A new mission? (backdated to the 12th)
Characters: Enoch and anyone
Setting: Floors 3, 17, and 19, Nov. 12
Format: Doesn't matter!
Summary: Enoch seems to have a purpose to his reading! Also, a Prize Pod.
Warnings: Guts. A Bullfairy in extreme pain as usual.
Floor 3: 9:00 AM
Enoch isn't idly reading or checking terminals (well, he may make a quick text postthat will probably disappear.), this time, his reading seems to serve a purpose, albeit one he could never utilize in a thousand years, to look at him. He has a notebook and pen with him, as if to take notes. On top of that, each and every book he has is about espionage, for some reason. There is an imp's corpse at his feet. He's not letting those things transform.
A bullfairy is flying around him, bellowing in the pain of using its wings. Eventually, Enoch reaches out and grasps it, cradling it to his chest in one arm while he reads with the other. It struggles at first, but then it realizes that as long as it's held, it doesn't hurt as much. The little monster quiets down and lets Enoch read, taking a much-needed break. Every so often you might catch Enoch petting the little thing while he rests his eyes.
Floor 3: 12:00 PM
This lasts for roughly three hours before the bullfairy starts struggling again. Confused, hesitant, Enoch releases it, and, in pain again, it circles around him before flying off downstairs. Enoch looks at his pile of books, then at the direction of the stairwell the little thing went to. With a sigh, he grabs three of the books and goes to the terminal to make an addendum to his post, to let people looking for him know he's going up to the nineteenth floor.
And, of course, the post has vanished. He tears an empty piece of paper out and writes To those seeking me out: I have gone to the nineteenth level. -Enoch.
Floor 17
Enoch would normally move right past this floor. The bloody handprints and screaming, while always present, were not any less unsettling. But there was something else here this time. Something black and round, something hovering in the air.
A Prize Pod! And no other monsters around to stop him! Of course Enoch wasn't going to pass up a chance to potentially help out someone who had tried the restaurant, and he, lacking the free hands to take out his Arch, jumped up to smack it with the books he was carrying. It worked just as well...but he had no more luck with this Prize Pod than with his first encounter with one, and he found himself with something's intestines draped over his head and shoulders.
Stiffly, he dropped the books and pulled the stuff off, his hair, skin, and armor still streaked red. With a frustrated noise, he picked up his books and walked back to the stairs, looking none too pleased.
Floor 19
The blood had dried to brown at this point, and there are hand- and fingerprints in his books from where he'd continued reading before it had dried. The books he'd picked up on the third floor had been joined by a thicker book, one simply titled "Steganography".
It was a wonder he'd been undisturbed by monsters, bloodied like that from the Prize Pod. It probably had to do with the blood smears on the far wall - Enoch had tried to wipe his hands clean and create some kind of decoy. Or maybe he was just that lucky.

She's just gonna follow you to every floor till the 19th, lol
Di really hoped he was ok...
Finally reaching floor 19, she gives a sigh of relief upon seeing him, even though he is clearly a mess. She takes out a clean towel of her's and walks towards him.
"Enoch, do you need a towel?
Sorry it took me so long to get to this! School kicked my ass for a couple days straight...
"How-..." He realizes as he speaks that of course she knows his name, he signed that paper, and she must have put two and two together. And if it wasn't that, it was the video posts on the network where he's given his name. So instead he reaches out to take the towel and try to clean up the dried blood as well as he could. "Ah...thank you."
That's ok! Everybody has lives and it's the holidays. I completely understand <3

A heart was something he could catch fairly cleanly, at least, but intestines, not so much.
no subject
"That sounds like awful luck you have. We should try finding a body of water for you to get clean in."

"But if you do not mind, then do you care for me waiting alongside you? I could keep you entertained while you wait!"
no subject
He cleared some books away from the seat beside him. "I wouldn't mind."
no subject
"Still...you never know with the demons and mysterious creatures amongst here. Why, their blood may give off random poisonous toxins! Or they may give you different harmful side-effects."

Floor 3: 9:00 AM
Curious, chaos cautiously walked through the library until he found the where those two things were. There, near some terminals, was a man surrounded by espionage books. The man held what looked like a small bull with wings. A dead monster lay at his feet. Well, while this was strange, chaos had dealt with many odd sights during his life. He could deal and learn about more.
"Good morning. Pardon me, but what is it that you are holding?"
no subject
"It's...the only creature here I know of that is completely harmless. The poor things look like they were subjected to Jason's whims as a whole..."
no subject
"That is terrible..hopefully someone can stop him soon and put an end to his whims."
As he spoke, an idea popped into chaos's head. He couldn't cure the poor beast. His powers were too limited for that. But he could provide some relief for an hour or two.
"If you don't mind..may I hold it? And..if you're trying to write a secret note, lemon juice sometimes works."
no subject
"Lemon juice?"
Oh, right...he shifts to offer the bullfairy without jostling it too much. It's clear the thing's legs, much too slender for its body, are broken, and the wings are not attached naturally.

chaos then turned his attention back to the man. Perhaps he did not know what a lemon was. Smiling at the thought of another old being in the Tower, chaos walked through the shelves, picked out a book on fruits, and walked back to the man. Still cradling the creature in one hand, chaos put the book on the table and flipped through it with the other, until he came to the page on lemons.
"There you are. That should help. After seeing all your espionage books, I thought you might like a way to write secret messages. Lemon juice is good for that. If you write something with it and wait for it to dry, the message will turn invisible until you apply some heat to the paper." chaos explained.
"However, I do apologize if I was making the wrong assumptions."
no subject
He looked up at chaos again. "Thank you." But then he tilted his head. "There is much more in here than writing secret messages. Why did you assume that I've gathered these books for that, exactly?"
no subject
"These are espionage books. You're planning on using them for something, and part of sneaking around and learning things is using a code or secret messages so that the enemy can't detect you." This was a bit of a half-truth, but chaos was sure the man would believe it.

"You the one that left that message on the network?" She asked as she caught sight of Enoch, approaching him briskly.
It's okay!
"I am. Are you one of the ones who was addressed by it?" He hadn't met this particular Puella Magi before. Why were there always more than he thought...the poor things.
no subject
She wondered idly just how many there were here that she didn't know about, then pushed the idea away. No Witches here to fight over, so it didn't really matter.
no subject
"Mm. Do you know Sayaka? It was through her I learned of...your situation. I purified her Soul Gem for her." He looked up at her now, a look of concern on his face. "Does yours need purification? That was why I asked about all of you..."

"It's better I tend to all of you than for you to suffer."
no subject
"Is that so? Sounds like a pretty useful ability to have around here. So, what's the catch? Ya gotta want something in return for that sorta favor."
