This Is A Joke, Right? | Open
Characters: Sam Winchester [
xbludjunkie] and EVERYONE!
Setting: The dorms
Format: Whichever, don‘t cur. I'll match it.
Summary: Sam just woke up, and he's pretty confused. Prepare for interrogation if you approach.
Warnings: PG-13 for language maybe.
Waking up in a unfamiliar room wasn't alarming. Blank walls and laying on an uncomfortable bed? Yeah, that was pretty normal. See, he was used to traveling from motel room to motel room with his brother, so his initial response was to roll out of bed and start getting ready; either to go get caffeination and wake his previously mentioned brother up, or try getting ready while avoiding the walking embodiment of a health hazard that was his brother.
Except then he remembered he had fallen asleep at Bobby's yesterday, and that he so hadn't fallen asleep in these clothes.
No really, what in all of Hades was he wearing?
Panic? Nah, Sam didn't panic. He hunted things that made nightmares pale and fidgety, and so was kind of over the whole panic thing. He was a little anxious to figure out how he got here though. Immediately he got out of the bed to look around, noticing three very important things right out of the gate. One, he obviously wasn't alone since there were other beds here, two, he obviously hadn't come here on his own because he didn't pack via trunk. (Duffel bags; they were easily accessible and you could grab 'em on the go. Much better than a trunk), and three, there was unfamiliar weight on his neck.
Sam reached up to scratch at it and he hit something cold and definitely not skin, successfully distracting him from any further searching of clues about how he got here. Nope, still no panicking, but Sam did furrow his eyebrows in confusion as he ran his fingers along the thing, trying to feel it out.
... was that a collar?

It wouldn't be any fun if things were simple. Not that this was fun, but you know the saying.

Sam sat down on the bed again. Or his, he supposed. "So, how long have you been here?"
Yes, a question for info. But it was more casual than necessary. He wanted to try getting along with his room mates if he was staying here indefinietly.

"For the basic crash course for this tower remember that food is on the first floor, anything in between where we are and that floor varies between normal to non-nonsensical." It was the most basic way to explain this place, or so he thought.
no subject
"How many floors are there anyway?" And he was gonna play the confused stranger, even if Sam had a feeling he knew what Charles was talking about. "And what do you mean nonsensical?"
... did I really type non-nonsensical? Wow self.
"There is a floor with a glassless aquarium. I can vouch for this myself. Other floors have a maze, a library, a pool. I was told one had ghosts." And he motions lightly with a hand.
"Strange and makes little to no sense. Such odd things mixed between what one would consider normal. And then you have to ponder how these things even exist."

Then Sam picked out something else that made him look taken aback. "Glassless aquarium?" Right. He knew something was off with the tower.
And no, ghosts didn't really surprise him. Though he did look slightly annoyed. So he had to take care of ghosts on top of whatever brought him to the tower.
"Or fit," Sam added. Because really, how could a maze fit into a tower? And, considering the circumstances, he was willing to bet that it was probably one of those big impossible mazes too

"That is a valid point. Trying to make sense of everything would most likely involve a headache, and I'm in no mood for that at the moment. It would be better if we could ask the makers of the tower directly, but that doesn't seem to be an option." Or more they won't answer. So he's been told, not that he won't try at some point. Not trying would be foolish after all.

"I'm pretty sure there's got to be a history book or something about this place," Sam replied, "so if whoever brought us here doesn't want to talk, then we'll just have to find the answers ourselves that way."
no subject
"You know that's not a half bad idea. And it already sounds like you're planning on checking it out, yes?"
no subject
"Yeah," Sam replied to Charles' question, "and ASAP." If it had a chance at giving him a lead of any kind, then he had to try it. No ands, ifs, or buts.

Honestly, he wouldn't mind the help, because he had heard about the computers being useless and without internet that meant he had to research the long way. Not that it really downhearted him, but without help that research took days.
And it's not like Sam had to worry about Charles being a civilian and being innocent. He was already involved with the tower, so whether he knew anything about hunting or not probably wouldn't affect his safety in the slightest.
Alright then. "Sure."
Of course, Sam probably would have helped if Charles asked him to take him one floor down. Yeah, part of it was Bobby. Mostly it was because Sam also knew that adventure without help would end 99.9% badly. "Thank you."
I do apologize for being the slowest thing in existance.
It would be a learning experience no matter what.
"I should thank you really. I've been meaning to go to the library, but now I have a good reason."
