Dorms

[Tetra had woken up a couple weeks ago with her moms jacket folded neatly on the top of her trunk. She'd been spending the entire time since then just laying with it as her blanket or just trying to wear it, despite how much larger it was than her. Now though, she'd gotten the idea that Zelda might like it. Her princess dresses always seemed so chilly and her mom had never gotten cold with this jacket, that she could remember. So, off to Zelda's room!]

Library

[Here, Tetra could be found curled up really snug on a comfy chair with a story book in her lap. It looks like she might be falling asleep though, mostly because she'd been there most of the day.]

Try it...? Oh, no, I could not do that. It is your mother's! I could not take that away from you...

[She stands on Zelda's bed, holding onto the jacket still.]

An' she's related t'you too. So it's okay! An' she'd want you to have it. I just know it.

[She doesn't look so sure. She frowns a bit, her brows furrowing, but she relents ever so slightly.]

... Are you absolutely certain you wish to give this to me?

Definitely! It's kinda thick so you'll be warm. And rain and water don't get through very easily. Might smell a little like the ocean though.

[Come on, come on! Try it on, ancestor!]

I would not know what an ocean smells like...

[Closest thing she has in her time is a freshwater lake. In any case, she can see Tetra will not be deterred until she tries the thing on, so... she does.

It doesn't quite fit her perfectly; she's a bit too skinny to fill it out all the way, but it's close enough. Once it's on, she looks at Tetra for approval.]

It's the best smell ever.

[She gleefully watches Zelda try it on and then claps when it's on. A moment later, she throws herself at Zelda for a hug.]

It's perfect.

Like salt...

[She mutters quietly to herself in regards to the smell. Like salt, and something she can't put her finger on...

Of course, those thoughts are all instant discarded when she suddenly finds herself with an armful of pirate princess. And... she can't help but smile warmly, though not without a touch of sadness as she returns the embrace, petting the girl's hair gently.

Tetra must miss her mother.]

If you say so, then. I suppose that means you wish for me to keep it?

Uh huh. I have a bottle with ocean water in it if you want to see it.

[She just nuzzles against Zelda for now. There were times, like right now, that Tetra really did miss her mother. After all, she taught tetra how to be a pirate and her crew was there because of Tetra's mother.]

Yeah, I think it'll be more useful if you have it.

No, no, that is all right.

[She doesn't really see how a simple bottle of water would help her non-existent frame of reference, anyway. Still, wrapping her arm around Tetra, she takes a seat on the bed, holding the girl close in her lap. She'll stay there for as long as Tetra wants her there.]

Very well. I will do my utmost to keep it clean and undamaged.

Alright, if ya say so~!

[She'll just relax there awhile. Later on, she'll go back to being a tough pirate and do a few things that Zelda would clearly disapprove of but not now. Family bonding was fun too.]

Don't worry about, mom got it pretty dirty all th'time.

[Suddenly she's wondering just what she's covered herself in. but that's not the kind of thing you ask a girl who's missing her mother, so instead...]

What kind of things did she do?

[Blood, guts, tears... Okay no, they obviously cleaned it after the last time Tetra's mom wore it since inconsolable child wanted to curl up in her moms jacket.]

She fought lots and she was the captain of my ship and crew before she died. She was the greatest pirate ever and she founds a lot'a treasure. I have... Oh wait no, I don't anymore. I had a little box of jewelry and gems with me here before the whale thing.
