Summary: Dave is feeling a lot of things right now, guys. He decided to chill in bed today.

[Dave is lying in bed with his hands propped behind his head, staring up at the poster's he'd hung on the ceiling, occasionally glancing at the ones he'd hung on the wall. His chest is heavy and his mind is racing.

His brother was alive. You'd think that would make him happy. But no, he felt crappier than ever, including when he'd found him dead, stabbed by Jack Noir. And he really didn't know why. It was frustrating. It was making him mad, worried, stressed, upset.

He kept an emotionless face as he let out a soft sigh, shifting his shades on his face. He didn't really want to talk to anyone right now, and he doubted anyone would really come looking for him. He was free to linger in his thoughts.

His only worries were about the leash. Then again he didn't know Ven very well. Why should Ven even care?]

Maybe we can get steak and celery. Never said we couldn't have both. That thing is like a wishing well.

[He furrows a brow at her. Oh right... he almost forgot...]

.... You could come with us, if you'd like. But... you probably wouldn't be too happy if you came. We're in the middle of some really dangerous plans... [He leaves out the fact that he's going to go on a suicide mission back in their world.]

[ She smiles, a little hesitant. ]

I'd like that a lot. Being with you is a lot better than being all by myself.

Mailboxes wouldn't be a bad idea. Though conveniently portable communicating devices might be better. But hey, mailboxes sounds more doable. They don't seem to like giving out too much tech.

[He grips his apple juice a bit tightly, thinking it over. He'll... leave out the fact that he and Rose were entangled in suicide mission shenanigans for now. Burn that bridge when they cross it.]

Yeah, you can come with us. The other Jade should be there too, but multiples isn't really a big deal. I mean dreamselves are already multiples, aren't they? Plus we got Davesprite and also Jadesprite, so yup. Should be totally cool.

I want to write letters to people and put them in mailboxes. Like those homes in old pictures.

[ She hesitates, and then leans against his shoulder. ]

Other-- [ Oh that's right. She's not the only Jade any more. Sometimes it's hard to remember that, the tiny things that make her different. ] Who is Jadesprite...?

Hah, most people use email now to send letters, but mailboxes could be useful for like, packages and stuff.

[Dave sort of freezes up when she leans on him, but doesn't really object. He's kind of too emotionally burnt out right now for the gesture to really register with him.]

Well, our Jade, the alpha Jade, prototyped her Kernelsprite with her dreamself. Like how I prototyped mine with your Dave and that's how we got Davesprite. So, we got a Jadesprite too.

...Jade's not sure if she likes that term very much. Insinuating that she's not her own Jade, she's someone else's subservient. But a frown is all she gives to indicate that. ]

Why my dreamself?

[He seems to notice her discomfort, it wasn't fun being from a doomed timeline.]

Alpha's not a good or bad thing... it just means she's from the timeline without any time paradoxes, just for clarity. Like I'm Alpha Dave, doesn't make me any better than any other Dave.

[He takes a deep breath.]

Your dog prototyped himself in the Kernelsprite and made Jack Noir, our "final boss", completely invincible. She couldn't communicate with Bec so she decided it'd be a good idea to prototype the Kernelsprite with her dreamself so she could communicate with it and ask it to fight Jack. That plan pretty much didn't work at all.

Someone's still the beta though...that's the alphabet...

[ After a moment, she speaks up. ]

Do you think Bec would show up here if I asked for him?

[He didn't quite catch that, but decides it's best to move away from the topic.]

I think they could get Bec here if they really wanted to, considering all these people are here from all over different universes and timelines. Also Rose has her mutant pet cat or something, pretty sure they could get your mutant pet dog here. Not that they will... I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask though?
