Back in the tower

Summary: Suzaku was sent back to his dead world for a week and a bit and missed all the fun language and Ruana happenings. He's back and just sort of gets on with life. Feel free to find him at any point.
Warnings:

The world was as dead as it had been the last time Suzaku had been there, in a way he welcomed the break from the tower. He had needed time to think, time to not be around people who cared more for him than they should. Time on a destroyed world, where he was the only living thing there... Suited him more than it should have.

His thoughts were a little bit clearer when he woke up back in his bed in the tower. He made his way to the cafeteria keeping an eye out for those he knew; mostly Nunnally. But he didn't actively seek them out. He picked up a nutrient bar, noting that it must be Jason's month. Which meant that the month had turned since he was last here. It had gotten colder as well, a fact which Suzaku tried to ignore as he made his way to the seventh floor.

It was far too cold to be a pool cleaner, but Suzaku did his job anyways strapping the oxygen tank to himself and beginning.

When he came up after ten minutes he was shivering dangerously, he wrapped himself in a towel and tried to build himself up for taking a second oxygen tank and going down for another ten minutes, it usually took at least three times before all the parts he was to clean were done.

"It happens"? *Enoch shakes his head.* ...Have you been sent back to your world so often?

[swordofzero]

"This is the... second time I think. Though there have been a couple of times my world has been used as... punishment or whatever. That was different though, it wasn't dead. Not like this."

[warriorscribe]

"As punishment...what do you mean?"

[swordofzero]

Of course... he had met Enoch when Enoch was new... after he had died in the pods... "The month before you arrived Jason placed a group of us in a labyrinth with the instructions to fight to the death, until there was one winner. When we died we were punished, I was sent to a version of my world."

He paused a moment before continuing, "Also about one year ago Ruana made herself known to us for the first time, she claimed she could send us home and a group of us went to versions of our worlds. From what I can tell it was a twisted version made up of our worst fears, one's where we had disappeared and left those we knew to our fates."

Oh...of course. For Jason it was likely purely punishment. For Ruana...she probably thought it was funny. He felt bad for her, but it didn't make this any less saddening.

"So the one you experience, and what other people experience...it's likely real, considering the others you've seen were deliberate and...seemed to be made for you."

Suzaku nodded, "The other two were very specific and aimed to hurt me, the one I have just come back from, and went in summer is just dead."

Enoch sighed. "I'm sorry you've had to endure those sights... But you wouldn't...have happened to notice anything that might point to what destroyed your world, would you? Ruana called it a 'pressure'..."

The bodies... Suzaku didn't like thinking about it but they needed all the information they could get if they were to have any chance here. "Those that are dead, their deaths weren't peaceful. A pressure would explain it..."

Of course, Enoch was misremembering. Ruana had said something pushing, and the word "pressure" had happened somewhere else. But with the conversations deleted, he had no way of knowing he was ever so slightly wrong.

"It...it matches what she told us?"

He keeps himself from asking if they appeared crushed. He isn't sure he really wants to know.

"I think so, yes. A pressure would explain it."

Less crushed more... organs everywhere. But Suzaku doesn't really want to talk about it.

Fair enough, he doesn't want to hear it...

"The more we learn, the more it seems this is truth." He sighs. "...Welcome back, then."

[swordofzero]

"It seems so..." Suzaku mostly tried to not think about it... as hard as it was. Then again whether it was real or an illusion the reality of their imprisonment was the same.
