Characters: Izanami and YOU!
Setting: The graveyard
Format: Starting in commentspam, but I will shift!
Summary: Izanami is a goddess of death. It's only natural she care for the graves that have appeared.
Warnings: Izanami is her own warning.
[A graveyard. Perhaps it's only natural she care for it. She can't serve as the goddess of Yomi here, but she can make sure the graves remain tended. So she's slowly making her rounds today, humming an old song as she dusts off graves and disposes of any dead and withered flowers brought up from the meadow floor. She's easily approachable, and may even seem like a ghost with her pale coloring! Do you dare approach?]

The singing catches her notice, and when she sees the woman, Juliet rises, drifting closer until she can observe what she's doing.]
You sing beautifully. I'm sure they appreciate it.
LET'S GET THIS STARTED.
I do not doubt it. Though I suppose a lullaby isn't something you should sing for those who have passed.

[That was why death had a human face, wasn't it? Not some grim reminder of your mortality but someone who could be the stranger on the street. Someone who could be there.]

I do not think there are souls left to wander in fear. Simply an old woman trying to comfort herself in her work.
[Speaking of, she'll be tending to another grave now. Just her hands and none of the skeletal ones.]
'
[She can't place what this woman is, but she's not human, that much is clear. Juliet trails behind a little, trying not to intrude but genuinely curious.]

[And as if to emphasize the point, some of the rot creeps up into her face for a brief moment before she is once more normal. She does so enjoy seeing people's reactions to that.]

It'd be rude to ask for a lady's true age, so I shall simply say it's a pleasure to meet you.

A pleasure to meet you as well. I am Izanami. And you?

[she remembers, it was in one of the books that was around the house, she loved reading books like that and had read it every now and then, and it pings just like memories did
she realises she must look a fool with the expression of shock she knows she's wearing, and instead she pulls herself together enough to bow her head, feeling a bit unworthy and somewhat embarrassed because of the way she greeted her. She deserved more respect than that if she was who Juliet thought.]
Lady Izanami. I am Juliet Sutcliffe. Please forgive my rudeness.

[Though color her amused, because she's never seen someone react with such respect--almost as if she were a queen!]

And eventually she does, managing to string together a sentence.]
Reapers have always been taught to have respect for those they may act on behalf of.

[Which is kind of the point. Also, Juliet, you are so adorable. Izanami will gesture, though, for Juliet to walk with her. She has much to do.]

[She's following if you'll let her! Oh gosh let her help or something. ]
So I am left without a duty to attach myself to.
