Summary: A general open post for finding partners in the Leashes Event.

As the tower awoke to the leashes binding them to the others, they were of course curious. And those who weren't...well perhaps the person on the other end came to find them. Knowing who you're attached to and feeling is probably for the best.

Nothing seems to be just what it seems in this place after all.

[Once she wakes up, she frowns to see the bright collar around her neck and cascading down and out the door. Wait what?

Blinking, she looks around and fumbles with her dress only- well- with a collar on it's really hard to get dressed. Huffing, she tossed it and opts to just go with the white night dress and slips on her usual dark brown boots and heads out.

Step by cautious step, she follows the collar's leash while gathering it up in her arms.] What kind of cruel joke is this now?

[Sollux has been following the damn thing, too, scowling with irritation. The other colour it's swirled with is purple, along with his blue, and if that means it's connected to Eridan, he's going to flip his shit.

Though the collar colours don't seem to have anything to do with blood colour, it would just be his luck, that's all.

Thankfully he doesn't have to go far before he finds the other end - a cute human girl looking very perplexed.

Hey there. You have any clue what the fuck'th going on here?

[Still gathering some of the leash in her hand, the Nation begins to idly wonder just how long this thing really is. She's never heard of mile long leashes before.

Almost near the point of giving up, she notices that the other side seems to be getting tugged on as well and looking up she sees it's one of those- people? things? kids? grey things with horns she's seen around the network. Remembering that, she wonders if he knows the cute small one with the cat like horns.]

I'm afraid I -- [Turning her head in confusion with her eyes still on him, she notices that...adorable lisp] I uh- I'm just as confused as you are on this.

[He looks at her with some wariness, but she looks just as confused as he feels. She also looks like she's been following the leash, just as he has, trying to find the person at the other end.]

Yeah, that'th obviouth, I guethh. [He shrugs and then cocks his head at her] Uh, I'm Thollukth. I thuppothe we're thtuck together until whatever thith ith goeth away again.

[Staring at him for a moment, she really did her best not to start going in to fits of giggles at just how much of a lisp he had. It wasn't something she was used to given none of the other nations really- ever spoke with any sort of impediment.]

Ah- It's nice to meet you. ...Sollux? I'm Elizaveta Hedervary.

[At her staring, he starts to turn a bit yellow under the grey skin as he blushes and scowls.]

Yeah, that'th right. Thorry about the lithp, it'th fucking lame, I know. [And he's just not going to even ATTEMPT her name]

[Watching him turn yellow worries her... At least with humans turning yellow isn't a good sign.

Carefully she raises her hand to touch his forehead with the back of it before she offers a small smile of sympathy.]

Heh, don't apologize. It's actually really cute.

Cute? [He draws back away from her hand as she moves to touch him, startled] What are you doing?

Oh. [Pulls her hand back and rubs her cheek sheepishly.] Sorry you're- turning yellowish. A tint that is. I was just hoping you weren't getting sick or something.

[Okay, now he's feeling a little sheepish] Oh, well don't worry about that. My blood ith yellow, unlike yourth. It'th jutht normal for me.

[Blinks and stares at him for a moment before she tilts her head and gives a smile.] Alright, that's a little worry off of my mind then. I'm glad you're not getting sick then.

I've never met anyone- or anything with yellow blood though. That's rather amazing.

[He'd roll his eyes, but she's just too sweet. He snorts softly and shrugs, looking awkwardly down at the floor instead.] Actually it'th conthidered pretty shitty. Trollth have a range of blood colourth. Red ith the lowetht, and purple ith the highetht. Tho yellow ith pretty low. But no, it'th not like I'm thick or anything.

Hm..sounds like a segregation no one really needs. Our people sometimes do that but- that's mostly just because people are sometimes afraid of things are different. [Gives a small shrug of her shoulders.]

Anyways, I'm not going to judge you for your blood color. You're nice as is and that's good enough for me.

Yeah, the hemothpectrum ith pretty thtupid. Mothtly only the high bloodth think it'th a big important thing. [He smiles at her, though] You theem nithe, too.

Of course. The higher ups think of only themselves after all. [Might be just a little bitter on that given she was on the low spectrum during the Ottoman and Habsburg empire.]

Ah well, not much we can do about it now hm? At least here we're all equal.

That'th for fucking sure. [He hadn't really thought of it like that, but it's nice to think about] Yeah, we're all one big happy family, thtuck in a weird dangerouth tower and unable to ethcape.

Unfortunately it seems to take a mass crisis to unite people.

[Tilts her head and looks down at the leash in her hands before glancing up at him] So- what do we do about this?

[Oh right, the leash. He pokes a bit of it with his toe, then bends and sets out a section straightened out on the floor.]

Well, why don't I try to cut it?

Oh, I suppose that might work?

Do you have something to cut it with? I was only allowed some of my smaller weapons upon coming here. [If all else, he c-could probably use them teef of his.]

Just don't hurt yourself.

I've got thomething, yeah. [And it's not his teeth.

Red and blue power crackles around his eyes and spark like electricity between his horns. He picks up the length of leash with his powers and it glows red and blue and purple as he uses his powers to try to tear it apart.]

[Holy hell, where did that come from?

Squeaking, she holds out the leash as far as she can from herself.] R-Remember, don't over do it or hurt yourself- or me, please.

Jutht don't get in front of me.

[He angles himself slightly away from her to make sure he doesn't hurt her by accident, still pulling with all of his might, but the leash barely even stretches. With a snarl, he tries the eye lasers.

Red and blue beams erupt from his eyes and slam into the flimsy-looking length of plastic.

Unfortunately it does more damage to the wall behind it than to the leash itself]

...Shit.

[Well, she keeps that in mind and tries her best to stay away from his field of vision-lasers.

Seeing the leash do nothing more than stretch, she frowns and tilts her head.] Well..I guess we couldn't really expect it to be that simple, right?

[He couldn't try this kind of blast on one of the collars, so he hasn't really tested how this material responds to his eye lasers before. But he sighs and lets the leash fall to the floor again, the powerful crackling dying away.

He glances at his companion]

Oh well. It wath worth trying. Thorry you're connected to me, el. I'm probably going to drive you crathy if it goeth on too long.

[Blinking, she lowered the leash before patting his shoulder with her hand.] Don't say that. Trust me, I'm pretty sure you won't drive me crazy if you're this considerate. [THANK GOD it wasn't Prussia she was connected to and for that she was just so grateful to him.]

Don't worry, we'll figure a way out.
