two share an all too brief calm moment together.
Warnings: None!
[With the madness going on in the tower and no particular urge to put herself in harm's way - respawn or no respawn - Sona's spent her time trying to stay relatively low key. It's difficult, especially when it's hard for her to stay quiet all day. It's one of those strange facts of life, that it's incredibly difficult for the mute to stay quiet, but that was just her life. A day without music really wasn't a day at all, but a prison sentence]
[So it's no surprise to anyone that knows her when the Etwahl is in front of her and she's strumming lightly. Though she tries her best to keep the sounds soft and muted, she can't help it if they at least echo around the room, and the soothing melody helps to put her nerves at ease.]
[Good thing there's absolutely no chance of her being disturbed]
[Nope]
[No chance at all]

Kyoko isn't above stealing and she certainly wouldn't choose to sacrifice her own life for a strangers. Still, at times like this it's perferrable to steal from those who'll no longer need it--or just from those stupid enough to leave things laying around. She hopes the dorms will prove useful for this--there will always be those who mistake a room for a hiding place, not to mention residents who will choose to die in the comfort of their own room.
She pushes the door to Sona's room, forgetting to check if it's occupied. Kyoko pauses at the sight of Sona, but only for a second. She remembers this girl.]
Yo.
[Stepping inside as if she owned the place, brimming with confidence, she places her heel on the door before slamming it shut. She'll stop here for a bit.]
Didn't think I'd be running into ya again so soon. Still making music, I see.

[The songstress nods excitedly at her question, and in one swift stroke the melody abruptly changes - this one bursting with magical power as a green aura begins to emanate from the instrument. A calming wave washes over the both of them, and though Kyoko hardly looks injured for the wave to do much good, it at least feels calming, relaxing. Gotta love that Aria of Perseverence]
[Once her impromptu healing concert has started, she takes a moment to motion Kyoko over to the bed - if she's going to be here, she might as well sit down and relax! Right?]

Ya don't say much, do ya?
no subject
[It's not much. Sona knows that. But any comfort she can provide in this prison with her music?]
[She's damn well going to provide it]
no subject
Heh. I'm a little jealous, y'know. Ya give me an instrument and all I can do is bang on the keys. I never had time for that kinda thing, y'know.

[And so in the span of about a minute, Kyoko gets a musical timeline of Sona's time as a musician. She starts with dissonant mashing on the chords with no rhyme or reason, then to playing single strings at a time. Then she starts connecting notes together to form basic melodies. From there, simple chords, and then slow and basic melodies. From those to slightly more complex ones, and from there she begins to transition into intricate melodies - and it's only after there that she plays a chord which releases another burst of magic, that green aura re-appearing]
[It's like watching her go from five to twenty something in 90 seconds]

[... but then again...]
[She gets a devilish grin on her face and stands, going to her chest of goods and popping it open. Before taking anything out though, she looks at Kyoko and puts her hands over her eyes in demonstration - no peeking!]
no subject
Sure, I'll play along. Just don't pull out a anything weird outta that box of yours, okay? This tower's played enough tricks lately. Really pisses me off.
[She closes her eyes though, placing her hands over them for good measure.]

[Finally, there's the sounds of snapping, and after that a strum of strings... that sound suspiciously closer to a keytar than the harp like sound they normally make. It's the cue for Kyoko to open her eyes, and what does she see?]
[Sona, in her band outfit, throwing up the horns with what look like modifications on her instrument. And the hair?]
[The Etwahl's magic has many uses]
no subject
Now?
[She drops her hands, shifting slightly to look at Sona. For a moment, the teenager isn't able to hide her surprise. It was obvious that Sona had been changing clothes, but this was a pretty big switch. And the hair...a wig? or maybe an illusion? Ah, who cares. Still, Kyoko regains herself quickly enough, smirking.]
You're not gonna tell me you're in a rock band now, are ya? Ya never struck me as the type to be into that sorta thing, y'know.
[Of course, most people wouldn't peg Kyoko as enjoying religious hymns, so perhaps they're even.]

[But edge or not, she's still just Sona, and after a moment of turning around and modeling herself, she sits back on the bed next to Kyoko. She doesn't really think being in Pentakill is all that surprising - not when she's a part of the League of Legends and fights on the fields of justice - but that's one concept that's a bit difficult to convey in song and pantomime]
[Instead after a few moments she reaches over and grabs the paper and pen she keeps close to her bed. It's hardly her preferred method of communication, but she's not so stubborn that she can't realize when she's hit a limit on how far a conversation can go. And then...]
Are you okay?
no subject
Sure, just about to die from shock. Didn't expect ya to be into that kinda thing, but ya pull off that look pretty well. [A beat.] Why? Do I look like something's wrong?
no subject
[She gestures around them - to the tower in general - before putting a finger to her head and doing the 'crazy' gesture. The tower can make anyone a little nuts, and with things going on now? The monsters, the candy, and all the extra craziness?]
[Look she's just worried! And it shows on her face]
no subject
Ah, that. I guess ya wouldn't get it, since they didn't include ya in the festivities. They shoved a bunch of people in these goofy-looking costumes--[She pulls on her witches hat for show.]--and if ya don't collect enough candy, they just go ahead and kill ya. That makes you laugh, huh? Offing people over something like that. 'Course, nobody really dies here, y'know.

[Sona lets out a sigh and nods at Kyoko's last statement, her shoulders slumping. Hell, Sona's even used to dying and coming back multiple times (not that she's fond of it). Still, even so, she wants to do something to help]
[So whatever use it is, she resumes playing on her Etwahl. It sounds different with the mods applied to it, of course, but that soothing melody is the same. She can at least try and calm down her new friend, for whatever it's worth]
no subject
[Kyoko doesn't bother excluding herself from that equation. She's still alive because she let people die and she knows it, but while she doesn't take pleasure in that fact, she's realistic enough to know that they would've died either way. Besides, she had to look out for herself, first and foremost. She looks to Sona.]
The same goes for me, y'know. I'm still alive cause I only have to worry about myself.
no subject
[And so she writes one more message on the pad - whether it's playful or defiant, who knows?]
Then it's good I'm not involved - I can help whomever I wish
no subject
Heh. So that's how's gonna be, huh? Well, just don't do anything stupid that you'll regret.
no subject
I'm used to dying
[It's strange to put it in writing - even stranger than thinking it - but it doesn't make it any less true. Still, Sona gets the feeling that dying in this tower will still be far less pleasant than the many ways she's died back home. Best not to think about it for now, and just wait and see what happens]
no subject
[There's a flash of annoyance. She'll throw others under the bus to save herself, but that doesn't mean she she'll tolerate somebody just throwing their life away, reviving or not.]
Death's not the worst thing they'll do to ya here either.
