Summary: Just Jack trolling everyone ever with his mad Japanese skills. It's just like in them animes, guys.
Warnings: Long live the non sequitur. If your character speaks Japanese, feel free to catch him on his antics. If not, expect Jack to follow your character around, chattering up in a language they can't understand. Because he's bored, okay.

[Well, the way he sees it, there are two options here: sit down and complain - and hope anyone could understand the complaining - or take advantage of this.

There aren't many things to be considered advantageous in the tower as a whole, Jack has learned in his months here, but when it all fails, there's always the most basic advantage you can have in the face of adversity: be the guy laughing, not the one crying about it.

That's why he's strolling down the stairs cheerfully, waving at anyone he sees.]

[Itachi hears words that, by all rights, he should be able to understand. He recognizes the clipped syllables and general overall tone of his native tongue (give or take), but try as he might, his brain simply can't make sense of what he's saying. He doesn't understand a single word.

He turns toward the source of the voice, and spots a familiar face. Ah, it's that man he met when the Tower got attacked a few months ago. Had he always spoken that language? Never mind, that wasn't important.

Itachi put a hand to his ear and then waved it back and forth, giving a small shake of his head. He hopes the message, "I can't understand you," is clear enough.]

[Oh, the message's clear enough. Jack's just not in the mood to heed it.]

Oh, no, really, I do think you should stop fretting about the hair. Ain't good for you, that.

[silentsacrifice]

[Itachi gives him a look, though he doesn't pause in his descent down the stairs. He shakes his head again, wondering if perhaps the Tower's taken away Jack's higher reasoning skills, too.]

[Jack points a finger at Itachi.]

Now don't give me that look, or your face's gonna get stuck that way.

[Itachi narrows his eyes marginally. In a last-ditch attempt to get Jack to understand, he finally decides to speak up, hoping that perhaps he might be familiar with the language Itachi has gotten stuck with.

In Esperanto, he says:] I don't understand what you're saying.

[What is this? A pirate. He's killed pirates before, or sent people to kill them. Fun times.]

[RUDE??? Pirates are awesome, who'd want to kill them? Except, you know. Their victims. And governments. And most people who know what pirates are actually like... BUT STILL, HOW RUDE!]

I really should start looking up foreign languages at the library.

[In the meantime, he flashes his vampire fangs at the pirate. Half the time here that gets intrigue, but maybe this pirate will be the exception and take it as a warning.]

[Yeah, Jack is pulling a face, but hey, he's got an undead monkey as a pet, he's not as freaked out as one would expect.]

[Tohko had been scribbling away in her notebook, writing out a story for a Christmas gift when she heard someone call out. After closing her notebook and looking up, she sees that the person is dressed like a pirate. Hopefully he's a nice pirate like Tetra and not a guy like Jas. Hook or Long John Silver.]

[Tohko's a little puzzled when the pirate mentions a whale. Maybe he was like Ishmael and considered a day without seeing or meeting a whale in stories, food, or anywhere, a good day.]

Yup. It seems like a perfect day to read or write something..just as long as you can avoid any random monsters.

Oh, come on now, where's your adventurous spirit, girl?

[At this, Tohko chuckles.] Oh, I'm not opposed to adventures. I quite enjoy them, but they usually have to have a goal, a purpose that I decide to fulfill while on that adventure. Having a random monster jump me in the library while I'm mu-erm, reading Peter Pan is not much of an adventure. That's just a fight.

By the way, my name isn't 'girl'. I'm Tohko Amano, the book girl.

[Togami glances across the room at him, curling his lips into a smirk. He just can't help but troll right back at him. While speaking fluent Japanese of course.]

Typical foreigner. Did you find those clothes at the Halloween store too?

[There's a small pause, tiny, but when the expected slap doesn't come because women are always slapping poor Jack for no reason whatsoever, Jack brightens considerably.]

Cat got your tongue, love? It'd be a tragedy, that, it was such a talented tongue.

[She came closer, stroking Jack's face with her fingertips, the words coming from her lips almost French but not quite] I see you're far more talented with that tongue than I realized. And it was quite talented before.

The voice sounds nice no matter the language, eh? Then again, you always sound so pretty, darling.
